What is process ton install already paid Apps on new Ipad2?

Hi,
I bought some applications on my first Ipad2. After I changed it to a nw one (the first one had the famous backlight leaking problem), I had a problem with an app. The creator of the Apps said that I should delete my app and install it again. Then after that I should just buy the books again and they will not charge for it.
Is this correct? Because when I click on buying the book, it stills asks for my creditcardnumber.
Can I just go on and enter the cardnumber. And then they will not charge me for it again? Or how does this work? I suppose that everything bought is related to my Appleid or is not?
Thx,
David

It's only just appeared (I think since Monday's announcements). Apps that are still installed should be on the 'All' button at the top, the 'Not On This iPad' should just be the ones that you've deleted. And I'm assuming that the buttons only show apps related to the currently logged in Apple Id.
The App Store in iTunes (version 10.3 which I've managed to get on my Mac, but my PC shows 10.2 as the current version) also now has a Purchased link on the right-hand side of the store front in the 'Quick Links' section. There doesn't yet appear to be a 'delete from history' option (and there have been threads from people wanting to know how to remove entries), and I don't know whether one will appear - I wonder if it's maybe more likely that something like a 'hide' button and an associated 'hidden' tab will appear for those apps that you don't want to clutter up the 'Not In My Library' in iTunes or 'Not on My iPad' on the iPad
Thx for this great info.
I also hope they will add a "delete" or "hidden" button very soon. And if it is so new, they will tune it up very soon I hope. Cause it is very strange that I can see al the tested/installed apps, but not the one I bought.
I just saw that my Itunes is version 10.2 (PC) and it is as you say the latest version, and to see the purchased stuff it need the 10.3
Well I am sure they will update it soon for the PC people.
As I mostly use the AppShopper and not connect the Ipad to my PC (only every two or three weeks), I don´t see this stuff. But thx to people like you I get great information :-)
This afternoon I will try and buy the app and see if they charge me or not :-)
Thx again King_Penguin for your help and great explanations (as usual!).

David

After restoring iPad, installing already purchased apps requires re-purchase them. How to avoid re-payment?

DDoes this happen for all apps or just some of them? Some apps always download the lite or free version. Then when you run the app there is a setting to allow you to restore your previous purchase without paying.

  • How many devices can I install my paid apps on??

Ok we have brought several apps in my family. But we have about 7 different iOS devices out of iPods/iPhones/ipads. But am I able to install all of the paid apps on all our devices and is there a Limt on how many times I can re download them, and is there a Limt for the amount of devices I can put them on.
I know there is something in place with computers where you can only have your account activated on up to 5 computers. But is there such thing for is iPod iPhone and iPad??
Didn't really know what category to put it under so I just put it under iPad

"is there a Limt on how many times I can re download them"
    No
"is there a Limt for the amount of devices I can put them on."
    No

  • How can I re-install Craigslist paid app on iPad 2

Started by trying the free version of Craigslist from App Stoet. Liked it enough to pony up the $0.99 for the real thing (paid version) from the App Store but didn't delete free version first. Once I saw that I had both the free AND paid versions installed, I inadvertently deleted the paid version. Now I can't re-install the paid version. When I go to my purchased apps in the app store, even though it's nowhere to be found on any screen, the app says that it's already installed and the 'install/installed' button is grayed out.
I should also point out that I CAN re-install the FREE version of the app, but not the $.99 version, even after deleting the free version and then rebooting my iPad.
I contacted Laiflike Apps, but they said "...All this provisioning stuff is unfortunately handled by Apple so there's nothing we can do on our end...".
    Any recommendations?

iPhoto for IOS question - I will request that it be moved
You should simply go to the app store using the same Apple ID as you purchased it under and download again - of show apps not on this iPad and install

  • If I install a paid app on my iPhone, can I later uninstall it and move it to another iPhone?

