Technically the exams you mention are correct ... You also need to attend and have verified a hands-on course from an authorised institution:
See: [http://www.oracle.com/education/certification] and [http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=151]
Also:
(a): i am not sure where 'Day N' comes from ...
(b): Although passing requirements make you an OCP, further knowledge, study and experience would also be necssary for that to be applied in the real world.

  • OCP 10g exam prep class requirment 3000$

After OCA 10g, To appear int OCP 10g exam, requirment is that one should attend the preparation class which cost 3000$, What if one can't afford this, Is there any way to skip this class or attend some other prereq.....

(I would like somebody to correct me if I am wrong in my understanding)
While it is an absolute must that you should attend a hands-on session from Oracle University as a 10g OCP requirement, It is NOT AN absolute must that you shell out $3000 USD. You can pick your course. See below for more details.
    http://www.oracle.com/global/us/education/certification/dba10g_ocpcoursereq_approvedlist.html
Here, you will find that, If you are looking for a cost-effective option, and don't care which course you go to, but also satisfy the OCP 10g course requirement, go with
"Oracle Database 10g: SQL Tuning Workshop" which is only $1800 USD ! (Well, only is not a good word to use here....however fits best in this context !!)

    Hello
I passed the 10g OCP exam... (1z0-042 and 1z0-043) However the certificate was not recognized.
    My 11g OCP is ok...
Are you sure I do not need to submit the 11g Administration Workshop 2 for 10g OCP cert. Path??
Should I review any step? Can I submit the same course twice for different 11g and 10g certification path??

  • Requirement to upgrade OBIEE 10g on Windows to OBIEE 11g on Linux

    Dear All,
I have a requirement to upgrade OBIEE 10g from current windows 2003 environment to OBIEE 11g Linux environment.
I went through forums and many threads on upgrade, everywhere they talk about Upgrade Assistant (UA). And oracle documentation says ,
+"Do not change from one platform or architecture to a different platform or architecture as part of the upgrade process.+
+For example, if the existing 10g system is running on a Windows 32-bit platform, do not install Oracle BI 11g on a Linux 64-bit platform and then run the Linux 64-bit Upgrade Assistant to upgrade the existing 10g system."+
But there would certainly be scenarios with other users the way I have. Then what is the way out to do this upgrade?
Can anyone give some advice on this. It is little urgent.
    Thanking in advance.
    Regards,
    Deepika.

Thats are huge change in platform. win32 to linux 64.
Yet what we upgrade is only
    catalog and rpd.
this might involve some manual change if UA cannot complete successfully.
Its better to do a prototype before the actual upgrade as recommended by Oracle. This will show what can the possible issues and road blocks.

  • Hands on practice for OCP 10g

Hi all… I don’t know whether I am posting this message to a wrong forum.
Though I am not a regular writer here but I used to get knowledge through this forum. Next week I am going to do OCP 10g administration paper II but I have some doubts. I know that only after finishing this exam I will not get certificate until and unless I do the hands on practice course. Do I have to do this course after clearing exam or before? Now I am working in UAE here all educational courses are not affordable so can I do this in India I mean is it possible to write the exam in one country and do the hands on practice in different country? Is there any time limit which I have to finish these hands on practice after clearing this exam? Hope I will get the needful…Thanking you all…
    Regards…
    Nishant

You will not get the OCP certification until after you have completed the course requirements. There is form you need to fill out in order to show you have met the requirements.
    http://www.oracle.com/global/us/education/certification/handsoncourse_form.html
As far as a time limit, you generally have until the exam is retired in order to meet the requirements. Oracle announces the retirement dates for exams well in advance.
I do not believe Oracle is concerned about where you take the course requirement, they are concerned more with the class an who presents the material.

  • Regarding  OCP-10g Exams Certification

    Dear Team,
I am planning for OCP-10g Exams (042/043). I have done OCA 9i (DBA Track) last year.
With my current Project recommendation, I am going to attend "Oracle Grid Infrastructure 11g: Manage Clusterware and ASM Release 2" training by Oracle University on 11-Apr-2011.
As per compulsory Training Program for OCP-10g, do I need to take any other Training related to Oracle 10g or the above training (11g) will be suffice for OCP-10g Certification (If I complete Exams 042/043)
Kindly update me, so that I can plan accordingly.
    Thanks,
    Tusar

