What is required to integrate Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 (On premise) to SharePoint O365?

The client has his AD and Exchange 2010 on premise and would like to integrate with Office 365 SharePoint.
I know it is possible to integrate SharePoint On premise to Exchange Online but how possible and what is required to create it in the opposite way while using AD and Exchange On Premise to SharePoint Office 365?

This is not possible. The only integration point for SharePoint Online is Exchange Online.

There's a pre-release build of the exchange collector available for
2010, just contact NTS.
If you need a full formal release, we're looking to have 2010 and 2013
support by approximately mid-year.

I have been with 2 clients that have used Exchange Server 2003 for processing Workflow Notifications for multiple 11.5.10.2 with ATG.H RUP 4 instances. I have found that Exchange will frequently take 4 hours to send notifications and 2-4 hours to process notifications that are replied back to it. Outbound messages generally fail with 451 Timeout waiting for client input errors, but finally send after about 4 hours. If you doing a live demo that needs to make use of Workflow Notifications, plan on waiting and waiting and waiting...

Installing the connector for microsoft exchange server 2010

We have installed AD connector 9.1.1.7.0 with OIM 11.1.1.5.0.
Now Team is upgrading to Microsoft 2010 exchange server. As of now there is no direct provisioning for microsoft exchange server.
Now we are trying to install connector for microsoft exchange and do the provisioning.
So, what is the connector version should i use Microsoft 2010 exchange.
can i install 11.1.1.5.0.Any help would be appreciated.
Also please provide the minimum details which are required to connect to target exchange server or please suggest us some doc.

check out is there any watermark key in the registry - A watermark in the registry identifies where Setup failed. You will not have to answer the Exchange 2010 Setup wizard questions again when you resume a failed Setup. You can resume the failed install,
and let it succeed.

Microsoft Exchange Server 2010

I am testing the following scenario
I want to delete a specific email message from a user mailbox and from exchange Journal. I have done the following steps but not sure if I deleted the message completely
1. logged into the OWAl/ecp and used the discovery mailbox search
2. the search results are copied to the discovery mailbox, I found the message and deleted the message from the results and from the deleted the items of discovery mailbox.
3. I did the search again on the same user and found the same message again which I previously deleted, so this time I ran the following command in exchange shell which deleted the message
Search-Mailbox
-Identity
"<user>"
-SearchQuery
'Subject:"<subject_title>"'
-DeleteContent
4. used the discovery mailbox search again just to confirm and found the message again on the search results
5 ran the above shell command again and this the deleted message showed 0KB which means that it was already deleted.
My question is that by running the above shell command does it delete from user mailbox and from Journal as well? am I following the right steps to deleted a specific message? what is the recommended way of deleting when exchange is setup to Journal
all messages in cached exchange mode.

Hi Nawab,
You can use the Search-Mailbox cmdlet to search and delete messages from
a mailbox.
Hence you need to know the exact mailboxes containing the emails you want to delete.
If the mailbox from which you want to delete messages has single item recovery enabled or Litigation Hold enabled, then the deletion will not be permanent or might not work at all until you remove them.
Use Mailbox Search to Delete Messages
*You used Multi-Mailbox search or Discovery Search (Requires you special permission RBAC, even to full admins) to find the emails then decide upon deleting it.
This should already list email in journal mailboxes within exchange as well. Just take note of all the mailboxes having the email, disable single item recovery or hold on those mailboxes and delete it.
Create a Discovery Search
Using Multi-Mailbox Search, you can search a large volume of e-mail messages stored in mailboxes across one or more Exchange 2010 servers, and possibly in different locations.
NOTE:-You can’t search content of a disconnected mailbox.
If the mailbox has an enterprise CAL, you can use the Multi-Mailbox Search feature in the Exchange Control Panel (ECP) or the
New-MailboxSearch cmdlet in the Shell. These features also allow you to search multiple mailboxes simultaneously.
You can also use the Search-Mailbox cmdlet in the Shell to search for and recover missing items. If the mailbox has a standard CAL, this is the only method you can use. If you use this cmdlet, you can search only one mailbox at a time.

