What it is? Do I need to install it as part of an ODI11g install, or are the components it contains optional?

You can only enable SSL by:
1. creating an RFC Destination using TCODE SM59
2. install the certificates using TCODE STRUST, then restart ICM afterwards
3. call your RFC Destination in SM59 using HTTP Destination (instead of URL Address) option in HTTP Receiver Adapter

What to provide for Proof of Purchase? Bought on apple website

As the title stats what can I provide as a proof of purchase?
I took a picture of the box which shows the part number/serial code/barcode etc.
but I got an email from apple saying they either did not recive a proof of purchase for my claim or it was not a valid proof of purchase.
Again I made my purchase on the apple website on June 11th 2012 so they should have the receipt on file but what else can I submit as proof?

If you bought your machine on Apple's website and are in the United States, you don't need to provide any proof of purchase. Just give your serial number.

Hello! Well, sometimes, when I am installing software on my Linux I am greeted with a message such as the following:
warning: provider package was selected (foo provides bar)
Well, my doubt is as simple as the topic states: what are these 'provider packages' and why is a warning issued for them? Is it telling me that I am actually installing another package rather than the one being shown to me? In the example above, package 'foo' would not be installed, as it would instead serve only as a provider of package 'bar', which would be the one actually being installed on my system. Is it anything like that at all? Can't seem to find any info about provider packages on the net...

A "provider package" is just a package which satisfies the dependencies of another package.
Examples:
Java packages require something that can run Java code and thus depend on "java-runtime", which is not an actual package. The package "jre", which is Sun's Java Runtime Environment, provides "java-runtime" and thus satisfies the "java-runtime" dependency. "openjdk6" also provides "java-runtime" and thus satisfies the dependency because it can be used instead of Sun's JRE to run Java code.
The package "gnu-netcat" provides "netcat" to satisfy dependencies on "netcat". This was probably to avoid breaking dependencies due to a package name change (netcat -> gnu-netcat) but it might also be to enable other implementations of netcat (e.g. foo-netcat).
The general purpose is to allow different (competing) packages to satisfy the same dependencies or to avoid dependency breakage when a package name is changed.
In your case, "foo" satisfies the dependencies that another package expected to find in "bar", which may or may not exist as a package. Which package is actually chosen depends on repo order. In the case of "java-runtime", openjdk6 is in [extra] and jre is in [community], which usually means that openjdk6 is installed.

What can provide my ideal interface?

I have been digging through the screenshots section and looking up various tools to find exactly what I want with no luck.
I think as far as the window manager is concerned, Openbox does the trick for me. But I wanted to be able to completely customize the UI of my desktop. For example, something like Ubuntu Netbook Edition or even Jolicloud.
Really all I want is a panel/tray similar to AWN, but as far as I can tell AWN doesn't provide the exact customization I want. Aside from a menu with a list of applications to run, and a panel of currently running applications, I wanted a few items in the tray with customizable icons. Clicking on said icons will bring up a pop-up window with more information. The kind of information here is basically what most people seem to use Conky for; but I rarely see my desktop and don't want to see that information at all times anyways. Also for the items in the panel, I wanted a similar (but smaller, of course) pop-up bubble to appear with the titlebar name of the application after mousing over the icon for a second or two, as I wish to only have icons in my panel.
TL;DR: I am looking for something as close as possible to the equivalent of bringing the customization abilities of HTML/CSS/JavaScript to the desktop.
Are there existing tools that provide this much customization for mouse events (hover / click), and a simple drawing API? I've looked into Clutter but that feels like overkill.

I have a new Mac and I am using time maching to back up but I would like to back up all of my picutres to someplace else jsut in case, there is a house fire or some other kind of disaster and my external hard drive is destroyed. I have been developing an application for a few months now, but all EJBs have
only had local interfaces. My team now needs to expose a few remote interfaces
to another division of my company that's using WLS on another server. I understand
the changes that I need to make on the server side. I have searched the documentation
several times for help, but I can't seem to find a "Start here" page on how to
create the client Jar.
My understanding is this so far. For the server that will contain and run the
beans, I still bundle up the MyServiceBean, MyServiceRemote, and MyServiceHome
class files into a jar and run ejbc to perform the EJB compiling. My Manifest's
Class-Path element references some helper Jars like exceptions and value objects.
Once that's done, I then create a separate jar for the client. I must modify
my ejb-jar.xml file to add an ejb-client-jar element with MyServiceClient.jar
(or whatever the final file name will be) as its value. The client jar should
otherwise contain the same classes as the server jar, but without the bean class.
And then I also just provide the helper jars as well.
I'm sure I don't have this right yet, and I'd really appreciate some insight.
But then I have a more fundamental question: how does the client know which server
contains my EJBs? I haven't found this info in any deployment descriptor. The
only guess I have so far is that when the client creates an InitialContext to
fetch the home interface, they have to specify a ProviderUrl with my server's
IP address when they create an Environment.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

You don't really need to put an entry for ejb-client-jar element in the
ejb-jar.xml. You can still create your client and run it. Only thing is that
you need to put ur client jar in the classpath of your java client.

this also you can run ur client. Where does this help?

Sounds like you've got it, actually. The client just needs to have the
remote interface
classes
for the bean + helper classes in its classpath. Any generated RMIclasses
will be loaded
over the network, if needed.

Downgrading iOS is not supported by Apple. You may find workarounds on other web sites if you do a web search for such information, e.g. "downgrade iOS". You can links to Apple's direct downloads for iOS 4.1 here, among other places:

What is the Best UK Hotspot Provider for using with the ipod Touch ?

Just ordered my new ipod touch and can't wait to start using it. I just wondered whether anybody here in the UK had done any research regarding what Hotspot Provider to sign up with? I know there is the BT Openzone option or possibly a new company called 'The Cloud' that looks OK ... then there is the 'pay as you go' option or monthly contract choice to make? I know my ultimate choice might depend on what usuage I want or where I am most likely to want wifi? But any comments, observations or user experiences would be welcome.

The Cloud have an account specifically for iPod Touch users. I haven't set anything up on mine as I use my mobile for surfing when out and about - but I do check to see if there's free wi fi available before I use the mobile.

Query View name not saved in "Analysis Grid Properties" under Data Provider

We are on BI 7.0
I have created a BI workbook which contains a query view.
However when we go into design mode and then "analysis grid properties" for this query view then "change data provider" it does not show the query view name but the query name. (we have saved the workbook)
Is this the normal scenario?
Surely should show the "query view name " and not the "query name" as confuses what data provider is being used?
Is this a bug?

You have created a workbook on top of a Query View which is again depends on a Query.Now the base for Query View is a Query.So the underlying Data Provider for a workbook is a Query.
Hence when you go to Properties of grid->Change Data Provider,it shows the Query and the InfoCube,but not the Query View.
So this is not a bug and this how its been designed.
If you click for the Information of that workbook,it will show the Query and Info Provider,but not the query View.
Though it looks like wierd,it is not a bug.
