I am a newbie to Peoplesoft.
Can any body tell me what is "positive payment". is that different from "payment". I am totally confused.
Please help me guys. i got to do a task on that.

Positve Pay is actually the process where you give your Bank a file (generated from peoplesoft) that contains all the check that you created from A/P so that when the payee goes to the bank the bank can verify it and pay him the amount. It is done daily in our company.

thanks for your answer, its helpful but those fields you mentioned are not in 2LIS_11_VAHDR and 2LIS_11_VAITM where the SD consultant says I can find the payment terms and complete delivery indicator.

Change to the existing outgoing positive payment file (EID 820)

Hello Experts,
I have to make a change to the existing outgoing positive payment file (EID 820).
The current scenario is:
We are running the payment run in SAP and generating IDocs using program RFFOEDI1 mentioned in printout data medium. The IDocs generated are of Basic Type PEXR2002. These IDocs then processed by SAP PI and converted to EDI and the EDI is sent to the Bank. Currently in this process, we are not assigning the check numbers at the time of payment run. Also the check numbers are not there in the IDocs. The Bank prints the checks and sends us the check number which we update in SAP using Z program.
Now there is a change in the requirement and we need to assign the check numbers at the time of payment run and also transmit them with the EDI file to the Bank. Bank will print the checks and send it to the vendors.
Now as per my understanding, the check number will not be assigned until I use the program RFFOUS_C in printout data medium.
Please suggest the possible options to generate IDocs which has the check number in it.

You can use RFFOEDO_1 can still generate check 3's, just maintain check number in the check lots configuration and ensure you assign the lots to the correct payment method.

What are Preapproved Payments?

I got an alert on my PlayBook saying that version 1.02 of OrigamiBrowser is now available. I tried to download it, but I got an error message saying that my payment method was no longer valid. Since Origami is a free browser, I had no trouble in adding my PayPal information into BlackBerry World. Afterwards, however, the download failed.
Immediately after adding my PayPal information to BlackBerry World (BW), I got an email from PayPal saying "You've signed up for preapproved payments plan with Research In Motion". How can I find out what the preapproved payments are for? I've never made a purchase in BW before.

Hello,
Those simply are a pre-approved (by you) method of paying for FUTURE app purchases via BBWorld. When you set this up, you provide your PayPal credentials and authorize that, in future when you do actually purchase apps from BBWorld, you won't have to log into PayPal and authorize each individual purchase. No charges are made against your PayPal account until, in the future, you purchase some app via BBWorld.
Inside of PayPal, you can revoke this pre-approval...and likely will wind up in exactly the situation you just recovered from.

I am not too sure to understand your issue. For eg. when you ask an employee to replace another employee during a vacation or leave of absences (couples of months). In this case you have to override the position. Hope it helps,

What, no position slider?!!!!

Please someone tell me that Logic Studio has not abandoned the postion slider. This was one of the most useful features I've ever encountered in a computer program. I used it ALL THE TIME to instantly (almost) pull the song back to some general area while the song was running. It only took one click. Without it I have to grab a slider, move it to the area, then go up and click in order for playback to begin there. Three steps instead of one. I thought updates were supposed to IMPROVE the program.
Please join me in ******* and moaning. Im sure it would be a simple matter to add it back if enough people bitched.

I assume you all know you can click the bar ruler (where the subdivisions are) to do this... I realise it's not the same as previous versions but it's functionality is pretty much the same.
Also you can set up keycommands to navigate the page - play from selected object etc. You can select different objects (if they're on the same track) using the left and right cursor keys - changing track with up and down.
Also, for what it's worth - markers are really easy to set up and manage (one play through at best) and with the use of KCs you can skip around your project no problem.
If you don't like the way this is implemented, try this:
At the top of your arrange, create an empty audio track - call it ARRANGE or similar.
With the pencil draw in an empty object that's as long as your piece.
Then with the scissors tool and the cursor tool, chop up and mark the track as appropriate - you can even colour the objects if it makes navigation easier.
You can then move around the track with the cursors and use the 'play from' KC, also you can 'set locators' to specific parts of the arrange if you need to focus on certain sections, copy or remove verses etc.
Of course none of this is handy if you only have one screen and are not in the arrange so I'd suggest using the 'go to' KC (mine is set up as 'G' - I'm not sure if this is the default or not). Then you can skip around the piece as fast as your brain+fingers communicate.