    Thanks Bigdelboy for you reply..
So, what do you suggest regarding the certification which one would be better 10g OCP(1z0-042/043) or directly 11g OCP(1zo-052/053)?
    Thanks,
TusarIncreasingly an 11g DBA OCP certification will be preferable to a 10g DBA OCP certification.
Most sites will be looking to upgrade existing 10g databases to 11g databases over the next couple of years, and relatively few sites will have 10g and not be looking to upgrade.
I would say the following reasons are why someone would want to go for 10g DBA OCP rather than 11g DBA OCP.
    (1) They have attended training which is a suitable qualifying course for 10g DBA OCP but not for 11g DBA OCP. This can be a very important (big money) reason.
    (2) They are very familiar with 1z0-043 topics that are relevant to 10 DBA OCP but less familiar with 1z0-053 topics.
    (3) They wish to get both certifications via 1z0-042 - 1z0-043 - 1z0-050 for instance (you could also do 1z0-052+1z0-053 instead of 1z0-050). Obvioulsy this takes time and expense.
In general I suspect study for 1z0-052 might take a number of people a little longer than 1z0-042, and the study for 1z0-053 might take maybe a couple of weeks longer than for 1z0-043.
    Overall the choice is yours.

I'm not sure but I give it a try.Turn your security(WPA/WEP) and Firewall temporarely off. HOST is the IP address of the printer. QUEUE can be YES or a specific amount of prints, like 1,2,3......
If I look at the manual of your printer I see that you can find the IP and MAC addresses in the Network Configuration Report.I don't know what the USER is doing there because if there is a user then there must be a password.

Please not that the iPhone uses mono channel for internal speakers, the other path that you see is not the speaker per say. It is the phone microphone. Try using headphones, you will hear both channels. If the problem still persists when using headphones, check your sound balancing in the settings. Go to setting-general-accessibility scroll down and check the slide under mono audio. It should be put at the centre for you to hear both channels ON YOUR HEADPHONES

If you use FTP then ftp is the protocol and 21 is the port.

  • In Material Master Screen, functionally what is Requirement Group in the MRP

In Material Master Screen, functionally what is Requirement Group in the MRP Screen.Pls explain its functionality

    Hi,
The safety time / actual range of coverage ensures that the planned warehouse stock covers the requirements of a defined number of days. It therefore serves as a time float and thus works alongside the safety stock, which acts as quantity float.
The system simulates bringing the requirements forward by the specified number of days and the planning for the receipts, created for these requirements in the planning run, is also brought forward by this number of days.
    Prerequisites
    ·   You have set the Safety Time indicator in the material master record (MRP 2 View) to define whether the safety time is only to apply to independent requirements or to all requirements.
    ·    In the material master record (MRP 2 View), in the Safety Time/Actual Range of Coverage field, you have entered the number of workdays by which the requirements are to be brought forward.
    ·    If, in addition to this actual range of coverage, you also want to define a different number of workdays in certain periods or a safety time less than one day then, in Customizing for MRP in the activity Define Period Profile for Safety Time/Actual Range of Coverage you can define a period profile and assign it to the material in the material master record.

  • What system requirement do i need to get os x lion?

what system requirement do i need to get os x lion? i got mac os x 10.4.11 right now

Well the primary reason is because it's what Apple recommends. When users vary from the manufacturers solutions is when they have problems. Apple makes it very clear what the system requirments are when they publish:
    General requirements
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
    2GB of memory
    OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
    7GB of available space
Some features require an Apple ID; terms apply.

Fahd is right. The art of practicing can only make one pass in exams like this. Problems are now becoming scenarios based, so unless you are familiar with the scenarios, its difficult to pass these exams. Read the book and practice. You are done.

This is somewhat internal view, which means you don't need to know in detail.
    Anyway, see following:
    SQL> SELECT view_definition FROM v$fixed_view_definition
    where view_name = 'GV$RESOURCE';
    ==>
    select inst_id,addr,ksqrsidt,ksqrsid1,ksqrsid2 from x$ksqrs where bitand(ksqrsflg,2)!=0
The base x$ table is x$ksqrs, which means "enqueue resource".
To understand this, you need to be familiar with some terminologies.
    - enqueue lock: special type of lock. sometimes called just "enqueue".
    - enqueue resources: resources which are protected by enqueue lock.
Enqueue resource is identifed by following info:
    resource type(2) + resource identifer1 + resource identifier2
For instance, a table whose id is 1000 is represented as [TM+1000+0]. A sequence whose id is 888 is represented as [SQ+888+0].
Every resource which is protected by enqueue lock is exposed via V$RESOURCE view. And equeue lock is exposed exposed via V$LOCK view. The relationship between V$RESOURCE and V$LOCK is 1:m. For instance, let's assume that table 1000 is locked by session 1 in exclusive mode, and session 2 is waiting to lock the same table in exclusive mode. In this case, one record(TM+1000+0) is registered in V$RESOURCE view, and two records(one blocker+one blockee) are registered in V$LOCK view.
You need to google "Oracle enqueue resource" or something.
    Hope this helps.
PS) 99% of locks in Oracle are "enqueue lock", which are exposed via V$RESOURCE and V$LOCK view. But some locks are not exposed by these views. For instance, library cache lock is exposed via X$KGLLK, library cache pin is exposed via X$KGLPN.
