What is the apex internal administration credentials

dear all
i have installed oracle xe 11g and i have loged in on storage and apex tabs and i have created workspace and users.
now i would like to access apex internal administration. i need to configure email server ip there
can anyone help me with this.

Hi Uday,
that's no problem. You'll find a script named apxchpwd.sql in the apex directory of your XE installation path (e.g. +/u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/xe/apex+ on Linux).
Change to that directory, start sqlplus as sysdba and run the script to reset the password.
Note that you'll have to set the environment properly to be able to run sqlplus. You can do that by sourcing the oracle_env.sh
. /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/xe/bin/oracle_env.sh
cd /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/xe/apex
sqlplus sys@XE as sysdba
(enter login data)
@apxchpwd.sql
(enter new password)
exitAfterwards you should be able to login using the new password.

Internal (alias of SYS) is only valid for Oracle for Unix. In Windows environment, changing the password of SYS doesn't means that the INTERNAL password reflected the same. INTERNAL password can only changed by using PASSWORD FILE or ORADIM.
The default INTERNAL password in Oracle 8i for Win is MANAGER. Oracle 8.1.5 for Win, it is ORACLE.

What's the maximum internal space for Mid 2010 MacBook Pro

Ok guys I'm about to upgrade my internal drive on my MacBook Pro and would like to know what is the maximum space to put in. I'm also gong to replace optibay a 128GB SSD. Is any 1TB 2.5" good?

I suggest that you install the SSD in the same place as your current HDD. Install the 1 TB drive in the DVD drive location.
I have HGST 1 TB drives, both 5400 rpm and 7200 rpm. Both work satisfactorily.

What is the best Database Administrator Tool

In my one of my earlier organizations DB administration jobs were done with TOAD. In my next organization my Project manager told that TOAD is actually meant for developers. There the tool was DBArtisan. Now in my present company I would have to take the decision to purchase some DB Administration tool. What should I select ? Any of the two ? Or any third one ? If any suggestion comes it will be a great help for me.
I am using Oracle 8x,9x10g
and the OSs are Unix AIX, Windows etc

It really depends on what you mean by 'Administer the database', 'Database Administrator Tool' and so on. In other words, it depends on what you really want to accomplish.
Many people want a tool to put up pretty pictures and respond to mouse clicks to 'do things'. There are a fair number of tools that accomplish this very well.
TOAD was originally for developers (hence the name Tool for Oracle Application Developer), but it has expanded dramatically to include a number of DBA capabilities. Quest, BMC, Computer Associates and others have excellent tools that are heavily into the 'draw a picture and lead the budding DBA in complacency'.
Even Oracle Enterprise Manager is great from that perspective AND it's free!!! Well, except that you license and pay for the add-on packs that make it truly useful.
To paraphrase Nicolas - the best DBA tool is an intelligent DBA using SQLPlus. All other tools will lead down the path that the tool developer has decided to use. Which may be right for some of the time, but is rarely right all the time, and rarely completely right for the latest and greatest releases of Oracle.

What is the "best" internal hard drive compatible with macbook pro 13.3" product number: MD101LL/A that does not damage OS?

I'm looking for an upgrade in space ( 750gb - 1 TB) and performance on the hard drive, but I have read in many forums that many "compatible" hard drives may damage the OS. I plan on installing bootcampt with Windows 7 and the latest Mac OS. I'm wondering if anyone has updated their HD and if they've experienced any problems with it, or if anyone has any suggestions. Hi Everyone,
I just saw this message for the first time tonight. Does anyone know what it really indicates?
"An unexpected internal application error has occurred. Please get in contact with <MyCompanyName> and provide reference# for further investigation."
This message doesn't look familiar to me at all. I don't know where Apex is getting my company name from. Any ideas?

Hi Kim,
I assume you are using the Sample Database Application or similar app. This message is displayed by the "Error Handling Function" of the application. Go to "Edit Application Properties" -> "Error Handling" -> "Error Handling Function". The referenced function is a stored function or package in the database which contains the necessary code to handle error in application. It allows you to map errors to a new error text. I am an SAP BASIS administrator. I have never worked on any CRM system.
Now a days people in market talk much about wheather you have worked on CRM.
I have no idea how CRM basis administration is different from the basis administartion of other products based on netweaver.

From my experience, in practical field most of the issues you will face with qRFC/BDoc message flow handling and JAVA stack administration. Stress on these two areas and go through the guides, CRM admin won't be a major issue.
Once you go through the basic operation guides and start working on the system then you will come to know there exists many CRM specific trx(SMW02,SMWP..etc) codes and CRM related tables(CRMPAROLTP,CRMRFCPAR.. etc),bgd jobs/reports - which you have to take care at times.

I think you mix up APEX and database users.
Reset APEX admin user password, use apxchpwd.sql script from APEX install files

I fix Iphones all the time and i know that the iphone 4 in Verizon and AT&T are the same from the outward eye ( other then the sim trey and some antena placements) but the Iphone 4s is the EXACT same in both companies...right?

Physically they are the same. The CDMA radio is disabled in the AT&T phone. The Verizon iPhone 4S, even with the SIM slot unlocked by Verizon, can never use any US network other than Verizon.

I do have access as the APEX Internal Administrator. I do not have any DBA user on the database.
How can I give a new privilege to an existing schema?

APEX do not provide any tool for that.
If you do not have any user that can grant that privilege to other users, then you need contact e.g. DBA.

D'Oh! I kicked myself out of the APEX Administration. Help!

Hi,
i did a terrible mistake.
While i was clicking around in the APEX Internal Workspace i changed the Value of "Disable Administrator Login" (I don't know if this is the correct description in english) from NO to YES.
Now i can't change that value back because i can't login into the admin page and the workspace login doesn't work either. I get a white screen when i try to login to server/pls/htmldb or server/pls/htmldb/htmldb_admin.
The applications are still working.
How can i reverse that stupid action?
Please help!

APEX Listener Administration not really context-sensitive

Hello APEX Listener Development Team,
in {thread:id=2297381} a problem regarding the APEX Listener Administration has been discovered:
Once logged in, e.g. into the view to be accessed by +/apex/listenerStatus+ with correct credentials, it doesn't matter which other view I call (tried both listenerAdmin and listenerConfigure ), I'll always get back to the view for listenerStatus . This even happens when I explicitly hit the "Close" button of the listenerStatus . I'd expect the following behaviour:
1. When calling a different context (view), there should be a different Authentication Realm so the credentials supplied in the other context don't get resubmitted by the browser.
2. When using the "Close" button, the Authentication should be reset. I know this might be difficult regarding different treatment of Basic Authentication in different browsers, but perhaps it would be possible to add a kind of session state into the authentication realm, so the browser would re-run the dialog for a different session.
If further information is needed, I'll be glad to provide any help I can. If I have a wrong sight on this, please correct me.

Yes it will use localhost based on what machine you are using. So, you can either put in the real machine name or IP or just ignore the validation.
