What is newstrkr.xml

Yesterday I folowed a suggestion to avoid a current trojan by removing the ARDagent.app from my system. ( the suggestion was to make a zip archive then trash the original). After doing this, i logged into another account. when i returned to my usual account, there was a "recovered items" folder containing a file called newstrkr.xml.
any idea what this is?
When i clicked on it, Big Bang Four-in-a-Row opened. I have never opened any Big Bang games. Google led me to someones (mine?) cache file for march 2008 at cstat.kku.ac.th. That site seems to be usiing webaliser to analyse server files for someone. I don't run a server. i never use ARD.
I have a clone of my HD made 3 days before I did this. On the clone, Spotlight can't find a file matching that name.
The Macscan demo, with all updates, says i have no problems.

SecureMac has introduced a free Trojan Detection Tool for Mac OS X. It's available here:
http://www.securemac.com/
The DNSChanger Removal Tool detects and removes spyware targeting Mac OS X. Called DNSChanger Trojan and also known as OSX.RSPlug.A Trojan Horse the software attacks users attempting to play a fake video file.
Upon attempting to play the video, the victim receives the following message:
“Quicktime Player is unable to play movie file.
Please click here to download new version of codec.”
Upon running the installer, the user's DNS records are modified, redirecting incoming internet traffic through the attacker's servers, where it can be hijacked and injected with malicious websites and pornographic advertisements. The trojan also installs a watchdog process that ensures the victim's DNS records stay modified on a minute-by-minute basis.
SecureMac's DNSChanger Removal Tool allows users to check to see if the trojan has been installed on their computer; if it has, the software helps to identify and remove the offending file. After a system reboot, the users' DNS records will be repaired.
There may be other ways of guarding against Trojans, viruses and general malware affecting the Mac. A white paper has recently been published on the subject by SubRosaSoft, available here:
http://www.macforensicslab.com/ProductsAndServices/index.php?mainpage=document_general_info&cPath=11&productsid=174
Also, beware of MacSweeper:
MacSweeper is malware that misleads users by exaggerating reports about spyware, adware or viruses on their computer. It is the first known "rogue" application for the Mac OS X operating system. The software was discovered by F-Secure, a Finland based computer security software company on January 17, 2008
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MacSweeper
On June 23, 2008 this news reached Mac users:

  • Hi to all... What is a  XML data provider,stored Procedure, personal data

    Hi to all... What is a  XML data provider,stored Procedure, personal data providers in deski.  when we use these data provider in desk top intelligence.. and use of it.
    Please give detail description of the above...
    Thanks for reply..........

    Hi,
    We can create Desktop Intelligence reports using XML Data Provider, Personal Data Files and Stored Procedure.
    Following is some detailed information about these three.
    Xml data provider:
    Xml data provider is used for the integration of external data sources stored in XML format.
    This is similar to HTML.
    Stored Procedure:
    A stored procedure is a set of SQL commands that has been compiled and stored on the database server.
    Once the stored procedure has been "stored", client applications can execute the stored procedure over and over again without sending it to the database server again and without compiling it again.
    Stored procedures improve performance by reducing network traffic and CPU load.
    Personal data files:
    u2022     *.prn files
         A PRN file is a special type of file which contains instructions for a printer, it tells the printer what to print on the page and where as well as which paper tray to use, what the paper size is and a number of other controls.
    u2022     *.asc files
          Between the values of a row any number of carriage returns  or blanks are allowed. In any case it is strongly recommended that the data table be stored in such a way that it can be read and edited easily.
           The values may be stored in any format (integer, floating point, exponential notation) and they must be separated at least by one blank. The class information must be of integer type, the row identifiers are interpreted as strings. The lines can have any length and must not contain any comment.
    u2022     *.csv files
    A CSV file is a specially formatted plain text file which stores spreadsheet or basic database-style information in a very simple format, with one record on each line, and each field within that record separated by a comma.

  • What is an XML PARSER?

    What is an XML Parser?
    what is it's use?

    XI is middleware tool to send data from one location to another Basically a middleware tool.
    and the data that XI send has some structre like
    firstname:XYZ
    Middlaename:ABX
    lastname:PQR
    All this data is represent as XML ( A way to store the data with tag here it is firstname last name
    So XI uses XLL parser to parse this data
    After parsing XI will come to know what is first name what is last name
    So actually dat is represent as below in XML
    <firstname>XYZ</firstname>
    <Middlaename>ABX</Middlaename>
    <lastnamePQR</lastname>
    Above is the defination of data that XI is going to send
    But in case data is wrong like
    <Middlaename>ABX</Middlaename>
    <firstname>XYZ</firstname>
    <lastnamePQR</lastname>
    Note Here ABX is first line
    and this data is wrong
    XI will find this wrong data with help of XML parser which has correct defination of the data
    in case data is wrong parser will give error that data is wrong
    Ps: If helful please give point

  • For what purposes web.xml  is used ?

