What is the best method to reduce the Render size?

hi,
my movie files which i want to edit come to a total of 4GB and when i edit the movie and render the files it comes to a size of 20GB!..thats way to large and will take forever to compressor or export to a another format.
What do you guys recommend i do?..is it something to do with the timeline when i start a new file?.

do you mean that the VOB files totalled at 4gig, and that the converted files, the .mov's are 20gig?
Firstly, .mov doesn't really help in terms of describing the codec/format the media file is in... the '.mov' extension is a container/wrapper, not the codec. In the Final Cut Pro browser window it will tell you the actual codec (look for the colomn headed 'compressor').
The VOB files you converted are from a DVD, so by default, are compressed and small...
Now, assuming the codec is DV (pal) it would make sense that your files have gone from 4 to 20 gig's...
Unless i've totally misunderstood your problem...

    If you place in Muse - an image with either height or width larger than 2048 pixels - Muse scales the image down proportionately, limiting the larger dimension to 2048.
    However, if you want to use the placed image at its original size, you can scale the image up to desired size either by dragging the resizing handles or by entering Height and Width values in the Control Strip on top. After that, go to the Assets panel and locate the image in there, then right click that image in Assets panel and choose "Import Larger Size". That would bring back the lost image information from the original image.
    Hope this gives you clarity on what you wanted to know.

  • What is the max size of HDD I can use in my dc7600 CMT

    I am using an HP dc7600 CMT which is working fine after upgrading to a Samsung 128GB SSD, Intel Pentium D 3.4 GHz, 4GB RAM, and an AMD Radeon HD 6450. I am running Win 8.1 Pro x64, with the most recent upgrade, and have absolutely no problems. I now want to add a second internal HDD, and wonder what is the max size  I can go to. Can I go to 2TB, or am I limited to a lower figure? 1TB? 500GB? 250GB?
    Will be glad for some help here, especially if it has been actually tried in practice.
    Thanks in advance.

    You're very welcome.
    Yes, they are very nice machines.
    What a jump in performance when I swapped out the Pentium 4 620 mine had, for the PD 945, and tossed in 4 GB of memory.
    That box will also run the Radeon HD 6570 with no problem too, which is what I put in mine.
    The downside of that model is that there are no settings for ahci or raid.
    I own or have owned every CMT since the d510 with the exception of the dc7900.
    My main PC is now the 8200 Elite CMT which I installed W8.1 on.
    It has an i7-2600 processor and 32 GB of memory, 1 TB SATA III hard drive.
    I threw in a Radeon HD 6670 in that one.

  • What's the maximum size and length that go onto a DVD

    I'm trying to put a whole load of home videos onto DVDs. What is the maximum size that can be burnt onto a DVD. There are a lot of hours on here, about 15 and I was hoping to try and get about 3 hours per DVD is this possible?
    Thanks
    Tom

    If you're referring to a video DVD which will plan on a TV set via a DVD player then a single layer DVD disk can hold 120 minutes of playing time which includes the basic material and any animated menus in the project.
    A double layer disk can hold 240 minutes.
    If you are creating a data disk with the files copied to it then its a matter of grouping the files into batches of either slightly less than 4.7 GB for single layer and 9.4 GB for double layer.
    if you're referring to  video DVD discs follow this workflow to help assure the best qualty video DVD:
    Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image  menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
    To check the encoding mount the disk image, launch DVD Player and play it.  If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding is good.
    Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality.  Always use top quality media:  Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.

  • What is the maximum size a sender SOAP adapter can handle?

