We all know what an Object is, it's your task to do some research and find out. Feel free to summarize your views on the definition of an Object after you have done some thorough research. But do not expect everyone to summarize pages of research for you. Doing research is a valuable skill to develop. So good luck.

  • Is there any command/query/etc, which would allow to understand what database objects (for example tables) are consuming memory and how much of it?

    TimesTen Release 11.2.1.9.6 (64 bit Linux/x86_64)

    Is there any command/query/etc, which would allow to understand what database objects (for example tables) are consuming memory and how much of it?
    tried to use ttsize function, but it gives some senseless results – for example, for the biggest table, tokens, it produces following output (that this table is 90GB in size – what physically cannot be true):
    Command> call ttsize('tokens',null,null);
    < 90885669274.0000 >
    1 row found.

    Are you able to use the command line version of ttSize instead? This splits out how much space is being used by indexes (in the Temp section of the TT memory segment), which I think is being combined into one, whole figure in the procedure version of ttSize you're using. For example:
    ttSize -tbl ia my_ttdb
    Rows = 4
    Total in-line row bytes = 17524
    Total = 17524
    Command> create index i1 on ia(a);
    ttSize -tbl ia my_ttdb;
    Rows = 4
    Total in-line row bytes = 17524
    Indexes:
    Range index JSPALMER.I1 adds 5618 bytes
      Total index bytes = 5618
    Total = 23142
    Command> call ttsize ('ia',,);
    < 23142.0000000000 >
    1 row found.
    In 11.2.2 we added the procedure ttComputeTabSizes which populates system tables with detailed table size data, and was designed to be an alternative to ttSize. Unfortunately it still doesn't calculate index usage though, and it isn't in 11.2.1.

  • What does "object-key-..." refers to ?

    Hello Workflow Fans !
    Another question... when I look at the ABAP code of a BOR Object Method that refers to, as an example, object-key-customerno... what does "object-key" truly refers to ?  Does it refers to "&_WI_OBJECT_ID& ?
    See code example:
    begin_method o23_maj_ecd changing container.
    SET PARAMETER ID 'KUN' FIELD object-key-customerno.
    CALL TRANSACTION 'XD05'.
    Thanks in advance for your precious help.

    Hello Rick,
    Thanks for your prompt answer.  Considering that my workflow handles multiple different business object through the course if it's lifecycle, I am just wondering how SAP translates "object-key" considering it uses different business objects.  Does it come from the "binding" ? If so, the binding of this particular task looks like this:
    &ZBusObj1& -> &ZBusObj1&
    &ZBusObj2& <-> &_WI_OBJECTY_ID&
    ... then, if I use "object-key" in the code of my methode being called by this task, does it refer to &ZBusObj1& or &_WI_OBJECT_ID& ?  I'm trying to understand how SAP translates "object" in this context !
    Thanks.

  • What BOR Object contains Sales Team Members (Partner Functions)

    We are running SAP CRM 7.0 and I've created a nice workflow upon creation of an opportunity.
    See this link which I posted a few days ago: Re: Get employee responsible email
    The opportunity BO BOR Object type is BUS2000111.
    Within this object if I click the workflow container is another container for EmployeeResponsibleUser and here I was able to get the "Employee Responsible" by specifying "NameWithLeadingUS". This grabbed the email and sent it to the email address of the employee responsible.
    This works great, but along with the employee responsible (which is just a partner function) I need to send the email to other Sales Team members (other partner functions defined in SPRO).
    These members are defined as "Partner Functions".
    Here is a screen shot of our SAP CRM 7.0 system with the partner functions:
    http://img198.imageshack.us/img198/5086/65625843.png
    Right now in the container of BUS2000111 I can only see the employee responsible. How would I be able to see the other Partner functions like "Business Account Manager" or "Local Account Manager" etc...
    They are all defined in SPRO
    SPRO->CRM->Basic Functions->Partner Processing->Define Partner Functions
    And then related in
    SPRO->CRM->Basic Functions->Partner Processing->Define Partner Determination Procedure
    I need these objects to be able to send email to these guys as well...So my question is what BOR object are these members stored in?

    We've transfered all main Partners by the solution provided in Extract Custom Fields to BW

  • Could someone explain what is Object?

    Could someone explain what is Object? I have a little
    idea what is it, but not sure. Please give me some
    concret example. Thanks.

    An object is an Instance of a class. A class describes a uniwue entity with behaviors and attributes. For example you can consider your arm.
    public class Arm {
      /** How many hairs on the arm. */
      private int hairCount;  // <== This is an attribute
      /** This is a method to set the hairCount Variable.
       * We dont let the outside user set it directly because that would
       * create problems if we wanted to change its implementation to
       * use a float. In addition we might have logic in this setter to
       * prevent bad data.
      public void setHairCount(final int hairCount) {
        // this is a good example of logic in the set method that we dont
        // want the user to bypass.
        if (hairCount < 0) {
          throw new IllegalArgumentException();
        this.hairCount = hairCount; // <-- Note how we have to use this. to
                                    //     access the instance variable
                                    //     insead of the parameter.
      /** This is a method to move the arm.
       * This is behavior of the class. ONLY behavior pertaining to an arm
       * belongs in the arm class. For example, the method "sneeze" would
       * not belong here but be in the Nose class instead. You can see then
       * that each class describes an entity.
      public void move() {
        // code to move the arm.
    }We have only ONE class per type but we can have many objects. For example the description of an arm does not change no matter who'se arm it is. The data in the class changes but not the actual essence of the arm. So we instantiate two arms for every person (assuming they arent disabled). To instantiate is to create a new object like so.
    Arm myarm = new Arm(): This creates a new object that we can work with.
    So consider the old inteview question of, "What is the difference between a class and an object?" The answer is, "A class is a map or desription of an object; whereas an object is a descrite instance of a class."

