What is the best air printer for iPad 3?

I don't have a home office - nor do I have any experience in printers the way some reviewers do. When it comes to printing, all I care is that it actually prints and doesn't jam.
Printers are so inexpensive these days and my old printer was a great Cannon that did it's job - cost about 80 bucks when I purchased. Then I bought an iPad and tried ALL the free printing apps - and even paid for an app that swore it would work with any printer. NOPE.
So, when this printer came up to test - I jumped on it! WOW. Not only is it so easy to set up, even I can do it (didn't even need the disk). It prints anywhere from my iPad and my iPhone. I also love the double sided printing and never realized how much double siding printing I actually do. It's great for long recipes. The photo aspect of it is sharp and clear. I LOVE The scanner and though I rarely use a fax - it's nice to know it's available so I don't have to drive to my local media store. For the price - it's amazing.
It's also super fast compared to my Cannon and super quiet.

I use an Epson NX430 (inkjet) which uses a wireless card: no issues. Also a Brother HL-3040 (laser) connected to modem by Ethernet cable: no issues. Depends on your printing needs and amount of work space available.

Hello.
In order to use the printer with your iOS devices, please make sure that the units are all connected to the same WI-Fi router. Once this has been done you should be able to print.
The initial Wi-Fi setup of the MG3222 would have to be done from a compatible Windows or Mac OSX computer.

Hello, just looking for advice on the best Canon printer for printing on 7 x 10" cardstock.
I want:
a toploading (or rear loading)
inkjet
prints easily on cardstock
able to set custom size paper size (7X10")
not expensive!
Giving up on HPs, and reading that Canon printers do well with heavier stock. Any advice/opinion is welcome. THANK YOU!!

They mostly kind of work.
Look at skyfire, photon, iswifter, puffin.

Settings/Control Center. There are two options which are pretty self-explanitory...one enables/disables access on the Lock Screen and one enables/disables access within apps/games.

Air Printing from an iPad

I'm looking for a mobile, chargable, 'airprint' enabled printer for my iPad Air. By "mobile" i mean about the size of a keyboard or smaller. Anyone know of anything close to this?

The iPad and Airprint printer must be on the same Wifi network. If you don't have a Wifi network, you won't be able to use AirPrint. In other words, the iPad does not communicate directly with the printer.
Regarding the AEX, you may be able to use it to set up a small Wifi network, from which you could connect the iPad and the Artisan 730 via AirPrint. One potential issue is that you likely will have to upgrade the firmware in the Printer in order to use AirPrint, and you would need internet access to get that upgrade. Since you do not own a computer, I assume you do not have internet access either?

You would need to share the printer to make it available to the app (locate the printer in printers & faxes right click the printer and select share from the content menu)

What is the best wireless printer for new iMac w/Lion?

I just bought an iMac (Lion) and now, I need to buy a new printer since my old one is not wireless capable (HP Photosmart C5280 All-in-One). My old G4 is still up and running (using it only for Adobe CS2 until can afford that upgrade) and the printer works fine. However, the iMac will not be in the same place as the G4, so I need a wireless printer.
I would also like the new printer to play nice with a PC laptop (husband's for work) as well as be able to eventually print from an iTouch and iPad.
I may be asking a lot, I know.
I would buy AirPort if I knew it worked with my current printer, which would be great... but from what I've been able to research, that isn't possible with this model. I will eventually end up buying AirPort at some point in the future, but right now a printer is my focus and I would prefer not to buy both right now.

Whatever you do - do not by the HP8500. I am about to take a baseball bat to mine and bett the living daylights out of it. I used to have a 6500, reasonably god but slow and woudl not scan when linked to the mac...so I 'upgraded'.
Initially it worked well, quality is good and did everything well ....it still will not scan with the mac but will with every other lap top/PC in my house..but hat did not bother me too much. It is fast and quality is good...UNTIL
- It drinks ink faster than than you can imagine
- you cannot buy non hp replacement cartridges easily and not from Staples of PC World etc
- It sense that ink is running down so keeps sending annoying messages
- if you use a non std cartridge it registers it as empty and send more annoying messages
- the cartridges cost about £50 to replace al four - you can buy a new kodak all in one printer for £55
- it will print perfectly well with non HP or HP remanu cartridges, but still sends the dumb messages
- when using HP catridges it keeps telling you to replace them even though they are not empty and theres plenety of ink (marketing scam)
- This morning, the printer decided that the new (non HP magenta cartridge) that put in yesterday and was quite happy with ...is now empty...it refuse to print even black until i replace that cartridge.
I have no problem buying HP catridges if the price is fine - but the combination of a software blip plus high prices make me seethe. I will destroy this piece of junk and buy myself a Kodak or Brother - but never ever again an HP product - having spent over £3000 on PC/Laptops and printers from these bozos over the last two years they can count me out from next years forecasts

I'm currently trying to choose a great multifunction printer for our small office and I need advice on what brands are "fully" compatible with Mac OSX 10.4 and higher. I would like to know what your experiences are with certain brands and models.
In my particular situation I have a list of requirements in order of importance:
1. fully compatible with the Mac OSX 10.4 (and higher) operating system.
2. affordable (that's very subjective but for me that would mean something below US$600)
3. monochromatic laser printing
4. network printing: LAN or wifi (wifi preferable? are there disadvantages?)
5. duplex printing
6. duplex copying
7. +/- 30 ppm or cpm
8. scan to ftp or to hard disk (without the need for additional software preferable)

Yes! As a matter of fact, I just got an Epson Artisan 837, 2 days ago. Set up was a breeze and I already printed from my Imac, Ipad and Iphone. It works great! The scan quality is pretty decent too and you can also print CD's! I can't wait to use that feature :-D. However, the photo quality was not as good as advertised. I found that the printer gives me very dark pictures. I had to go back to editing my pictures further and increase lighting to have a good photo. I'm using left over HP photo paper I had from my previous Photosmart 8250 -which produced very good pictures-. I'll purchase Epson paper to see if it makes a difference. I haven't used the fax feature yet, but I'm sure it works fine. I think the printer is very fast and very user friendly. Nevertheless, it is a big brinter; Thus, hope you have the space for it.
Overall, I think it is a good printer for the money. I got it on sale at Office Depot and it is also an energy star printer. Hope this helps!

When I air print from my iPad, I can't limit the number of pages. It just says print and the number of copies and I end up with way more than I want. How do I set it to limit the pages?

When I air print using FingerPrint from my ipad, it doesn't let me limit the number of pages, and I end up with more pages than I want. It asks if I want multiple copies, but it doesn't ask me number of pages, or which pages. Is there a way to do this?

When you use an AirPrint compatible printer, you get this option for page range. You are using your computer as the server in order to print, so you probably have to set the range on the computer. While you can print from your printer with this app, I assume that it doesn't give you the same control that you get directly from the iPad when using an AirPrint printer.
Read this from the FingerPrint support site. Selecting the page range would be part of the formatting of a print job.
