when downloading latest security patch the downloading bar will onl move about 3/8 inch and stop, show Apple icon and go to home screen. What could be causing this

I tried uninstalling firefox and all of its components , restarting my computer , and re-downloading a fresh copy of firefox. I went through all of the things as far as installing and it said it would launch firefox as soon as it was done installing! And guess what? It went right back to that picture that you see above!! I really like the Yahoo interface and have been using it for years! Never had a problem on Firefox before like this!! I am currently trying to download iOS 7 to my iPhone OTA. However, it seems to be stuck but rather than showing up that an error has occurred, it keeps trying to download. I would like it to stop trying but nothing works. I have tried switching it off and on again and hard reset but when I go back it keeps starting the download again. I'm aware that there are server issues so it may take a while but I would rather try getting it on my computer.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

7.1.1 is certainly compatible with the iPhone 4. Just try a reset first.
Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)

the post above me is a good way, but you can also do it in itunes.
when your device is plugged in, and itunes (the program) is open.
if you click on your device on the left column of itunes under the Devices heading. you'll see in the middle of itunes the Summery tab.
scroll down and you will see some options.
open itunes when this device is connected
manually mange music and videos..
etc etc.
underneath you can turn off accessibility by selecting the Configure Universal Access button
in the pop up window select neither from the options (voice over, zoom, neither)
