What is oldest Acrobat (full) version compatible with Windows 8.1, 64-bit?

I am thinking about vers. X, but would like to know this answer first - thanks

Based on the site System requirements | Acrobat family of products - Older Versions (XI, X, 9), you need AA XI. However, as far as I know AA X runs on Win8.1 and I even think 9 and maybe 8 will run, though not supported for Win8.1. AA X is no longer available from Adobe. Any third party purchases can be very risky, so be very careful with such a purchase. At this point, I would suggest AA DC instead.

Is this version compatible with Windows 7 - 64 Bit OS?

    Hello Bob,
I tried to install quickbooks 2009/10 accounting on my pc and an error message 1603 appear something to do with microsoft net. framework. I am awaiting reply from the quickbooks support team.
To my horror checking forums on this issue, I am not the only one with complaints about Quickbooks 2009/10 incompatibility with Win 7 64 bit and apparently poor customer support. I sincerely hope this is not true. I am worried my first investment as a small business owner is already a waste of cash. : (

  • Adobe Acrobat 5 not compatible with Windows 8

When I try to open up files saved in Adobe Acrobat 5 my new computer with Windows 8 gives me a message that they are not compatible with Windows 8. What do I need to do to be able to open these files on my new computerwth Windows 8?

Did you install reader or such on Win8? AA5 is not even compatible with Win7, though it can be made to work with work arounds for the 32-bit version. I suspect you also have a 64-bit system, which I think is totally incompatibile with AA5. Download the Reader XI and try to open the PDFs with that. I suspect they will open fine.
If you want to create PDFs, you will need to purchase AA XI.

  • Standard and Pro versions compatible with Windows 7

    Hello
I am looking for a list of Adobe Acrobat Standard and Adobe Acrobat Pro that are compatible with Windows 7. We are upgrading over 1000 computers to Windows 7 and we have many different versions of Adobe Acrobat writer Stndard and Pro.
    Thanks

There are also issues with 32 vs 64-bit systems. The latter requires updating your version in general. Generally the initial releases have not worked in the 54-bit environment. There are many driver issues with 64-bit systems and probably should look carefully if 64-bits are needed. The 64-bit system is useful if you are computationally focused, but may not be much of an advantage in standard office environments. Just be careful. If you are installing OFFICE 2010, then you need AAX for PDF Maker compatibility -- prior versions of Acrobat only allow printing from the OFFICE 2010 suite. Some folks have been successful with AA8 on 32-bit Win7 (I have only seen 1 post that would suggest success with 64-bit Win7). Prior versions of Acrobat can be made to work on 32-bit Win7 systems, but require work arounds (i.e., the AcroTray tool that automates the conversion to PDF process fails in Win7). The 64-bit system will probably fail for most of the earlier versions in such cases.
Realize that you may have to deal with Win8 shortly that has it's own issues.

  • Where could I get iTunes 7.32 or any version compatible with Windows 2000?

I recently rolled back to Windows 2000 from XP because I made some mistake and couldn't connect to the internet (I only did so after trying everything, but that's all unneeded information). After looking all over the Apple website, I could not find any version that is compatible with Windows 2000. Does anyone know where I could find one?

Never mind, found an installer in one of my back-ups from years ago.

  • Is there anything I can do to make Acrobat Pro 6 compatible with Windows 7?

    Hello,
I have a brand new Windows 7 laptop and I'm trying to use Adobe Acrobat Professional 6 on it. I ran the installation without a problem, however when I try to use it, I get an error message, which says that Adobe Acrobat Professional 6 is not compatible with Windows 7 operating system. Is there any driver or anything that I can download to make it work? Thank you in advance for any help.

Win 7 either comes with a virtural XP machine installed, or it's freelly availible.  I forget which, but this may be a simple solution to your issue.

  • How can I make Acrobat 6 Pro compatible with Windows 7?

When I load Acrobat 6 Pro on my Windows 7 laptop I get a message stating it isn't compatible.  Is there a fix for this issue?

If you were able to install it with Acrobat and Distiller opening if selected, there is a chance. However, it is a work around. The problem is typically the print driver and Acrotray. The work around (if these two basic programs run) is to install a color PS printer (may be one of the HP printers or even a PS printer from Adobe), rename it to Adobe PDF, and set the port to FILE. To print or use PDF Maker, you print to this Adobe PDF printer that you have created. Then open the file created in Distiller to obtain a PDF. I have done this with AA7 on a WIn7, 64-bit, and with AA5 (naming the printer Acrobat Distiller) on Win7, 32-bit, for testing.
Also, be sure to install the updates to Acrobat. You will likely have to download them from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows and install them in order.