    Hi,
    I am using sender SOAP adapter and receiver RFC adapter.
    What is the maximum size of request message it can handle efficiently.
    In the current scenario which I need to design , the request XML file could be up to 24 MB.
    Also if you could comment on which would be the best to use as the sender side - SOAP or File Adapter
    when the request message/file is of such size?
    regards
    Arun G

    hi,
    >What is the maximum size of request message it can handle efficiently.
    it totally depends on your hardware and flow design inside XI/PI
    >In the current scenario which I need to design , the request XML file could be up to 24 MB.
    this size is not a lot for a "normal" XI machine but it also depends on the
    volume of those messages - that is if you need to send
    one message like that per day or 1000 per half an hour...
    >Also if you could comment on which would be the best to use as the sender side - SOAP or File Adapter
    when the request message/file is of such size?
    SAP's general recommendation is to use messages around 5mb
    but it heavily depends on other factors so don't threat it as a must

  • What is the maximum size of a .swf flash file that can be created for DMM

    Please help,
    I am running DMM 5.2.1 and was wondering what is the maximum size of a .swf file that can be created and play SMOOTHLY on the screens (screen dimension 1366 x 768px).
    Kind regards.

    Hi Nicholas,
    You can refer to the content creation best practices documented at the following link:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/video/digital_media_systems/5_x/5_2/dmd/best/practices/guidelines.html#wp1168116
    As you can read there:
    - if the SWF file size is greater than 500KB, you may start to see high memory consumption on the DMP.
    - regarding resolutions, the SWF can be up to 1920 x 1080 when animations within the SWF are small and are restricted to a 640x480 region.

  • What is the Exact Size of the Company Logo?

    Hi DBA's
    Can anybody tell me What is the Exact Size of the Company Logo for my login page of the Ebussiness Suit R12.1.1.
    Best Regards,
    SG

    Do you mean Exact size in dimensions(width/height) or size of the picture?
    For the size there is no max limit on the image but better to take the lightest image size in jpg, gif or png formats.
    And for the dimensions there is no limit.

  • What is the actual size of an (empty) varray in a record?

    what is the actual size occupied by an (empty) varray in a record?
    For example, if I create my table defined as:
    create or replace type XXX as object (
    myRefs VARRAY(10) of REF(yyy)
    create table YYY as XXX;
    what is the actual size of the record of type XXX when 'myRefs' is empty? For some reason, select data_length from all_tab_cols where table_name = YYY seems always to return 3K as the length of column myrefs.... is that correct? If not, what is the correct size?

    A tad late here...
    Storage sizes of REF attributes are described here:
    [Design Considerations for REFs - Storage Size of REFs|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/appdev.112/e11822/adobjdes.htm#i452226]
    The size of your REF attribute (or element, in your case) will depend on whether it is primary key-based or system-generated, whether it is scoped or not, and whether it carries with it a rowid hint. The overall size of your VARRAY attribute as it grows will also depend on whether you allow null REF values or not, but essentially will be the size of your REF multiplied times the number of elements in your VARRAY (plus a small, constant amount of storage for internal housekeeping, both for the attribute and for each element).
    You could try the VSIZE function as an appromixation...

  • What is the maximum size for mailbox per user (Exchange 2007)

    Hello,
    I'd like to know:
    What is the maximum size per mailbox, and is it not recommended to exceed 3 GB and about the items how many is the maximum per folder (inbox, .. )
    I've Exchange 2007 SP2, Outlook 2007 and 2010.
    Thank you.

    Hi
    There is no size limit on mailboxes up to the maximum size of your database.  I normally recommend 2GB mailbox limits if you have some form of archiving in place.  If you have no archiving in place then the limit should be set at the amount of
    data people need to keep - it is not a good idea for people to store mail in PST files because there is a limit on their mailbox.
    See this article for item count recommendations:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/905803
    Also you need to upgrade your Exchange 2007 server to SP3 ... SP2 has been out of support for nearly 3 years already:

    No, in terms of Mail.app. As WZZZ said, this limit is set by your ISP.
    Yes, in terms of netiquette. Google it. Any file > 1MB is, IMHO, too big for e-mail. Nowadays, this rule may be more relaxed, because more people have broadband. You should check with your intended recipient.

  • What's the maximum size.......

    What's the maximum size of an ImageIcon to be supported by a Label???
    I'm trying to show a 3.5 Mb image and doesn't show it. But a 1 Mb does....
    Can anyone tell me why this happens???