    Hello,
    Can you please tell me for what purposes web.xml file is used under the conf folder?

    It is a deployment descriptor that passes information to the application server about how the webapp should be configured. In other words a configuartion file for the web application.

  • What kind of XML concepts does XSU support?

    From the XSU release notes I have learned that XML attributes are ignored and an XML document has to be transformed via XSLT.
    What about other tags like choice nodes, sequences?
    Does XSU also support inheritance and is it capable of recognizing multiple occuring elements? Or can all this achieved only via an XSLT transformation of the original document?
    Thanks for your help,

    Thanks for your help,
    Bernhard I think you mean using XSU for data loading. Then, what XSU support is a format like:
    <ROWSET>
    <ROW>
    <COLUMN_NAME>....</COLUMN_NAME>
    </ROW>
    </ROWSET>
    Currently the XML SQL Utility (XSU) can only store data in a single table. Otherwise, you need help from XSLT or INSTEADOF Trigger.

  • What's the xml for this?

    I am running on a tomcat server and have not been able to find what the xml is to create a uri to a resource other than a servlet. how do I edit the web.xml file to create a uri to a webpage or image?

    To give you an example of what I am talking about (I'm the author of the post, this is just a diff acount) if I wanted to make a uri to link to a servlet on tomcat I would add this to the web.xml file in WEB-INF:
    <servlet>
    <servlet-name>Anything</servlet-name>
    <servlet-class>Name of servlet class (w/o .class at the end)</servlet-class>
    </servlet>
    <servlet-mapping>
    <servlet-name>The servlet name defined above</servlet-name>
    <url-pattern>(Anything i'll use->) /Servlet/</url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>
    then when you want to link to the servlet in say, a form you would write the following in an html file:
    <form action="/Servlet/" method="Post">
    you can do the same thing with a link:
    text
    What I am curious to know is: How do I do this if I want the uri to link to an image? (I know for a page I can just link to a servlet that just forwards you to a page) I've tried changing the servlet-class to another resource, but that doesn't work. Does anyone know how to do this?

  • What is web.xml and why it is used?

    hi,
    am new to servlet technology, i tried to find a topic like this in this fourm also in google but didn't get a exact one. can anybody explain me or suggest me some resource about this.
    thanx in advance.
    Max

    hi stevejluke,
    thanx for the correct link.
    nx for the correct link. but what i in doubt with is
    why we should use web.xml? may be my question is very
    silly, may be too basic, forgive me for that...
    Thanx & Regards,
    SaikatAt the most basic level:
    There are several versions of the Servlet specification, You need the web.xml to tell the server which version of the spec your application conforms to so the server knows how to deal with different things.
    If you have a servlet, you also need the web.xml to define what URL signals a request that should be handled by your servlet.
    At this point, you need to sit down and read a book. Do what it says, blindly at first. Just do what it says (but do try to understand the 'what' of it, just don't question the 'why'). After you have a few applications running, go back and ask yourself this question again and try to see what you are using the web.xml for in those applications you have.

  • What is stringtable.xml and can I delete the files?

    I just looked at my downloads file and there are LOTS of stringtable.xml files.  Can someone please explain what they are and whether or not I can delete them?

  • What is Crossdomain.xml

    Can some one tell me what is the use of crossdomain.xml? And how it works? Where it should be the crossdomain.xml file is placed in client side or on remoting server?

    If you have a Flash movie in a given domain on one server, you cannot access data on another domain. This is a security precaution. In order to use data from another domain, you have to allow that other data to be shared by including a crossdomain.xml file in the second domain. This crossdomain.xml file tells the flash player that data coming from this second domain is OK to use.
    There are a number of scenarios explained in the first document that I listed above. Do you have a situation that is different from all of those examples?

  • What is feed.xml and why does it open as PBEM Game File in iweb?

    When going through files in my web site I came across a .xml file, being not very computer savvy I don't know where this came from, if it's necessary, can I delete it or is it opening in a wrong program? Why is a game file attached to my web site?

    Could it be possible that the default program to open .xml files on my computer is this PBEM Program? It seems to open the BigBang 4 In a Row that I think came with my MacBook. Is it possible that it should be opening in a different program?

    Hi ,
    We are on SRM 7 ECS , support pack SAPKIBKV08.
    We have a process in which vendor will send a Purchase Order response  which will be
    converted to XML format by a middleware. This XML message will come to
    SRM and post a POR. I want to do the EDI mapping for this XML message,

    Hi,
    You can process with XML without IDoc.
    Vendor->  (XML) -> PI -> (XML) -> SRM.
    Please check PurchaseOrderConfirmation_In in namespace "http://sap.com/xi/SRM/Procurement/Global".