If I install a $25 paid app on my iPhone just as a trial, can I later uninstall it and move it to another iPhone?

the phone I would move the software to is not one that is owned by me or manged by my iTunes account.
Not possible.  All apps are forever tied to the Apple/iTunes ID they are purchased under.
Exception: As wjosten pointed out, you can share apps between devices with different Apple ID's if used in the same household... Home Sharing.

  • HT3523 I downloaded the 29.99 version of quick time and when i try to open up the  movie file it pulls up a black screen w the sound of the movie only. what is happening? I already paid for the download do i need to buy something else?

I am having issues opening up files. So i installed the quicktime download for $29.99. I go into the file and open it, but all I get is a black screen with sound only. Do I have to download something else so I can open it with a picture? thanks-r

Note that a QuickTime Pro key does not add any additional formats to those included in the free versions of QuickTime Player already available on your system. All a Pro key gives you is editing and export capabilities.

  • Missing 'free already loaded' apps on new 5s

I just got a new 5s- love it. However, my son reminded me that I should have access to Pages, Numbers, iPhoto, etc.  The Apple site says these apps are already installed- nope. So off I go to the App store and looky here, everyone of the free apps sayd it costs real money.....anybody know what's really going on?

place your finger in the middle of the screen and swipe down to reveal the  spotlight search window.  Type in the name of the app you are looking for and see it can be located.
This is what it says about free Numbers on the Apple site:
Numbers is free on the App Store for qualifying iOS 7 compatible devices activated on or after September 1, 2013. See www.apple.com/ios/features/ for iOS 7 compatible devices. Downloading apps requires an Apple ID.
Some features may require Internet access; additional fees and terms may apply.
iWork does not include support for some Chinese, Japanese, or Korean (CJK) text input features such as vertical text.
Numbers for iCloud beta is currently available in English only.
    Does your phone qualify?

  • Transferring already purchased apps to new account

I'm selling my ipad, can I transfer my apps to my husbands ipad? We are on a different account. Is there a way I can transfer my iwork products to his ipad?
    Thanks!
    Courtney

You can copy them over to the computer that he syncs his iPad to (File > Transfer Purchases), but they will remain tied to your account - content can't currently be transferred to a different account

  • Idea Tab A8-50 (A5500)- PAID apps won't install

    Good Afternoon,
I purchased an A5500 (A8-50) tablet in May in Austria/Europe. I noticed an issue concerning the use of PAID apps purchased from Google Play Store. I do not experience these problems with any other devices or Android-versions. I received a replacement but still the same issues. I called Lenovo Support, but it could not help at all.
    4.2.2:
Out of the box the A5-80 runs Android 4.2.2. You may install and use free Apps from Google Play Store with no problems. Paid apps are downloaded and installed. You may run the app afterwards, however, once you turn off the device (shut down) your paid apps get lost. After boot-up free apps work as usual. PAID apps won’t start at all. Android displays “Anwendung ist nicht installiert” (“Application not installed”). There is no problem in re-downloading and re-installing the paid apps from Google Play again. One may also use these apps – until reboot. This has to be a bug, not a feature – I am not keen on having to install every paid app again after any reboot. Not shutting down the tablet is not option for me.
    4.4.2:
OTA Upgrades form Lenovo do solve the problem either. The first to upgrades (after receiving the device) are 4.2.2-updates. The third one upgrades to Android 4.4.2. After such update PAID apps won’t install at all. There is no issue with free apps. The latest update (July 9, 2014; “still” 4.4.2) does not bring any change. PAID apps are downloaded from Google Play Store but not installed. Rather Android displays an error message "Installation auf dem USB-Speicher bzw. der SD-Karte fehlgeschlagen" (Couldn't install on USB storage or SD card). In my opinion this can only refer to internal memory as no external SD-Card is installed and free apss are installed as usual.
Does anyone else experience these problems?
Is there a resolution to this?
    Best regards,
    Matthias

    Hi,
It is not a swype bug (Swype is also one of the paid apps I use). It relates to any paid app. Free apps (as you experienced with the Swype free) have no problems.