Problems concerning "How to integrate MS Exchange Server into SAP EP"

I want to realize the scenario in "How to integrate Microsoft Exchange Server into SAP Enterprise Portal" from the Microsoft-Website.
We´re using SAP NetWeaver 04, SAP NetWeaver Portal 6.0.14.0.0 and KMC 6.0.14.2.0 and Microsoft Exchange Server 2000 SP3.
I have created (as described in the document) the HTTP-System and a WebDAV RM. But the repository doesn´t appeaer in the KM-Content-iView.
I checked the Component Monitor and got this error-message for "servers" (it was marked with a red square)

I had a look on "System Administration - System Configuration - Knowledge Management - Content Management - Repository Managers - Security Manager - WebDAV ACL Security Manager".
There was just "WDAclSecurityManager" and the Permission Rendering Class was "com.sapportals.wcm.control.acl.ResourcePermissionControl".
Or where do I have to look for the ACL?

SBS 2003 to 2011 Migration - Exchange Server 2010 cannot be installed

We have a Small Business Server 2003 server that we are trying to migrate to SBS 2011 using the out of the box migration process. After the install, the SBS console showed a couple installation issues - the big one turned out to be "Exchange Server

I should add that the source server's AD configuration might not be perfect due to this being the second attempt at a SBS 2011 migration install.

Thank you Larry and Al for your replies.
I used the 'official' migration
guide plus this page (http://www.techieshelp.com/step-by-step-guide-to-migrating-to-sbs-2011/)
as my migration references. The SBS migration prep tool gave no errors on the source server when I ran it.
I have a full system drive image plus a a system state backup from before migration. Though I am very loathed to rollback the migration and attempt a new one - again. I will do some searching to see if I can resolve the Exchange server problem and continue
the migration/installation. If not, then its a system state restore for me. One of Al's links had a resource for doing a thorough check of AD - which something I'd run if I have to another migration attempt.
I am also really tempted to open up a paid MS support ticket for them to help me fix this problem. :)

Anyone know of a thread that shows a good way to setup exchange 2010 to work well internally and externally?

I recommend you install Exchange 2010 SP3 directly.
What's more, before you install Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 in your organization, you should prepare Active Directory and domains at first.

Exchange Server 2010 after Office365 Cutover Migration

We transitioned to Office 365 4 months ago. Per this reference, we have left an Exchange Server 2010 on premise per this guidance.

I want to move Exchange 2010 to an older less capable server to repurpose the current server. I have installed it with client access and mailbox server roles.
When I try to uninstall the old Exchange 2010 installation, I can't do it citing the existence of mailboxes. When I attempt to remove an mailbox, the entire user is deleted from our Active Directory? Premise mailboxes are now irrelevant consider
they exist on Office365.
How do I decommission this old Exchange 2010 server without deleting all our users?

Hi,
The proper way to remove a hybrid deployment is to disable it manually. The following actions should be performed to remove the objects created and configured by the Hybrid Configuration
Wizard:
1. Re-point your organization’s MX record to the Office 365 service if it is pointing to the on-premises organization. If you are removing Exchange and don’t point the MX record
to Office 365, inbound Internet mail flow won’t function.
2. Using the Shell in the on-premises organization, run the following commands:
Remove-OrganizationRelationship –Identity “On Premises to Exchange Online Organization Relationship”
Remove-FederationTrust –Identity “Microsoft Federation Gateway”
Remove-SendConnector
“Outbound to Office 365″
3. Using EMC, you can also remove the <your organization domain>.mail.onmicrosoft.com domain that was added as part of the email address policy for your organization.
4. OPTIONAL – Remove the remote domains created by the Hybrid Configuration wizard in the Exchange Online organization. From the EMC, select the Hub Transport in the Exchange Online
forest node and remove all remote domains starting with “Hybrid Domain”
5. Remove the organization relationship from the Exchange Online organization with the following command. You must use Remote PowerShell to connect to Exchange Online connected to
Exchange Online.
Remove-OrganizationRelationship –Identity “Exchange Online to On Premises Organization Relationship”
6. OPTIONAL – Disable the Inbound and Outbound Forefront Online Protection for Exchange (FOPE) connectors created by the Hybrid Configuration Wizard.

Documentation for getting Webcenter PS4 to work with Exchange Server 2010.

I have a customer who has Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 and wants to have their e-mail in WebCenter Spaces app we have built, using 11.1.1.4 or 11.1.1.5. Do either of these support Xchange Server 2010? Probably not, right? Well has anybody done it and been able to get it to work? Is there any documentation out there that tells how to do it?

Is there any documentation on this for 11.1.1.6? (PS5)? The documentation you gave me is 11.1.1.5 and it shows Exchange Server 2007. My customer has Exchange Server 2010. Do you know if 11.1.1.5 and/or 11.1.1.6 supports Exchange Server 2010?
