What is Project Validation?

Question

I composed a movie on iMovie6 (because I find it much easier to use), transferred it to iDVD8, selected a theme,and filled all the drop zones with photos. It seems to play perfectly on the iDVD preview, however when I attempt to burn the project onto a DVD-R disk there is a message saying "There were warnings during project validation that should be resolved before attempting to burn the DVD." What does that mean and how can I identify the problems? Could it be that the iMovie6 and iDVD8 are not compatible? I've spent numerous hours on this project, bought a One on One card at the local Apple store and spent an hour with a technician (they have no available hours until next week!), paid a consultant for two hours of help here at home, and I still have problems. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Most appear to deal with too much motion in the menus. A total of 15 minutes is allowed.
Tip: Save the project as a disk image via the File->Save as disk image menu option before burning to disk. This will let you play the mounted disk image with DVD Player to make sure the encoding was OK before committing to disk. If the disk image plays as expected in DVD Player you can burn the it to disk using Disk Utility and burn at the slowest speed available.
