What is "Restricted Use Stock"?

Hi gurus,
Request to guide on the following terminology "Restricted use stock".
In customizing of MRP->Net requirement calculation, is advisable to consider this stick in planning?
Regards
Nitin

This indicator determines whether restricted-use batch stock is included
in MRP and in the availability check.
In net calculation if the status of batch is restricted then whether you want the system to consider this stock for net calculation as available stock
This depends on the batch status setting...in SPRO
in transaction OMCS, if the batch status management is active, then when we do GR the we can change the status from unrestricted to restricted to hold the batch for some purpose. In such cases if you tick  i.e. Restricted use stock then  accordingly net calculation result will change
exact help document is as below
Enhancement to Batch Management, which enables you to
make a statement about the usability of the batch. A
batch is either available for use or unavailable and
this is indicated in the R/3 System as:
o   Restricted
o   Unrestricted

  • MIGO: goods reception of batches into "Batch in Restricted-Use Stock"

    Hello,
Is it possible to use MIGO for the reception of goods with this requirement?
    1 - The batch numbers already exist in the destination;
    2 - The batches are received with Restricted-Use Stock;
In standard use, MIGO only enables the "Restricted-Use" checkbox for new batches.
    Any clues?

  • How to exclude restricted-use batch from batch-determination in backflushin

    Hello,
In the Goods-Movement screen during confirmation transaction (i.e. backflushing), we see that SAP has selected some batches that are restricted-use stock.  This must be due to some setting in batch-determination functionality.  We want to know how to exclude restricted-use stocks from being considered in batch-determination.  What setting, in which config transaction, can help us achieve this ?  Kindly help.  Thanks.
    - Chetan

    Thanks Manoj,
That was a very good information and I learnt something new.
However, I checked, and in that config, we are already "not-allowing" restricted-use stock for MvT-261.  So what else can be used to prohibit its selection during backflushing.  Thanks.

  • Use of restricted use

    hi,
can anyone explain what is the use of restricted use stock. In msc2n i am not able to seen that radio button. To activate what i have to do. how posting has to do for restricted use.
    sathish. R

Batch status has to be activated in config.
Logistics-General > Batch management>Specify Batch Level and Activate Status Management.
Batch status when used allows you to restrict the batch via the MSC2n screen and in some other ways, (via QM inspection lots).
Batch status is different from inventory quantites or buckets.  If a batch exists in multiple plants and in multiple stock categories, (i.e. some in blocked, some in unrrestricted), it doesn't care.  If you set the the status as restricted in MSC2n ALL the material will show in restricted inventory. Restrcited stock cannot be sold but can be moved via stock transport orders and can be selected for consumption on rework orders.
So if you get a complaint about a batch, you can immediately restrict the batch, this locks it down at all plants/warehouses/distribution centers.  (Unless your at the plant level batch, which few clients are usually on.).  The batch can then be investigated and if need stock transported back to a plant for rework or disposal.

  • Material batch in restricted use status, still get selected & consumed.

In Process Industry : Batch 'XYZ' has moved to Restricted Use status after the Batch Job run on daily basis for Deadline Monitoring of Batches on 24th Jan 07.
But on the next day i.e. 25th Jan 07 during the confirmation of one of the Process Order's, it got consumed through Goods issue posting via Backflushing. This was evident in Material Document as well.
    My Question is
Is there anywhere in Configuration setting which controls whether the Restricted Use stock can be consume (withdrawal Posting) in Process Order Confirmation……

    Hi pravin
Change the sattus of the message no. M7665 - Batch & has the status <restricted-use> to Error in transaction OMCQ.
An error message will get generated and the back flush will be carried out if you check the termination of incorrect goods movement in transaction OPK4.

  • What is the use of restriction code in the ipod?

i'm just wondering what's the use of restriction code because i have this problem, i wanted to lock the camera whenever someone takes a picture on my ipod they can't delete and upload it to there computer, so how to will i do that or how to do that thing?

Yes, you can setup/turn on restrictions to prevent use of the Camera app.  See:
iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch: Understanding Restrictions
Make sure you do not have any third-party camera apps installed and turn on the restriction that prevent installing apps.

