Locate my sales force using the GPS capabilities of an iPad2. Possible?

What if I have a nation wide sales force equipped with iPad 2 devices. I want to be able to see where they are on a map from the home office using the GPS locator capabilities built in to the device. The idea would be to get the closest salesperson to respond to a sales lead. Is this possible? Waht applications or setup would be necessary?

I cannot speak from experience becasue my iPad is Wi-Fi, I can only pass on what I have read. GPS only is a much slower system to initiate. You need to be in an area where the iPad can create an unobstructed line of sight with the satelite system. And that can take a while to occur. But with a SIM card you can take advantage of Assisted-GPS and tap into the fact that your iPad can know where it is faster becasue it can tap into the local cellular network and a data base of cell tower locations, as well as wi-fi hotspot locations. Folks report that this works even if you do not actually have cellular service account activated.

i wanted to know what if sales order of that wip job item line is cancelled say example if that wip job already is in processing .

If WIP job cancelled or Requisition/PO is cancelled, corresponding order line reservation will be cleared and will go to 'Supply Eligible' Status. Progressing this line will again follow the WIP/Requisition path based on item.

I have read again the link and you are correct that in using the preferred command together with localhost under POTS dial-peer, I can now select which correct path to choose for my outbound calls. I'm just not very strong with dial-peer and translation rules at the moment.
I will try this solution during the weekend and let you know. But it would have been better if there was a sample configuration for this option.

SPRO Transaction - Incentive and Sales Force Management

Hi Experts,
I am trying to access Incentive and Sales Force management in SPRO transaction. When I drop down the arrow of Incentive and Sales management I see Application wizard which when I cick is opening a wizard. That is working fine.
But, when I click on Optimized view of implementation guide for my application I see a wierd error saying that "No application found".
Is there something which I need to do to overcome this?

Commission Calaculation for Sales Force

I want to know the configuration steps for commission calaculation for sales force depends upon the below stated criteria....
NOTE: In bold format those requirement to meet. Rest of those are set by the management earlier....
As Is requirements‎
To- Be requirements‎
Please refer below for the clarifications. There are few significant changes:‎
Step 1 Group Sales Target (Sales group will be given a sales target on a periodic basis. And ‎this will be built up by individual sales employee).‎
Required Fields: Period from (month/year) to (month/year)‎
‎ Sales Office:‎
‎ Sales Employee:‎
‎ Target Quantity:‎
Requirements after discussion:‎
‎- The MD wants to put some targets for regional wise, sales office wisemeans for ‎
Example: Jeddah Region 100,000 SARs‎
‎ Riyadh Region 75,000 SARs‎
‎- Sales & Marketing manager can complete/ reach the whole target or including the sales men.‎
Step 2 On Time Collection (Sales employee will get commission for on-time collection for the ‎revenue that he achieved in Step 1). ‎
Required Fields: Period from (month/year) to (month/year)‎
‎ Commission % (this commission could be in decimal %)‎
Condition should be 100% collection criteria. Need to see the no of invoices raised and whether ‎collected them individually. For example if 10 invoices raised for SR 10,000 each and on-time ‎collection has happened only for 5 invoices then he gets commission only for the 5 invoices ‎collected on-time (SR 50,000).‎
Requirements after discussion:‎
‎ - In this condition they want to keep some targets per SALES MEN ‎
Step 3 Sales Target for Selected Products (Sales employee will be given a target to sell certain ‎promotional products)‎
Required Fields: Period from (month/year) to (month/year)‎
‎ Sales Office:‎
‎ Sales Employee:‎
‎ Material:‎
‎ Target Quantity:‎
‎ Commission %: (This will get extracted from a separated table maintained ‎with material & commission %)‎
Requirements after discussion: ‎
‎ Commission will get by the sales man on the basis of below stated Condition ‎
for Selected Material X for specified period X target amount‎
Conditions for getting the commission: ‎
‎ ‎
‎1.‎ For getting the commission, the sales team must and should achieve the above 2 ‎conditions out of 3. Then only eligible for commission
‎2.‎ Commission will be get by the sales man based on in-time collections.‎
‎3.‎ ‎80% of the commission will be distributed among the sales mens.‎
‎4.‎ Rest of 20% the amount will be distributed among the Sales & Marketing Manager and ‎Coordinators on over all performance.‎

there are two ways:
1. near-realtime, which is easier. Use SQL queries to get the information from real time tables from ICM. The information is not really realtime, since it is updated in 5-10 seconds interval.
2. CTI monitor, which might be challenging. Use the CTI interface of ICM to 'subscribe' for all/selected events, including state changes and then do your calculations. It's realtime, but again, programming it may take a while.

Calling Sales Force Web-services from FMW

Hi,
Can anyone help me in calling Sales Force web-services from Fusion Middleware.
I've created a web-services in Sales Force & now I want to call it from FMW. The issue is we can't directly call SF web-services. We have to first authenticate ourself on SF site with user name & password along with Security token, get the session Id & then we have to call the web-service by setting the session Id in header.
If anyone has the PDF "salesforce-integration-fusion-middleware-twp.pdf " or any documentation on Sales Force integration with Oracle Fusion.
Please help. Thanks in adavance.

Thanks a lot for the reply & I absolutely think that's the way it should be. I've written a Java code with SF APIs to first login, get the session Id & then call the actual web-service with session Id set in header.
But the issue I'm facing from Fusion is I don't know the web-service for authentication with valid credentials to get the session Id.
I need the details of web-service which I should call first with my valid credentials to get the session Id so that I can pass the session Id as header parameter for calling the actual web-service.

If the sales order is made with a Qty of 10 items in it , if the all 10 items are delivered to customer then that is called as Closed Sales order
Means if Sales order Qty (vbap-kwmeng) = Delivery qty (lips-lfimg) then that is losed other wise out of 10 qty 5 are supllied and 5 are yet to be supplied then that is open sales order
MB1C = Goods receipt for others
MB1B = Transfer Posting for Material Moving

What happend to "Force Retrieval of Longs" setting in Oracle 10gR2 ODBC driver?
Is this setting replaced by some other settings in the Oracle ODBC 10.02.00.01 Version driver?

Metlink Note:373118.1 discusses this. Basically, that option is always enabled now. This change appears to have been made in the 9.2.0.7 version of the driver.

Sales force integration using advantco adapters

Hi,
We are implementing Sales force.
To integrate sales force with SAP PI, we are evaluating Advantco SFDC &REST adapter.
Please let me know is there any issues/challenges ,we will face if we use these adapters.
Also is there any other adapter we can use to integrate with sales force.

Hi Surya,
As per my knowledge, REST adapter needs session management for salesforce integration which is quite challenging compared to SFDC adapter. Additionally SFDC will support BULK and streaming API's (push notification) also. You can use REST adapter for other systems as well, it support json protocol (light weight).
