What is size of PACKED FILED

what is size of PACKED FILED?
please explain

Hello,
The value range of type <b>P</b> fields depends on their length and the number of decimal places. P fields can be <b>1 to 16</b> bytes long, with two decimal digits packed into each byte, and one decimal digit and the sign packed into the last byte. There can be up to <b>14</b> decimal places. Auxiliary fields for intermediate results are always <b>16 bytes</b> long and can thus hold up to 31 decimal digits. To ensure that the decimal point is correctly calculated, you should always set the program attribute "fixed point arithmetic". Otherwise, all numbers are specified as integers and all intermediate results for the next integer are rounded. If "fixed point arithmetic" is not set, the decimal places defined for the number only appear when outputting with WRITE.
Fixed point arithmetic is decimal arithmetic and is similar to using a pocket calculator or calculating with paper and pencil.
Type <b>P</b> is typically used for sizes, lengths, weights and sums of money.

  • Size of packed field

    hi,
what is the size of packed field

    Hi,
By default packed size is 8 bytes, range of the packed data type is 1 to 16  bytes.
If u didn't specify any thing in the declaration.  it occupies 8 bytes   ... Ex.  data num type p.
If u want some then u can specify the bytes how many u want like below..
Ex.  data num(2) type p.     Here It occupies only two bytes..
Complete syntax of packed type is u should specify the decimals how many u want..
data  num type p decimals 3.  ... That means  after integer it prints 3 decimals.   Ex  ouptut  2345.123
    Thanks and Regards,

  • How do you know what frame size to make your movie?

    Hello everyone,
I know this is probably an easy question, but I just need someone to sum it up for me
If I'm going to compress my movie (Shot in 4:3, 720x480) and I want to put it on someone else website... which I don't know there frame size... like youtube, can I just submit any size and their website will fit it for me?
    Does that make sense?
Like I know youtube says you can submit a file size of up to 1 gb, but what frame size should it be? Or do I just make the best looking movie I can from compressor and then just submit?
    Thanks...

Most sites such as YouTube will resize it for you, yes. For specific YouTube encoding, this may be of assistance:

whats the size of ios7 if i want to update it from itunes?and what's better OTA or itunes?

    Whatsapp should work fine.
Doing the upgrade over iTunes will give you the opportunity to make a full backup of your phone first, and will most likely provide for a faster and smoother upgrade.   I'd do it that way, and will once I get home later tongith.

  • What is the BIS pack and what does it allow?

    Hi BBers,
    just me again!
I read over this forum the last few days, and got my email/facebook/msn question fixed via going back to the telstra shop and getting a BIS pack for $10/m along with my 1GB data included in my cap plan.
So all emails working well ...
My next question is ... what is the BIS pack, and what does it allow me to do/use?  it was 530pm when the sales lady got to me, so she whipped it up on the computer, and sent me packing saying it will all be good in 20 mins .... no real detail except "unlimited email" ... but im sure the other sales person when I bought my phone said "apps, msn, facebook and stuff" were covered by the BIS plan.
    So please help me!!!
I have WiFi at home, and can connect to it, but now I dont know when Im using it, or the data pack, or the BIS haha its driving me (and my husband) nuts!
Ok, wait for replies, thanks for all views/posts.

    Hello,
FYI -- "here", as in these forums (which are targeted at BB/RIM services rather than carrier services), would not be the best place to find out something specific for one carrier. With so many thousands of carriers with dozens of different plans each, it's pretty much impossible to keep track of the specifics. The generic information is this:
    http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.php/What_do_I_need_a_Data_Plan_for%3F
But, there certainly can be variations on that given the different packages carriers put together. I do suggest you do as JSanders recommended -- contact your carrier and find out what you've signed up for.
    Good luck!

  • What file size is a PDF?

I receive lots of PDF files but I can't figure out what file size the creator used. If he used the smallest size setting, it wouldn't have a high enough resolution for professional printing would it?
I have preflighted PDFs but can't figure out where it tells me if a PDF is the smallest file size or Press Quality.
Thanks for your help in advance.

Sorry peeps but I have a question that is at the beginning stages but I seem to need to re visit this area, can anyone PLEASE tell me how to print to pdf. I usually hit command-p and go to printer and set my dpi to 300 and than check custom so that my postcard will fit correctly save to my designated folder and let Acrobat do the rest...the reason I go this way is because I have to keep my file size as low as possible because I have to email my files to the printer. is there a sight or can anyone please tell me what I'm doing wrong..I start with a file at 6.63mb and after I print to pdf with the settings I said at the beginning and I wind up with 51.23kb PLEASE help!

    Thank you very much

    Hello,
That is part of very low level diagnostics message.
The size is is how many members in that set.
The BitSetCount=2 means that 2 32b integers were required to represent the memberset on the wire.
    Best regards,

  • What image size for full page photo?

What image size is required to be able to create a single full page photo in an iPhoto book?
I shoot in RAW and use Lightroom for most of my photography. However, for family pictures, I'd like to create an iPhoto book. I exported from Lightroom as 100% quality jPEGs / at 320 dpi / small side 2000 pixels -- but I still get a triangle warning that this is not big enough for a single photo page. What dimensions/resolution is required to put one photo on a page?
By the way, would you recommend jPEG? I tried TIFF and while those file sizes much larger, I still get warning triangle?
Finally, when I re-import to the new size that someone hopefully will recommend, how do I delete my old (too small) images in iPhoto?

    AEPC
Welcome to the Apple user to user assistance forums
In iPhoto '08 & '09 the warning comes on if a photo is below 180 dpi - so for 8.5 x 11 you need a minimum photo size of 1530 x 1980 pixels - and remember is you zoom or crop the photo in the book the area you actually printing must be that - not the original sized photo
The format of the photo (TIFF or JPEG) makes no difference in the warning symbol only the pixel size

  • What pixel size for A5 on iPad 2?

I need to make some A5 leaflet in Photoshop Touch on my iPad 2.
I don't know what pixel size to use for A5. I was told 2480x1754 but this prints way too small on my printer.
    Any ideas?!
    Thanks.

I don't see a way to at least increase the quality in the apps that the Photosmart uses. Still, it might not be the printer's fault since you can't set the DPI in PS Touch...at least not yet. What's the default at? 72 DPI?

  • What pixel size should film clips be?

I'm requesting to have some film clips sent to me, that I will be importing to a film of mine. The person I'm requesting the clips from is asking what pixel size should he send the clip to me in?
He is converting the clips from PAL into NTSC and is asking any format information he need to know before doing so.
    Should I just tell him:
    Frame rate:24
    Dimensions:640x480
    Encoding mode: Multi-pass.
These are the setting I took from quick time movies.
    Does anyone know?

You probably meant to say video not film.
If the material is DV PAL and he is converting it to DV NTSC, he should give you 720x480 29.97fps 48khz/16 bit clips.