    Well maybe you have to set the size of the Label to the size of the Image - use setPreferredSize() to set the size of the label....
    otherwise you can do something like this :
    //Get the Icon
    icon =
    new ImageIcon(YourFrame.class.getClassLoader().getResource(
                   "/images/yourImage"));
    //Get he Width of the Label on which the Image is placed
    int width = imageLabel.getSize().width;
    //Get the height of the label on which the Image is placed
    int height = imageLabel.getSize().height;
    //Get the Scaled image
    Image scaledImage = image.getScaledInstance(width,height,Image.SCALESMOOTH);
    //Set the Image of the Icon
    icon.setImage(scaledImage);
    //Update the Image Label
    imageLabel.updateUI();

    What's the maximum size of data a coherence cluster can hold before it starts noticing a degradation in performance?
    Assume a partitioned topology is used with only one backup for each partition.

    Hi,
    Coherence partitioned cache is designed for linear scalability and it does it quite well. I don't see any reasons of performance degrations with increase in data size given, you have enough cores and memory for processing the requests and managing the data.

  • What's the maximum size a varchar2  variable can hold for and NDS Stmnt?

    What's the maximum size a varchar2 variable can hold for and NDS Statement? I read that NDS is good for doing EXECUTE IMMEDIATE on statements that aren't too big. The 10g PL/SQL manual recommends using DBMS_SQL for statements that are too large, but it never gave a limit for what too large was. Does anyone know offhand?

    The limit is the same as the length of varchar2 variable within PL/SQL - that is varchar2(32767).It's not documented, but intermediate concatenation result can hold up to (64k-1) :
    Connected to:
    Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.8.0 - Production
    declare
      part1 varchar2(32767) := rpad('begin null;', 32767);
      part2 varchar2(32767) := lpad('end;',        32767);
    begin
      dbms_output.put_line(length(part1 || ' ' || /*' ' ||*/ part2));
      execute immediate part1 || ' ' || part2;
    end;
    65535
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.

  • What is the max size of a zip file with the JDK1.5 ?

    Hello everybody,
    I'm a french student and for a project, I need to create a zip file, but I don't know in advance the number and the size of files to include in my zip.
    I wish to know if someone have the answer to my question : what is the max size of a zip file with the JDK1.5 ? I believe that with the JDK1.3, the limit size of a zip was about 2Go, wasn't ?
    Thank you for all answer !
    Good day !
    PS : sorry for my very poor english ;-)

    Here is all I have found for the moment :
    ...Okay, what about my suggestion of creating your own 10GB file?
    Try this:import java.io.File;
    import java.io.RandomAccessFile;
    import java.nio.ByteBuffer;
    import java.nio.channels.FileChannel;
    import java.util.Random;
    class Main {

            long start = System.currentTimeMillis();
            int mbs = 1024;
            writeFile("E:/Temp/data/1GB.dat", mbs);
            long end = System.currentTimeMillis();
            System.out.println("Done writing "+mbs+" MB's to disk in "+
                    ((end-start)/1000)+" seconds.");
        private static void writeFile(String fileName, int numMegaBytes) {
            try {
                int numBytes = numMegaBytes*1024*1024;
                File file = new File(fileName);
                FileChannel rwChannel =
                        new RandomAccessFile(file, "rw").getChannel();
                ByteBuffer buffer = rwChannel.map(
                        FileChannel.MapMode.READ_WRITE, 0, numBytes);
                Random rand = new Random();
                for(int i = 1; i <= numMegaBytes; i++) {
                    for(int j = 1; j <= 1024; j++) {
                        byte[] bytes = new byte[1024];
                        rand.nextBytes(bytes);
                        buffer.put(bytes);
                rwChannel.close();
            } catch(Exception e) {
                e.printStackTrace();
    }On my machine it took me 43 seconds to create a 1GB file, so it shouldn't take too long to create your own 10GB. Then try zipping that file.
    Good luck.
