What is "Rich Red"

Does " rich red" refer to any specific color value? A client wants a rich red background for an image and I am not sure what the term means. If it means anything what are the specific values for this color so I can dial them in? I am working on a CMYK document in photoshop. Thanks a lot.

If you want the text to be crisp at final output resolution to the device, then yes. It you are printing to an Epson or other inkjet printer, it will not matter. It all depends upon your final output. If you have multiple output sources, you should rebuild the file(S) in Illustrator. That way, you can take the file anywhere you like and be safe.
Faux Bold of any font is always a bad idea. The only Century Gothic Bold font that I know of is a True Type Font.  I assume that you are on a Mac since you are posting to a Mac Forum.  There may be some difficulties, but not sure since I don't have a full grasp of your project. Attached is the correct font to use for your project.
You can copy and paste or drag and drop the type from Photoshop to Illustrator to create your new graphic element, but I would use it as a guideline to create the text correctly. Faux fonts tend to explode on most RIPS's when sent to the printer. ie. You will not get a bold font when you expected one.

Actually, another person on the "more like this" had the right answer. It meant I had a notification for an invite that I needed to respond to.
Hope this helps you as much as it helped me.

  • What is Rich Text in Mail.app?

When I compose a message in Mail.app, I have the option of sending it in "Plain Text" or "Rich Text".
When I receive a Formatted Text message in Mail.app, it is generally --but not always-- handled correctly. The formatting applied by the sender, in whatever email client, seems to appear consistently in Mail.app.   Not always perfectly.
Probably I can find a standard for RTF as applies to many Text Processor apps...
    • Is that the same "Rich Text" as followed by Mail.app?
    • Is there a public RTF standard that Mail.app is known to follow?
    • Is there a direct method, or a reasonably simple indirect method for making Mail.app's RTF formatting visible?
    • Beside Mail.app's GUI commands, is there a direct method, or a reasonably simple indirect method for editing Mail.app's RTF formatting?
I think most email clients transmit Formatted Text messages using HTML tags.
    • Does mail.app handle these in addition to RTF, convert HTML tags to RTF,  or is, in this context, RTF ~= HTML?
    • Is there a public standard HTML standard --certainly a subset-- that Mail.app is known to follow?
I think all Formatted Text messages are actually transmitted by email servers with two copies, one formatted and one plain-text.  I know I can often see HTML markup when I use View-->Message-->Raw Source on an incoming message selected.  But there doesn't seem to be any way of viewing or editing the markup in the reply message.   Specifically View-->Message-->Raw Source is grey when a reply is selected.
    • Is there a direct method, or a reasonably simple indirect method for editing HTML tags when responding to a formatted message?
A big annoyance:  Often, when I reply to a formatted message, some groups of text, when selected, are surrounded by a rounded-corner grey rectangle, with a circle-X close/delete button at the upper left.  These are also visible when I'm composing a reply.  It's difficult -- sometimes impossible-- to open a new line for a reply inside such boxes. I think this box corresponds to HTML table cells --or possibly other containers-- in the incoming message.
    • Does Mail.app use the rounded-corner grey rectangle to mark a received table cell?  Anything else?
    • Is there a direct method, or reasonably simple indirect method for removing the cell container so vertical space can be inserted?
    • Does Mail.app use any other special markings to denote HTML formatting?

No, Mail.app is using HTML - as you mentioned that's pretty much true for all email applications that send or receive formatted messages. When you copy and paste from another app, it's converted to HTML (I think that conversion is handled by the system, as part of the copy/paste operation - i.e., it's converted while still on the clipboard).
    • Is there a public RTF standard that Mail.app is known to follow?
HTML, not RTF. w3.org is the standards body. Like many OS X apps,  Mail.app is using Webkit (the Safari web rendering engine) to display the messages (although I do notice some differences from Safari, so it's probably limited somehow, most likely for security reasons)
    • Is there a direct method, or a reasonably simple indirect method for making Mail.app's RTF formatting visible?
Save your outgoing message, then view it in your "Drafts" folder. Click the "View" menu, then "Message --> Raw Source".
    • Beside Mail.app's GUI commands, is there a direct method, or a reasonably simple indirect method for editing Mail.app's RTF formatting?
Nope. The "raw source" view cannot be edited.

That's essentially correct, the box corresponds to the HTML table. I think you get that when you add some HTML code to your message that Mail doesn't have the interface to edit (no table tools to add or delete rows, for instance), but I've only encountered it with tables.
    • Is there a direct method, or reasonably simple indirect method for removing the cell container so vertical space can be inserted?
I usually resort to pasting the message into a more capable editor - often TextEdit is good enough, but I've sometimes resorted to using Dreamweaver. Make your changes, then paste the result (from the WYSIWYG, not the HTML code) back into your mail message.
Other times I just avoid using Mail.app. Thunderbird is better for complicated HTML, or was better - it's been a while since I've needed to use  for this purpose.
    • Does Mail.app use any other special markings to denote HTML formatting?
    No, not to my knowledge.