  • What movment types used for stock transfer from Non-WM sloc to WM sloc?

    Hello experts,
Can some one tell me , what movment types used for stock transfer from Non-WM sloc to WM sloc in the same plant through MB1B?
    Thanks

    Hi
When I try to use the Movement Type 311 with Tcode MB1B, in order to move the stock from IM storage Locations to WM storage Locations, I do create the Material Document Successfully, but when I try to convert the Material Document to Transfer Order, I get the message "select atleast one storage type first", but there is no storage type appearing on the screen.
Can you please help me to resolve the above issue.
    Thanks.

  • What is the use of initial value in a database table?

Hi can anyone help me in knowing what is the use of initial value which is present besides primary key while creating a table?

    Initial Value:
Indicator that NOT NULL is forced for this field
    Use
Select this flag if a field to be inserted in the database is to be filled with initial values. The initial value used depends on the data type of the field.
Please note that fields in the database for which the this flag is not set can also be filled with initial values.
When you create a table, all fields of the table can be defined as NOT NULL and filled with an initial value. The same applies when converting the table. Only when new fields are added or inserted, are these filled with initial values. An exception is key fields. These are always filled automatically with initial values.
    Restrictions and notes:
The initial value cannot be set for fields of data types LCHR, LRAW, and RAW. If the field length is greater than 32, the initial flag cannot be set for fields of data type NUMC.
If a new field is inserted in the table and the initial flag is set, the complete table is scanned on activation and an UPDATE is made to the new field. This can be very time-consuming.
If the initial flag is set for an included structure, this means that the attributes from the structure are transferred. That is, exactly those fields which are marked as initial in the definition have this attribute in the table as well.
    hope it helps,
    Saipriya

  • What is the use of Storage loc.ref.in LE-WM Interface to Inventory Managemt

    Hi Guys
What is the use of below fields
Special movement indicator for warehouse management and Storage loc. ref.
In the WM configaration LE-WM Interface to Inventory Management
How we can do the below scenario with this configaration
I have 3 scenarios all scenarios have MIGO and placing stock to WM
2 scenarios requres Immediate TO creation after MIGO 101 mvt type
But last scenario does not want Immediate TO ,it is having another Z transaction to create TO
But problem is for the last scenario also creating Immdiate TO after MIGI 101
How to avoid this Immdiate TO for this scenario
And How to allow it for first 2 scenarios
How we can to with that configaration

    Hello ,
It is not possible directly in customising as all three cases are using the same Mvt Type.
    Alternate Solution :
You may try an by creating a new Mvt Type 901 i.e making a copy of 101.
Thereafter try to link a new Ref Mvt Type to the same .You should use this case for the third scenario.
    This may resolve your problem.

  • Have been advised by my email provider (recently blocked account requiring password reset) that they will only reset the password after a proven anti viru and malware scan has been done on ipad and iphone. Is this necessary and if so what do i use

Have been advised by my email provider (recently blocked account requiring password reset) that they will only reset the password after a proven anti virus and malware scan has been done on ipad and iphone. Is this necessary and if so what do i use

As KP has pointed out, there actually aren't any anti-virus programs in the App Store. There are a few that allow you to scan e-mail or stuff like that, and a few that provide you with information about malware and new threats for other systems. But none are available that can scan your iOS device for malware, because the security restrictions in iOS do not permit any apps to have that kind of access to anything. Which means that you also cannot be infected with a virus (unless you have jailbroken your device).
If your account got compromised, that had nothing whatsoever to do with your iPad. Someone simply hacked it remotely. Happens all the time. It's really amazing that, in this day and age, e-mail providers are so ignorant of technology and how their own systems get compromised that they would try to require you to run software that does not exist!

  • FAQ: What font is used by the London Underground (London Transport)

This summer, while on vacation in the UK, I spent a few hours in the London Transport Museum. Surprisingly enough, in their gift shop, two items for sale attracted my attention. One was a book and the other, a collection of fonts!
Every so often, the question comes up on this forum and others as to exactly what font is used in the London Underground. The book in question,
Johnston's Underground Type by Justin Howes definitively answers that question and provides quite a bit of background on the subject.
To summarize, the basis of the font used today is
Johnston Sans, dating back to 1916. Johnston Sans also had an upper case-only bold face. These two faces were used with various modifications until 1988 when the font was modernized with the release of
New Johnston, a family of nine typefaces based upon Johnston Sans. The family includes light, light italic, medium, medium italic, medium condensed, bold, bold italic, bold condensed, and stencil weights / styles. New Johnston Medium most closely resembles the original Johnston Sans face in terms of weight and style.
Neither the original Johnston Sans nor the current New Johnston are licensed by London Transport for any external use.
However, at the London Transport Museum (and I believe on-line from the P22 Type Foundry), you can purchase a license and media for P22's rendition of Johnston Sans including three faces - P22 Underground, P22 Underground Bold (uppercase only), and P22 Underground Extras (symbols associated with London Transport over the years). Included on the CDROM are both Type 1 and TrueType versions of the typefaces in both Windows and Macintosh formats. The designs were officially licensed from London Transport. The EULA (End User License Agreement) carries some
very strict restrictions with regards to embedding in PDF or any other file type as well as commercial use of any printed output formatted with these typefaces.
A fairly close (and less restrictively-licensed alternative) to the P22 package or for Johnston Sans and New Johnston (neither of which are available for license) is ITC Johnston, available in Type 1 and TrueType versions in both Windows and Macintosh formats. Fifteen individual typefaces are available including old style figures and small caps, italic styles, as well as light, medium, and bold weights. Alas, they are not (yet) available in OpenType format.
In any case, further information and background is available in
Johnston's Underground Type by Justin Howes.

I was. I have to say as much as there is a lot of negativity towards Larry Jordan, I really respect him for not shying away from adversity and talking about the issues quite Frankly. I mean, his talk was laced with quite a lot of rhetoric ("it's not the end of the world", etc etc), but he didn't decline to answer any questions (including my own: "what were they thinking").

Having spent the past three days on this forum, I think that list only covers about half of the gripes people have and the problems people are facing!
These are just the things I remember off the top of my head. Sadly I didn't make any notes, in all honesty because I was expecting the whole thing to be a whitewash. Remind me of anything I've left out and I'll try to cover it.
I'll try to transcribe the recording today as it was the only thing that's come close to an official word on the situation from Apple, though I have to say the recording is not particularly good :/

  • What is the use of block step in BPM? Please help!

    Hi Experts,
I would like to know what is the use of block step in BPM? In what cases we can use it?
Can somebody explain BLOCK by relating to any programming language ( java) control step?
    Please help!
    Thanks
    Gopal

    Hi,
Block step is similar to what we use curly braces in most of the languages which defines the scope. For example if we are using loop step in bpm to loop through some variable then we can use block step to restrict the scope of loop step up to some point.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Sudheer.

  • Sales order stock should post in unrestrcited use stock

    Hi
We have MTO and MTS both scenario. Now, for SFG materials we produce through CIR in MD81. Hence, the planned order -> process orders are generated after MRP run has reference of sales order.
Our all SFG products are Auto Goods receipt through COR6N T-code. But, our scenario is for these CIR requirement all process orders stock goes to sales order stock. We can't use these sales order stocks in MTS or, other MTO FGs.
Hence, we want whenever process order confirmation we execute in COR6N, the stock should not be posted through 101E and later we are doing 411E. Rather we want in COR6N the stock should go to unrestricted use stock.
What are all config settings or, processes are there to satisfy our requirement. Also, what can be negative impact for that.
    Please suggest.
    Thanks,
    Susanta

If the need is to build SFG stock as unrestricted stock, then why are you placing CIR & planning them in sales order segment?
Place PIR via MD61 for this SFG, then demand will be in plant level & the supply proposal which is generated will also be anonymous. Once you post GR for the supply proposal it will be 101.
If you do not sell your SFG, then maintain stg. grp as 70, if you sell at SFG level as well, then work with stg. grp 40. Maintain indiv / coll indicator as 2.
Do a test in your sandbox & if it meets your need adopt in PRD.