  • What is object reference?

    Hi all,
    what is object reference? How it works ?
    is there any documents location for it?
    Thanks

    An object reference is a type in Java that holds, conceptually, the address of an object. Any variable you declare will either be of a primitive type (byte, char, short, int, long, float, double, boolan) or of a reference type (anything that you would think of as an "object" type).
    A Java reference is conceptually very much like a C pointer, but more limited in what you can do with it--you can't assign arbirary values or do math or cast between reference types an integral types like you can with C pointers.
    Any declaration you see in Java--variable, method return type, parameter--that's whose type is not one of the primitives (i.e., it's an "object" type) is a reference.
    Foo foo1 = new Foo(); // 1
    Foo foo2 = new Foo(); // 2
    Foo foo3 = foo1; // 3
    foo3 = foo2; //4 foo1, foo2, foo3, foo4 are all variables that hold object references.
    At line 1, we create an object of type Foo and stick a reference to that in foo1.
    At line 2, we create another Foo and stick a reference to it in foo2.
    At line 3, we copy the reference in foo1 into foo3. foo1 and foo3 both refer to the same Foo object.
    At line 4, we copy the reference in foo2 into foo3. Now foo2 and foo3 both refer to the same object. This doesn't change either of the Foo objects, and it doesn't change the foo1 reference. It just changes which object foo3 refers to.

  • Client need to be opened for what all objects?

    Hi Experts,
    I need to list all the objects for which clients need to opened for customizing/master data download, for ex. when we are downloading condition records we need client to be in open/modifiable state, So what I need now is suggestions based on your experience wherever you feel that cleint needs to be opened for this activity .
    Thanks for sharing your experience.
    With Regards,
    Mayank Choudhary

    Hi Mayank,
    Even I tried for the list of all cross-client download objects in vain. I figured a work around for this and found it helpful.
    To check wether a particular object is downloading cross-client data:
    1) Determine all the tables involved by executing CRM table SMOFTABLES with the adapter object name. (Ex: DNL_CUST_SHIP downloads data from the following tables: TINC, TINCT, TPRIO, TPRIT, TVSB, TVSBT.)
    2) In order to check wether these tables are cross client or not, execute table DD02L in R/3 system with all the tables determined in step 1.
    Ex: DNL_CUST_SHIP
    Table  : DD02L
    Table name----
    Client-specific
    TINC----
    X
    TINCT----
    X
    TPRIO----
    X
    TPRIT----
    X
    TVSB----
    X
    TVSBT----
    X
    This means that none of the tables invloved in DNL_CUST_SHIP download are cross-client and can be downloaded without opening the client.
    If there are any client independent tables involved then we need to open client and perform download.
    Ex. DNL_CUST_CNDALL
    The below mentioned tables are involved in DNL_CUST_CNDALL object download and are cross-client and hence the client needs to be open while downloading the object.

  • What BI-object must be changable when saving a Broadcasting object ?

    HI,
    I want to save a Broadcasting-Object (e.g. a query with given variables using e-mail).
    Before I can schedule the job, I have to save my settings.Whenever I try this, it's telling me that the system is not changable and I need to open it by using SCC4 or SE06.
    It's our Production System, therefore I don't want to open it generally, but I certainly can open the object(s) which would allow me to save my Broadcasting settings..
    Would anyone of you know, what I have to open. ?
    Thanks

    Have you tried changing the BEx Changeability settings for Broadcasting objects in the Transport Connector?
    RSA1 -> Transport Connection -> Object Changeability -> BRSE (Broadcast Setting)
    If you change this to be changeable you should be able to save new Broadcast Schedules.

  • What does "Object "Cannel Border" is not currently available mean?

    I'm trying to do a lesson in "Classroom in a Book" for Adobe Photoshop Elements 10. It is Creative Fun with Guided Edit". Create a "out of bounds" picture of girl on bike riding out of the photo.Have done everything in order that was requested.
    Made a selection with the quick selection tool of the girls parts that were supposted to be out of the picture.   After that was supposed to click a button "out of bounds" Got this message "object "channel border" is not currently available."  Haven't the foggiest as to what that means.
    I don't know if it was something I was supposed to do or if it meant it wasn't available in my version 10 of Elements. The book is all about version 10 so I guess I just don't know enough.
    THAT'S WHY I BOUGHT THE BOOKI!  I don't think the authors of the book remember they are dealing with beginners.
    If anyone has any ideas they would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks for the info. You came through for me again!  I finished the project, but did something wrong in saving it.  I got the broken picture image.  Don't really care because I was able to do the project and don't care if I can prove it.
    Thanks again

  • What is object class?

    hi i am confused with the name? we can have so many object classes in the schema but why is the name object class? there can be class or there can be object but what is the meaning of object class?

    Thanks for all you replies guys. What ejp thought is right. As i am in the JNDI forum i thought people will understand my question in that context. if i am asking something about core java i would have posted my question in that particular forum. Any way if it lead to confusion i am sorry.
    Yes i am talking about LDAP attribute. I am confused with the name . the attribute can be simply calss rather than objectClass. I don't know why they have chosen the attribute name "objectclass" . This name just confused me. Any way thanks to you all.

    o   Enter the appropriate code
    o   Request a list of object types and make a selection
    Exmple
    S represents a position, Q represents a qualification, E represents a
    business event, and so on.
