How does Oracle Hyperion system 9 Version 9.3.1 Licensing work? What controls or limits the number of users now hat there is no licence file needed?

You do. Oracle does not enforce the purchased license on any of their products programmatically -- they may request to come to your organization and perform an audit -- I believe the licensing agreement allows for this.
Basically as a business/it administrator/security function you should know the number of users you are licensed for and never exceed that and/or sync up with Oracle on a quarterly basis.

Implementation of Oracle Hyperion Performance Scorecard

Hi,
I am completely naive at Oracle EPM. As of now, we have implemented Oracle EBS with finance, SCM and HRMS & Payroll modules. Our company wants to see the legacy KPIs integrated with these modules.
So, I want to know
_1. which modules in Oracle EPM are required for implementing Scorecards and KPIs completely._
_2. what are the implementation steps?_
I dont know how to go about this implementation. Hope I would get some info from you guys.

This is ami. I am a student. As part of study we need to study Oracle Hyperion Finance System....
I am looking oracel web-site all over place..not getting a way to download / order sample cd-dvd.
Also, I can't find any documentation explaining how this front-end is desiigned,,..what are software used to make front end
what is backend db...as developer what i need to study ..if i want to be Oracle Hyperion System developer...
Also, There is no any tech. document telling what is technology behind it...how to make custom software..what are system requirment
as a developer where i start..what i study...?

What could be the problem if error below is encountered:

If we google a bit for this Java Exception, it says
This error might occur due to the Load at startup option being enabled for the Web module. This applies if your application has servlets that are configured to load at startup, then try to access enterprise beans during startup.
The solution it says is to disable this process if this is part of a start up sequence and then follow the correct order to Sart the Hyperion Services in correct order.
May be this may help!!

I am a newbie to Hyperion. We have Oracle Hyperion Performance Reporting Suite* as our front end for reporting in my current assignmnent.
I have previously worked with other OLAP tools and was eager to know what essentiallly does this sute contains of which my customer is looking for.

Help required regarding Hyperion Planning Forms,I am experiencing issue regarding Oracle Hyperion Planning during accessing data forms.
Let me tell you the whole background.
I have installed Oracle Hyperion successfully on two machines
(1) DB Tier (2) Application tier
after this i import application (i.e Hyp_Live exported from Prod),
and add following entries in registry.
Open Registry
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\TCPIP\Parameters
Add new DWORD Value named
     TcpTimedWaitDelay, right click and select Modify. Select decimal radio
     button, type in 30.
Add new DWORD Value named
     MaxUserPort, right click and select Modify. Select decimal radio button,
     type in 65534
Add new DWORD Value named
     MaxFreeTcbs, right click and select Modify. Select decimal radio button,
     type in 6250
Navigate
     HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Hyperion Solutions\CalcMgr0\HyS9CAL
Modify Xms, type -Xms512m and
     Modify Xmx, type -Xmx1024
Navigate
     HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Hyperion Solutions\Planning0\HyS9Plannin

During import activity i got error like this:

After that i import Business Rules although my application import activity was not complete successfully , and data load data into Essbase .
Now The problem is that when i try to access any form in Oracle Planning ,
then i got two type of errors
first Error "The data form 1.1 TD Non Performing Loans is invalid. Check log for details."
and 2nd error is .
i am working on this issue since last one week , but all in vain ,
A kind help is required ,

I have seen both Planning and Essbase log ,
Planning log show some wrong with parameter as below mentioned

I would like to install Oracle Hyperion Performance Scorecard on a VMWare Virtual Machine. As of now there's a pretty blank Windows 2003 Server installation on it.
What do I need to install it? I downloaded the EPM System Installer and the EPM Foundation Services, together with the Performance Scorecard Install file.

insert into blahh values (my_seq.nextval, ...) and use returniong clause to get the value back if necessary
You can use them in insert with subselects
insert into blah
select my_seq.nextval, ...
from ....

Customize Schedule Notification subject in Oracle Hyperion System 9.3.0.1

Hi all,
I am working on external trigger event and sending notification after bqy get updated so I have published a bqy file as a job and scheduler is working fine I am able to send mail to required user but These all are fine.
But I want to customize my mail(the notification mail)
Is there any way to customize notification mail. I am working on Oracle Hyperion System 9.3.0.1.
If anybody have gone through this please help me

And Hyperion Planning Desktop its 4th version where destop was instrodused ......not in 9 i......t has be take out so