  • What kind of red entries we see in general in SCM Queue Manager?

    Hi Experts,
When does SCM Queue Manager comes into picture? What kind of red entries we see in general in SCM Queue Manager? Explain with atleast 2 examples.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Suvecha

    Hi,
You are taking a planning run in APO. System has created orders. These orders need to flow to R3.
This you need to carryout in /SAPAPO/CCR. If these orders are not moving to R3 , system will throw error message.
This error message you can find in /SAPAPO/CQ or SMQ1 or SMQ2 depending upon queue type.
This error you need to rectify. Then only orders will flow to R3.
This is applicable both from R3 to APO and APO to R3.
You can further info in details in CIF help library.
    Thanks,

  • HT4059 what does the red light and 'not in store' mean

What does the red light in manage my books mean? And what does 'not in store mean'?

    Hello Simon,
I believe you have two unrelated problems. The red light is only associated with the digital audio port and indicates the "mute" switch inside the jack that turns off the built-in speakers when phones are in use has jammed in the mute position. No way it should affect your ability to start the computer. That has to be something else.
Does your computer give the normal startup chime sounds when you turn it on?
If you are getting the normal startup chime and have a wired keyboard, boot while pressing the SHIFT key. Keep holding the SHIFT key until you get a desktop, then let go the key. At this point, do not try to do any work with the computer but rather see if it will restart normally (without holding any keys or key combos).

  • What does the red bubble mean that is near the phone symbol and moves over to the vm symbol when phone is turned on

What does the red bubble mean that appears near the phone symbol then moves over temporarly to the VM symbol, when first turning the phone on.  It goes away with a few seconds

It means you have no signal, or if on the VM icon, it means to visual voicemail.  Sounds like you're just getting it temporarily until the phone establishes a signal.

  • What is the red x?

I try to open a link, an image, and a pop-up window that should be disp[laying the image, shows nothing but a little red x. I'm told this has to do with Java.
i'm clueless and also very curious; how does inserting that image relate to java and what is the red x? what are the possible reasons for the image not appearing on the screen?

browser can't find it. either the image isn't there or the path is wrong.
if the popup window is a browser, it's not java-specific. that's just what browsers do when they can't find an image that should be part of the page.

  • MDM Architecture: what does RICH content / THIN content refer to

    Hi,
When I read through the SAP NetWeaver MDM architecture (major building blocks), I have a question (in order to explain to other audience....):
What does RICH content / Thin content refer to / mean?
Under the thin content, there is Search/View, Data maintanance, OCI. For rich content, there are all mdm clients listed below. I don't know how to explain this diagram because using SAP MDM, it seems there no thin content....the search/view and data maintanance function are realised in MDM data manager. So why is it listed here?
    Thanks in advance!
    Angela Zhang

As already guessed, it is simply that MDM can be run in a fully administrative environment consisting of the MDM UI clients (i.e. the MDM Data Manager, MDM Console, MDM Import Manager, MDM Syndicator, MDM Publisher), and/or you can run it using SAP NetWeaver Portal (thin client). For portal usage MDM has specific portal content (for example, specific iViews).

  • What is CODE RED and BUS ERROR?

    Hi all,
Thanks in advance, what is CODE RED and BUS ERROR .Can any one tell me about it (advantages)or please refer where can i get notes on it.
    Thanks

It seems You are invoking the Rotate Canvas Tool (R), which let’s one (if OpenGL is enabled) rotate the canvas non-destructively … it is not undo-able as it does not affect the image-data, but only the display.
Just clicking Reset View in the Options Bar (if the Tool is selected or spring-loaded by keeping the R-key pressed) should straighten the appearance.
Edit: When switching to a new version it might be beneficial to consult the »What’s new«-section of the Help.

  • What is the red block on left of Materialized View in SQL Object Browser

    Hi
In APEX 4.0 i have a few Materialized Views - all work fine, but when I view them in the SQL Workshop Object Browser, a little red block appears on the left hand side of the MV name.
I'm curious to know what this might mean.
    Thanks
    Mike

    Hi Jari
That is what is puzzling me, because if I examine the Details tab of the particular MV it shows as VALID.
The same shows when I run in SQL:-
    select status
    from all_snapshots where NAME = 'MV_NAME';
    The status is valid.
It is not a problem - just puzzling?!
    Thanks anyway.
    Mike

The police are at the home where my phone was located about an hour ago, but now there is a red dot and it appears that the phone is no longer turned "on" so they can no longer prove that the phone is there?

Yep, it the phone is switched off, there is no way to locate it. What you're looking at is the last located position, which will be available for 24 hours.