  • How to install the Netflix app in ipad2 , i have always the message "your request could not be completed"

How to install the Netflix app in my ipad2 ? I have always the info " your request could not be completed " , i have already registred at the Netflix site , and when i try to use it , is is mandatory to have the app Netflix in the iPad .

Totally miss spelled some stuff.   Download silverlight from Netflix site.  Wow, that was weird.
Maybe it's an iPad app as well.

  • HT5188 Paid app loaded into AC with VPP not loading to iPad

I am getting a message that installation of apps with redemtion codes requires a supervised device.  I thought that we could load paid apps as an unsupervised device?
Currently it will not allow me to select a paid app to do an install.  I have never never supervised any of our iPads, so this will be something completly new for us.

Just found the anwser after digging some more.  I copied somone elses answere here for others to see.  Sorry for not researching more deeply.  It was under a Supervison topic.
Oh thank God - it was simple.
For the paid app, it was grayed out because supervision was set to off. But of course, it kept its last state. So the solution is to turn supervision on in Settings, then switch to Apps and you'll be able to uncheck it. Then go back to Settings and turn supervision back off.
After doing that, I was able to prepare the iPad without Configurator attempting to install the paid app. So silly...

  • Apple Configurator - Uncheck paid app in Prepare mode

I'm using Configurator to deploy some iPads with a single paid app. I've imported the VPP codes and created a supervised backup to restore from and everything is just fine with that.
However, now I want to take another set of iPads that will NOT be supervised. But in Prepare mode I look at the available apps, and my paid app (with 1 code remaining) is checked to install, and it's grayed out, so I can't UNcheck it. The free apps I have added are not grayed out so I can check and uncheck them. Essentially, Configurator is forcing me to install this paid app when I prepare an iPad. The worst part is that it fails to install the app before it restores the backup, so I'm stuck with an out-of-the-box iPad.
How can I tell Configurator I DO NOT want to install the paid app?!?
I'm hoping there is something simple I'm missing here.

    Thank you for the mail,
The redemption code has been redeemed under Email ID provided here in Forums , it is activated but not yet installed on any computer.
Please download CC from http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/install-apps.html & activate it.

  • Will Apple configurator work when Ipads already have paid apps on them via VPP redemption code

HI - we have 60 ipads under our care, and until very recently we bought apps using the VPP redemption code method, and loaded them on manually - there was something in the Ts&Cs which allowed you to load a code onto one ipad, then as long as you had enough codes, you could auto install apps on multiple ipads using the same apple id.  We have a master backup on the icloud.
We have now got a Mac and I was looking into using Apple Configurator, but I'm not sure how that will work with existing paid apps already on the ipads.  Can anyone give me some pointers?

Wait unti the app is done downloading in your iTunes. Then go back to your VPP account and down load the spreadsheet again and upload into configurator. The process is a pain, but the only way it works for you to get all of your codes into configurator.

  • Paid Apps did not install when I synced with Apple Configurator but can be seen under "Not on this iPad"?

On the ipad I did as a test, under Apps>"Not on this Ipad" I can see the paid apps and install them from there if I tap the cloud icon. Is this the correct method? Why would it install this way but not from A.C.?
In Configurator the paid apps have a triangle with an exlamation point in it next to them, indicating I need a redemption code. They were abviously paid for by whoever orginally downloaded them but why when I try to put them back on the ipads does this happen?
(NOTE:The previous tech did a factory reset on every ipad before I came (thank you previous tech ) I am new to the whole apple configurator/sync cart deal.)

Thanks for responding but I had already done all before posting my question andI was all up to date and it still said what it said. I have a feeling it is a disk problem, sometjing in my hard drive and I may need a new computer as this one is almost 5 years old and I have had other issues similar to this where a missing disk need to be located and I have had to refragment the computer twice in the past year. I am open to any other suggestions
