What is the 6 box frame

i am at my wit's friggin' end with this. what and why does a six frame box appear every once and awhile in the middle of my gd screen and puts the window from whatever i JUST using (chrome, word, iphoto) into one of those six frames never to reappear?! I cannot find any info on this, I don't know if it's mac thing or chrome or what. someone please give me some useful info. i'm about to punch out my screen. This is the first time I've used a discussion forum for this, I was expecting by now to actually find the info I was looking for regarding this "problem" somewhere else without having to explain the problem.

Chrome would not put any other application's display into a window. I still think you're getting into Mission Control, aka Exposé if you're running an earlier version of OS X.
Oetherwise, without being able to see what you're seeing, it's difficult to guess. If you can get a screen shot of the system when it does this, post it here and we may be able to figure out what's happening.
Regards.

  • What is the blank  frame with broken  photo mean ?

After I edited a picture in Photoshop Elements 9 I  then  put it into an e mail attachment. I was then switched to the organizer that had a blank spot with a broken photo . I could not get any explanation. I also was told that i had the wrong format to email. Does this mean I can't email an edited photo ? What does the broken frame mean ?

Thank you Jim. I do have one more question with regards to your advice:
I am putting the new firmware on my GH2 today, so I will be able to capture 1080/30p as opposed to only 1080/60i to edit in the 30p timeline. Is there a reason you would prefer 60i over true 30p at the same res? I've had problems with interlacing in the past never quite going away and getting funky when doing slow motion and other effects.

  • What is the max frame rate in depthFrame

In v1.8, I remembered the frame rate can be up to 30fps in depthFrme. what is the max frame rate in depthFrame in the v2.0? And how can i set it? thx!

Depth (and IR, body, face and HDface) frame rates are 30fps.
Color is 30fps unless low light mode is detected then it automatically switches to 15fps.
If you're using the multistream source it will stream at the lowest framerate from the chosen framesources.
When you're using separate sources they all stream at their own fps rate.
Frame rates can not be set by the user.

  • What is the BOXI 3 SP2 equivalent for ReportDocument and ParameterValues?

I need to convert code from BOXI to BOXI 3 SP2.
What is the BOXI 3 version of BOXI crystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument?
What is the BOXI 3 version of BOXI CrystalDecisions.Shared.ParameterValues?
I'm a newbie in business objects, so any help would be appreciated.

The ReportDocument SDK hasn't undergone huge changes between XI and XI3.1. You should have the Developer edition of Crystal Reports 2008 installed on your dev machine, after the installation of Visual Studio. Apply the latest service pack (it's necessary to patch to at least SP1 if you want to do anything that hooks into Enterprise). Check your project references to make sure they're the right version (12.x). Recompile and see if you get any errors.

  • What is the box with the down arrow in email.

What is the box with the down arrow in the email.  it is at the top near the reply arrow.

OKAY....are you guys ready for the answer to this question: "What is the box with down arrow in it in my iPad email?".
This drove me nuts but I stuck with until I figured it out.
When you open a message in iPad, sometimes you'll see a box with a down arrow. Touch it...and your email disappears!!!
    Where does it go?
Lay down your iPad and go to your computer...you CANNOT access the Archive folder from your iPad!
    1) Go check your gmail account from your computer. When you click on a message, look in the top row of 'choices' in what to do with that emai: back to inbox, ARCHIVE(a box with a down arrow), report spam, delete, move to, labels, and more are your choices.
    2) now look in the left hand column and you'll see: Inbox, starred, Important, Sent Mail, Drafts, Notes, Personal, Travel...now mouse over Travel (or whatever your last item is in the column) and "More" will appear.
    3) Click on 'More' and "All Mail" will appear.
    4) Click on "All Mail" and voila!!! All of those messages that have been disappearing from your iPad are found there.
    5) NOW FINALLY, you can click on each message in the "All Mail" folder and you have the option to move them to any folder you wish.
    6) UNDERSTAND THIS: You CANNOT access the 'All Mail' folder from your iPad...you MUST use your computer.
Hope that helps all of you who were as frustrated as me.
Ya think Apple would write something about this somewhere!!

  • What is the best frame rate to shoot/edit with for export to DVD?

Hello, I am going to shoot some instructional martial arts videos that need to be exported to DVD. I haven't exported to DVD since 2005. I am curious what the best frame rate is to shoot with and edit in Premiere to export to DVD. I've read conflicting information online. Some forums say that you can edit in whatever frame rate you want as long as the output is SD, 30i, which seems outdated to me.
I'm shooting on the GH2, so my options are 1080 24p (which has terrible strobiness compared to other cameras at 24p), 1080 60i, 720 60p, and apparently there is an HBR firmware update that allows 1080 30p. I want the motion to be as unstroby as possible, without being too soft. My friend's camera can shoot 1080 60p and I'm considering buying the G6, which also shoots 1080 60p. But I've read online that 60p to DVD looks choppy.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.

  • UK iPhone Whats in the Box?

Anybody know what we'll get in the box in comparisson to what was in the US box

on the UK apple store this is listed as an accessorie. Why would it be an accessory if its in the box?
It is also an accessory at the U.S. Apple Store for those who want to purchase an additional plug adaptor such as for their office instead of having to move one back and forth between locations or for those who lose the one included with the box.
Apple pulled the plug adaptor or wall charger from which iPod?
Since every phone I've purchased or that has been provided to me at work has always included a wall charger but a vehicle charger has always been optional, Apple followed this in the U.S. The norm or standard for cell phone sales in the UK may be different though.
No one here knows and if not available at Apple's UK online store or via O2's website or provided with one of the online reviews for the iPhone to be released in the UK, you will need to wait until Friday at 6:00 PM or whenever the scheduled time is for the release.

