What is significance of points/status in forum

I've been working with oracle since 1992 and yet I still have no idea how the points thing in the fora work. (Obviously it has not seemed to be of great importance or I would have asked this question sooner :-) But ok, for what reason are points awarded? I was noticing that the forum now has a "participants" list in order by "status" which seems to be random and not in order by points or how much bling they have on their icon. The champion of the underdog says "good". So where do people cash in their points? Just curious.

What are "rewards points"?
It is possible for you to reward an answerer 5 points for a "helpful" answer or 10 points for a "correct" one (or none at all). Users who accumulate certain amounts of points reach different levels of recognition (see legend). In this manner, users who offer consistently helpful or correct answers raise their standing in the community. (Note: in order to award points, you must identify your post as a "question" first - which is set as default.)
So where do people cash in their points? Just curious.
I'm also not sure right now. I got thrown out of the last bar where I tried to pay with some of my points, and also the coffee dispenser constantly ignores my offer of even all my points for one small cup.
Seriously they don't have much value. With X points you get another badge displayed right to your handle, and also if you are in the top X of a forum you get displayed in the top participants list of the forum (much similar as with the post count previously). Other then that they have not much value.

WHAT IS THE POINT OF THIS FORUM?

What is the point of this forum when over half the questions go unanswered?
In fact, what is the point of creating and selling a product that so many people can't even install without an expert looking over their shoulder?

There are reasons for doing controlled releases, and your implementation experience with prior upgrades is one of them.
Doing an upgrade requires the management of the underlying repository, the underlying repository has changed significantly from 309 to 902 owing to the introduction of OID and other significant changes to the architecture.
Running a controlled release allows Oracle to ensure that the final upgrade scripts when made publicly available are as solid and bug-free as possible whilst allowing those customers who wish to upgrade sooner rather than later and take part in the feedback process can do so with the knowledge that Oracle can help them should they come across any issues.
We currently have over 150 customers running the upgrade scripts and providing feedback, so much so that we are hoping to release them publicly in the very near future.
On another note, I should point out that in your post you are referring to DB upgrade versions and not Application Server upgrade versions..

you can see this class in SE24 and than choose GET INSTENCE method DB on it. than put break-point on
CALL METHODcl_exithandler=>get_class_name_by_interface
finally run any t-code you will come into debugger mode and if you see in exit_name value after pressing F6 you will get BADi name of this perticuler T-code.
basically we use this class for findings BADi.

Welcome to Apple Discussions!
Maybe a long shot, but WD is not known for the quality of some of their enclosures, although I do like the drives themselves. It may be worth mounting this drive in a different enclosure, something like one of OWC's FireWire enclosures with the highly reliable Oxford chip sets. I wouldn't be inclined to trust a WD enclosure, especially if it already seemed to be acting in a flakey manner.

I have 3 of these and I really like them.
From what I understand, if the drive spins up, it is often possible to recover data from it. To be absolutely certain to destroy the data, you just about have to take a hammer to the disk. Hopefully, there will be a way to get your data back.

What happened to the Lightroom 5 Beta forum? Deleted, not archived or merged?

What happened to the Lightroom 5 Beta forum? I understand that LR5.2 is now in full release, but it would be nice if the Beta forum was locked and archived for reference. It seems to have been completely deleted, along with some detailed feedback by myself and other Beta testers. (I can't find it if it is archived, anyway.) None of my many, many LR5Beta forum contributions are listed in my "Content" tab in my Adobe profile. All of the links to the LR5Beta discussion in which I contributed to (such as http://forums.adobe.com/message/5271729#5271729 ) lead me to this message:

I worked very hard on explaining my "Advanced Adjustment Brush" proposal back in May 2013, and I am glad that it is again available for reference... in fact, even better, as it appears that the thread is now fully unlocked and availble to reply to. For Functionality Differences pls refer to the below site -

After opening the site, please select the Source Release Version which is 4.6 b Then Select the Target Release Version which is "mySAP ERP 2005" or ECC 6.0
Select the Solution Area like Financials, Human Capital Management, Sales....
Select module like MM, PP, SD, and QM.....
Click on Search
then it displays the Release Version and the Delta Functionality. Which can be downloaded to a word document if required.
And also check the release notes of ECC 6.0 in service.sap.com.
When you are upgrading from 4.6C to ECC6
Nothing major, follow the same process you'd follow if you were updating PI service packs in R/3 or enhancing data sources. Empty queues in RSA7 and lbwq. Also empty setup tables through lbwg as the upgrade doesn't like it if these tables contain data. This is all on the R/3 side (although you empty RSA7 by running each delta TWICE in BW).
To transfer queues from lbwq to rsa7, execute jobs through LO cockpit (lbwe).
Some of your data sources could also be using sm13 instead of lbwq, so do check it out as well.
For installing ECC 6.0 you required a solution manager key. With out solution manager key you cannot install ECC6.0.
For ECC 6.0 is called net weaver component here you have ABAP+JAVA stack.
ECC6.0 supports UNCODE.
For installing 4.6 you don't require solution manager key. It only having ABAP stack.
4.6C supports NONUNICODE.
Major difference is ECC6 is netwear product having WASJAVA+ABAP

First of all a basic question, what is an access point? I am trying to allow another computer to access my wireless network and have no idea where to begin. I have seached the Linksys product support website, but was not able to find the help I need and am confused as to what to do. The home computer that my router is setup up to is running Windows Vista. I want to be able get on the wireless internet at my home with my work laptop, which runs Windows XP SP1. A wireless access point is where your wireless computer would connect to in order to be able to access the internet wirelessly.
Linksys wireless routers are also wireless access points, so you can connect a wireless computer to it.
In connecting wirelessly to the router or wireless access point, it would depend on the wireless utility used on your wireless computer.

Recovery Point Status Report Shows Only One Day

Hello. Our Recovery Point Status Report showed us the last five days until about a month ago and now it only shows us one day. Just happened over a week-end when there was nothing changed on the server. We appear to have recovery points that go back
a week and the recovery point status is set to a month. We are running System Center 2012 R2 DPM.
Any help is appreciated, thank you for your time.
