i have uploaded customer and thier sites data but now need to upload customer sites contact data,i have searched but still
unable to find contact api,
could you please have any idea to upload contact data api.

I was going through the cutover activities , and what I understood is we transfer all the legacy system data into SAP before going live
The data upload follows certain steps (depends on the organizational design load strategies)
First we upload all the master data ( material master, BOM, W/C's & Routings)
Then the transaction data ( Ideally speaking, there should no open orders i.e. WIP as on the day of cutoff )
If the WIP (Work in Process) is unavoidable then the materials consumed shall be treated as materials of the previous stage and necessary adjustments shall be made after cutover day
At this point, I could not able to understand what does the author mean materials of the previous stage
Now comming to the uploading of data into SAP from legacy system, we use tools like LSMW, CATT & BDC
Is it a must to use only LSMW tool to upload master data or any other upload tools are fine
Lastly,. I am not sure about the Tcode of CATT & BDC
Summary of the questions:
1.What does the author mean material of previous stage, for WIP materials during cutover activities
2. Is it mandatory to use only LSMW tool for uploading for master data
3. What are the Tcodes for upload tools CATT & BDC ?

1.What does the author mean material of previous stage, for WIP materials during cutover activities - as i understood, what is the stage of material..like it must have gone through 2 work centers and other 2 is left. i.e. you need to create Production order with only 2 operation as other 2 is already over. - usually it is done in such a way that we will create Production order and confirm till 2 operations and WIp is calculated so thatb FI will tally the books in SAP and lagacy.
2. Is it mandatory to use only LSMW tool for uploading for master data - no you can use any tool as required and suits yr requirement
3. What are the Tcodes for upload tools CATT & BDC- BDC through a prog in SE38. CATT through - SCEM.

What's the process of uploading videos to youtube?

This might sound like a silly question... but what is the process of uploading videos to youtube?
Does the video get processed into youtube friendly format and then get uploaded to youtube?
So therefore, no re-processing is required on youtube? And therefore the video appears intantly after upload
This has been what I have experienced
Or does the video still need to be processed by youtube as well?
If the above is true... then I think the best way to do the work is to process the video on my laptop and output in best format
And ONLY then upload to youtube
From experience, I've found this takes time for the video to be processed and then published on youtube
Problem: I've had about 40 videos, all of about 1 minute 30 seconds uploading from FCPX
I left overnight. he queue is STILL processing
I'd rather have youtube process and use up their CPU power!

Encode before you upload use the share function or better with Compressor (export master file anad let Compressor encode with youtube preset and upload that file via Safari or the Uploader

It all depends on how we configure the system. Errors may be different for different scenerios like
User ALEROMOTE Loacked for master data's
Data Sourcs has to be replicated
Activation Failures
Error occures in data Selection Etc.
Do you have any specific error so that we can work on that.

Both upload and ws_upload does the same functionality, that is transfere data from presentation server to application server or from PC to SAP system(to an internal table).
There are very few difference between the two.
1 Upload requires a User Interaction for uploading i.e., user has to respond to the dialog boxes that appear WS_Upload does not. You just need to specify the file location in the function input parameters itself.
2 upload - u can give the file in run time wsupload - u have to give in Function module
3 upload is meant to be used by abappers. ws_upload is meant to be called by SAP. It is not a standard ABAP command.
4 ws_upload is Obsolete : No longer supported by SAP. Use GUI_UPLOAD instead.
The fm WS_UPLOAD was the first version of fm to get a file from presentation server, now from 4.6 it's obsolete, the new fm is GUI_UPLOAD.
The fm UPLOAD is the fm used in several applications, like ABAP editor, to upload the file.
In the some versions (it depends on patch level) UPLOAD can call WS_UPLOAD (or GUI_UPLOAD).
Last but not the least, 'upload' internally calls 'ws_upload', that's the difference.

I know how to change the description of a material using ALE Change Pointers.
I will give the following few steps
1) Tcode BD61---> check the change pointers activated check box
save and goback.
2) Tcode BD50---> check the MATMAS check box save and comeback.
3) Tcode BD51---> goto IDOC_INPUT_MATMAS01 select the checkbox save and comeback.
4) Tcode BD52---> give message type : matmas press ok button.
select all what ever you want and delete remaining fields.
save & come back.
5) 5) go to Tcode MM02 select one material and try to change the description and save it
it will effects the target systems material desciption will also changes
6) goto Tcode SE38 give program Name is : RBDMIDOC and Execute
give Message type : MATMAS and Executte

30 Error --> Idoc ready for dispatch(ALE Service)

Hello Avinav,
In CRM 6.0 and 7.0 GUI is no more used, you can use WEB UI and login using SALESPRO role to create a contact.
1. Logon to CRM web UI
2. Choose Create Contact from the Navigation bar
3. Enter all the data - Title, first name, last name, account id,
street, stree2, street3, street4, street5, city, postal code, email,
mobile no and website.
4. Press the Save key.

I am writing and reading values in OPC Server through data socket. What is the purpose of open/close connection data socket when writing /reading a value? Without the open/close connection element, it still work correctly. I am writing values in the server thru event stucture.I do not need any buffered reading or writing. What will happen if I didnt not use the open/close connection? Maybe it may cause some problems in my program which i didnt realise?

1. Not good. since with every iteration the DS connection needs to be opened and closed.
2. Good. Since you open the connection only once then do the reads and close it afterwords.