  • What is the best frame rate to use for movies watched only on computer scre

    Hello all,
I'm UK based, and so use the PAL system of 25 fps. This works well enough if I want to make a DVD, but I'm now starting to work on projects that will only ever be seen on You Tube or Mobile Me - that sort of environment.
A portion of my work features stills, and I prefer to use Photo to Movie for pan, scan, and zoom and rotate - it's much more versatile than Ken Burns in iMovie.
However, I can't seem to get perfectly smooth pans when viewing on a screen. Depending on whether I use 25 fps or 30 fps, the pan is slightly 'trembly'. I've tried all the codecs, different frame rates etc, but I can't seem to remove this problem. A pan created in iMovie is perfectly smooth. Does anyone know why I can't replicate this in Photo to Movie?
I'm starting to suspect it isn't really a frame rate issue, but something else - but there my knowledge runs out.
Can anyone offer advice on this?
    Thanks in advance.

For Video projects, use the same frame rate as your source material. If your camcorder shoots PAL use PAL. For photos it should not matter.
I get a whole lot more control over Ken Burns in iMovie. I always thought that iPhoto was just kind of random with no control.
I guess I'll have to go back and look at it. In iMovie 09 and before, iMovie did not handle vertically oriented photos very well for Ken Burns. This is fixed in iMovie 11.

  • What is the "applications frame" option ?

Why is this here? My was checked and it was driving me crazy with the window extending beyond the bottom of the monitor.

The Application Frame is just a blank space Photoshop draws that shows where you'll be editing.  Its intent is to be a background to block out distractions from windows or desktop graphics.
It's optional on a Mac and it's always on on a PC.  I think Mac users more often expect it not to be shown, as it has been that way with past Photoshop versions, while Windows users always expect to see a window fully drawn on the screen.
If your main Photoshop window was going beyond the bottom of your monitor, and you really did want the application frame turned on, you might have been able to recover the proper window size by resetting Photoshop's preferences to defaults.
How did it get to be larger than the monitor?  Did you use a larger monitor at one time?

  • What is the most Frames Per Second NI-CAN can do?

My goal is to send 1000 Frames per Second on my CAN bus using the NI-CAN PCI 2 slot card I have.  However the closest I have been able to do is 666 frames per second.  This is sending 8 frames every 12 MS using an edited readmult example.  Is there a way to do this with writemult?  Or is there a hardware limit that I am trying to go past?
What can I mess with to get more frames?  Increase Baudrate?  Decrease the size of the frames?  (I've tried both of those)
Other questions that should probably go in other posts  (Frame API):
Is there a way to send/read the frames at the bit-level?  I have found ways to manipulate Arbitration ID, Remote Frame, Data Length, and Data, but there are several other bits in a frame.
Is there a way to send a bad frame, one that would raise/cause an error frame?

Yes, I did break 1,000 Frames Per Second.  I got up to 1,714 and 1,742 using two different methods.  This is at 250 kbps, if you used 500 or 1 Mbps, you could get more frames.  If you have 125 kbps, you might not be able to break 1,000 Frames per Second.
ncWriteMult is the key.  You can load 512 frames in a queue at a time.  I would put 256 on at a time and check to see if there was less than 256 frames left in the queue and if there was, load it up, that way the queue would never be empty.  I went about it 2 ways, one was using ncGetAttribute to determine space left, and that got the faster method, however, I was also trying to read the messages to verify that it worked, and I had problems with logging every frame.  It would also send the first 40 ncWriteMults quickly, as if the queue it was filling was much larger than 512.
The other way, was using trial and error to determine how many MS to sleep before writing the next batch of 256 frames.  There are variables outside of my control that determined the time it would take and it would vary a few ms.  I wanted a stable environment that could send forever without filling the queue so I went with a value that would wait 2 or 3 ms, depending on conditions before writing again.  The value I used was 142 ms, I think.  Your Mileage May Vary.
There is also a way to do some error handling that I did not try to utilize.  Instead of the process crashing, there is a way to tell it to wait if this error is returned.  That might be the best way for me to implement what I wanted to do, but I was assigned another task before I tried to get that to work.
There is a timing element in ncWriteMult's documentation I didn't look into very much, but that would space the frames out and could send 1,000 frames a second evenly distributed, instead of sending them as quickly as possible, wait some ms then send another batch.
If anyone could link us, or provide some code snippets of the error handling, or proper usage of ncGetAttribue, or some way to read faster, that would be greatly appreciated.

  • Mail icons -  what is the "box with arrow" 3rd icon over?

    Hi,
When I am reading an email the 3rd icon on the bottom of the screen looks like a box with an arrow over it.  What is that icon?  When I click it the email seems to disappear.  Once in awhile I see the trashcan icon, but not usually?
    Thanks
    Joe

From your description, it could be the "print attachment" icon
    or "send photo" icon

  • What is the suggested frame rate to record in for fast / slow motion processing from a clip recorded

I want to create a video however I only have 1 dslr camera and I want the ability to post process the clips I record to be either in slow motion or fast motion. I don't want to have to record something in 24fps then 60fps. is there an ideal frame rate for both. What are some of the best practices for this in regards to recording and post processing in Premiere Pro.
Example of fast and slow video. Thanks.
    http://vimeo.com/75259949

The ideal is to shoot in different frame rates, one for real time footage and one for fast or slow motion clips.  This is called under and overcranking.  It means you have to decide when shooting whether the clip will be real time or not.
Less than ideal is to shoot everything at one frame rate and then slow it down or speed it up later.  It's less than ideal because the effect is never as perfect as the ideal method.  Especially in PP, which does not do very well with slow motion to the point I recommend using After Effects instead.  (At least with 24 fps media.)
On a side note, you can help solve the horrible slow-motion problem:
