What is the best all-in-one printer out there today

I have a home office. I have been running either Canon or Epson printers for years. My Canon MP830 is dying - I am getting a blac stripe down the middle of every paper. I need a new all-in-one printer. I want it to work wirelessly and the ink should be reasonably priced. I need it to scan easily and print in both color and black & white. I do not print photos too often it is mostly day-to-day stuff so it does not have to have the higest quality output. I looked at the Apple Store and Apple seems to be recommending Epson. But Apple seems to go through stages ... a couple of years ago it was almost exclusively Canon. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi all, I very specifically put what was important to me and my needs in this post. I am looking for opinions and experiences from other Mac users. I also read reviews but those cna be influenced by advertisers. That is why I am posting in this discussion group - to get feedback from like-minded users. Postings from my fellow Apple users that tell me if someone has actually purchased an Epson 545 and truly likes it, or was dissappointed in their HP, or has some issues with their Canon ... all of that will be helpful. My old Epson Stylus Color 777i has just died. I need to buy a new printer/scanner/copier and ideally, a photolab. Which is the best one which is compatible with my eMac? I have Mac OS 10.3.9. Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I saw a great all-in-one advertised on a homeshopping network but can't remember which one it was and whether or not it was compatible with Macs. It even had 4 separate inkjet cartridges so you don't have to replace the whole color cartridge and waste leftover ink! And it could take at least 4-5 different digital camera cartridges too. I want to thank all of you who responded to my question. I had to buy something quickly (within a day or 2 of posting) and most of your recommendations were not in stock at my local stores. Which probably means others have had success with them too and they can't keep them in stock for any length of time. I ended up buying a Brother MFC-5840CN. A 6-in-one: copier, printer, fax, scanner, photolab and photolab w/computer and it has 4 separate inkjet cartridges. And the day I bought it was the last day of a sale. Good timing! I've done a LOT of printing on this thing in the past 2-1/2 months and I have yet to run out of any of the original ink!! I'm impressed so far!
Anyway, just wanted to thank all of you who gave me your input. I researched all of the ones you suggested and had to go with quick availability as well as the 4 separate inkjet cartridges as well as price ($150 or under, if at all possible).

All of the reviews by the media and users contradict each other leaving me very indecisive. I was thinking about the Epson Workforce 645 but one review said it wasn't compatible with Lion (and who knows if it will be compatible with Mountain Lion?). Does anyone have a newer model all in one that they love? I plan to use it with my macbook pro and use a wireless airport connection. Thanks

All printer manufacturer's play "catch-up" with OS revisions. If a printer doesn't work immediately with the latest OS, you should check the manufacturer's website. Here's a laugh: I purchased an Epson EPL-5700i monochrome laser printer a dozen years ago, for "only" $500. With all of the changes in Macs and the OS, I've never been not able to use the printer. Either Apple or the vendor has made printer driver software available seamlessly.

There is no such thing. If there were, nobody would bother writing different applications. If you are primarily focused on still image editing and video, Adobe Production Premium is the way to go. You can find any number of tutorials just by searching Google and many good ones are linked from the Adobe help systems as well.

That's a difficult one but I'd always go for HP as they make so many excellent models that you'll always be able to buy the cartridges from almost anyone. Theyre darn good printer too. I have four in the office here and one of them is a very neat flatbed with exceptionally high tonal qualities. One of their cheaper models is the HP 5520 A4 inkjet all-in-one - CMYK. Good value at £70 and 4800 x 1200 DPI.

Re-install software for the C6280 all in one printer... get an error message "can't find file"

need to re-install the software for the c6280 all in one printer. downloaded the latest install package from the HP web site. During the install process, I get an error message .. can't find user/appdata/local/temp/7z256315/setup/.....setup/blocksysuser........
the folder 7z256315 does not exist on the HD.
I also get a message that it can't find PS_A10_02_software.msi.
Windows 7 , C6280 all in one printer. Printer is connected to the router. The desktop computer is connected via an ethernet cable, the laptop/ipad/iphone/internet radio are connected via wireless to the router.

Follow the steps below, and let me know what happens?
Step one: Clear temp directory
Type %temp% in the run or search for programs and files field
Highlight all the files in this folder, and then press the delete key to delete. If you get a message that the file is in use you will need to skip this file(s).
Continue with Step 2 below
Step two: Downloaded and extracted to your system:
1. Download the full feature software and drivers

2. Once the download is finished double click on the file to extract the software.
3. When the installation window opens press the cancel button to stop the installation
4. Type %temp% in the run or search for programs and files field
5. Look for, and open the folder starting with 7z (Example: 7zS2356)
6. Right click on the folder, and select Copy
7. Close that window, and all your open windows, and then in the middle of the desktop right click your mouse, and select Paste. This will move the 7z folder to your desktop.
8. Open the 7z folder you just copied to your desktop
9. Open folder Util
10. Open folder CCC
11. Run the uninstall_L4
12. When the uninstall has completed restart the computer
13. Run Disk cleanup from Accessories\ System Tools folder under all programs
14. Download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player

15. Open the 7z folder, and then double click on the Setup.exe file which will be toward the bottom of the open window. Follow the on screen instructions to reinstall your printer.

Ink Cartridge problem with the 7525 all in one printer

I put all new cartridges in the 7525 all in one printer and it keeps telling me that the cyan cartridge is damaged. also the ink levels on the new cartridges are not appearing full. they are all new HP cartridges.

Is the 2710 all-in-one printer supported/compatible to Windows 7? It was on a XP, however hard drive is crashing and need to see if I may need to buy another all in one printer or able to keep my 2710.

HP recommends that you use genuine HP cartridges. HP cannot guarantee the quality or reliability of non-HP cartridges, or refilled HP cartridges.
Well that being said about the cartridge, I would try a power reset like this:
With the power on, open the ink access door. Remove the power from the printer. Remove the ink cartridge and close the cover. Wait at least 30 seconds then reconnect the power cord to the printer. Turn the printer on. Open the access door and insert the cartridge. That may clear up the issue, if not well.......

personally avoid scaling, especially filling up user window.
more and more really high resolution monitors out there,
the larger the screen the more CPU it sucks...
Don't follow the exact screen size like 800x600 as it is
never the
browser ratio, must consider the browser chromes.
I will design something within that size or slightly larger
and use the
around margin to incorporate graphics as part of the design.
Sometimes even smaller than that and centralized. Depends on
amount
of content.

By now, you have probably discovered that the L7780 does not use a toner but cartridges. It actually uses 4 HP 88's. They are black, magenta, yellow and cyan. Usually, black is the first to be replaced. They can be found at Staples, Office Depot and Best Buy.

The best way is to use an Antivirus application and some Anti malware and Trojan applications.
You use already the Norton Antivirus program. This is great. Be sure that this application is always up-to-date.
Additional you could install Adaware. This is freeware tool and it scans your OS for malware.
But the virus or malware is not always a reason for an OS freezing.
Please check your processes which are running in the OS background. You can use additionally the application called CClean.
It scans you OS for troubles and repair the registry.
