Anybody know what is a good router to get a good sync to the exchange with.

I would have to along with Peggypurecust on this one. Certainly, on my long and aluminium-rich noise-ridden line, Netgear DG834 series routers perform very well. They are also perfect if you need to run RouterStats to gather some data.
That said, the BT BusinessHub 2-Wire 2700HGV works more consistently for me when there is a lot of interference about. Over the last year or so, I've run the 2-Wire over the winter and a Netgear DG834PN in the summer. Others swear by Billion routers, or those from other manufacturers.
Your best bet might be to borrow a few from geeky friends and see which works best for you. By and large, routers that allow telnet can be the most versatile.

You need dual band adapters also for getting benefit of 5Ghz band(and N standard receivers to get benefit of N standard). So i think WRT350N will be next to best for your network, or you can get WRT600N and so that in future if you get adapters like WEC600N, it would work best with them.

The Time Capsule is a wireless router, but it does not have a modem on board, so you will need a modem to be able to connect to the Internet.
The "best" modem to use is probably one that your Internet Service Provider supplies, since you know that it will be supported in the event of difficulties. Often, an ISP will give you a modem free of charge with a commitment for a year or more of Internet service.

You really should take this up on a Windows networking forum. Your question wouldn't appear to have anything to do with iTunes, per se. But answering quickly, when it comes to Internet connection speed, it won't matter whether you get an 802.11g router or an 802.11n router (or even an 802.11b router, for that matter). Any of those wireless data rates will be significantly faster than any Internet connection any of us normal people can obtain. Router speed will only matter for data transfer between computers on your own network.

Alright, at the moment I have a "G" wireless router, which I bought it for pure gaming reasons, well I am thinking about upgrading 'cause I am having some lag and poor connections and I want to enhance my connection for online play. I started shopping for a wired router to handle a claimed higher speed from my cable provider. I want something that runs at full incoming wire speed. I did not think I would care a lot about special gaming features. One of the techs at work uses the GamerLounge which is made by D-Link and he loves it for gaming. It runs a little over $100. It has a number of features to help automate the setup for gaming and to help debug gaming connection problems. I do not know if Linksys makes anything that is specifically targetted at gaming. You might want to read the various hardware reviews and decide which features you think will be important to you. Linksys has product documentation that describes the products but you will have to understand the terms used in the brochures to decide which device might be best for you. I have a Linksys for wireless support and it is rather slow compared to a wired connection because I run encrypted. If you want to run games on wireless, then published benchmark results may be the number one item on your list. Some routers may have much faster wireless performance than others. Cost will probably be a factor but more expensive does not always mean better. I have a WRT54G V5 and Tom's Hardware has a review discussing some of the serious limitations in V5. I stopped using it as a main router and went back to an old 10 Mbps wired router connected to the cable modem to get better performance. The WRT54G V5 sort of works when used as a wireless access point but Windows file and printer sharing do not work. So ... it all depends on which features are most important to you. Absolute best case is to talk with a friend who has a working setup that they like. Then you can decide if their priorities for choosing features match your priorities.

What's the best route to install Snow Leopard from 10.5.8

I followed the instructions but the installation killed safari, my ethernet connection, my local apache and my mysql server. I don't know what else was killed when I installed snow leopard, but that was enough to make me decide to try restoring from time machine - which worked out perfectly. A friend suggested I do a scratch install - does anyone on the board have any thoughts? Figured I would reach out in an effort to keep from loosing another day.

Do you have an external drive for making a clone of your 10.5.8 system? If not, I'd get one. Then, I'd make the clone. Next, I do an erase and install of SL on my internal drive. At the end you will be "allowed" to restore your apps, settings, and data from the clone. If things don't work out, then I much rather restore a clone to my internal than to rely on Time Machine--although Time Machine befriended you once. I'd use SuperDuper to make the clone; this program is completely up to date.

What is the best way to upgrade iTunes?

I'm currently running iTunes 8.0.2.20 to work with my iPod Touch 2G and Nano 4G. All is working quite well so I'm rather hesitant about upgrading. But more and more content is requiring an upgrade to the latest iTunes version. If I decide to take the leap, what is the best route for upgrading, ensuring that my music is not lost and that I can revert back to my current version if something goes wrong? I know to backup my library. I try to do that regularly. Should I uninstall my current version and all other Apple associated programs, download new version and install OR do the upgrade from within my current version of iTunes?
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

It is a good idea to back up the library files, iTunes Library.itl and iTunes Music library.xml before upgrading. It shouldn't be necessary but your never know... You may be glad of it if you want to downgrade.
If you want easy downgrading, save the last iTunes set up file if you have it, maybe rename it iTunesseteup8.exe so it isn't overwritten by the new installer.
It is safest not to upgrade from in iTunes.
Download the installer from the Apple site and save it on your PC, then run it from you PC.

The installer takes care of any uninstalling that is needed.

Yes, it shouldn't matter. I just picked up an Airport Express tonight - VERY easy to setup and works like a charm. One caution - Express is a wireless router ONLY. There are no additional wired ports on it for wired systems in your house. You'll take the cable that comes from your DSL modem out of your computer, and put into the port on the Express (if you already have a wired computer). If you need a wired/wireless router, you'll require the Extreme model.

The answer depends on whether the AirPort Extreme is your main router....or...the Linksys device is your main router.
In either case, the two devices must connect together using a wired Ethernet connection using CAT5e or CAT6 cabling.
Any version of the AirPort Extreme produced within the last 5 years will have Gigabit Ethernet ports. In order to get the same speeds from the Linksys router, it will also need to be Gigabit Ethernet capable.
If you need additional Ethernet ports, you will need to add a Gigabit Ethernet switch to either the AirPort Extreme or Linksys router.
It is assumed that your other devices connecting to the AirPort Extreme and Linksys router will also have Gigabit Ethernet capability.
Not sure why you mention "ac" speeds in your post. This relates to wireless connections, not wired.

As you posted it sems that you need good router for wireless connectivity .....
You can go for any N router lile WRT300N.... WRT350N ..... WRT150N ....
They will give you excellent performance for the connection you require.....

I currently use a D-Link Dsl 300T Modem plugged directly into the computer. I used to use it with the airport express, but that went pop and stopped working a few months ago. I'm moving house and will need to set up a wireless network that several computers will be running off. (I used to have problems with the D-link modem when I ran several computers off it before) So could I just by a wireless router with a modem combined instead of buying a new modem and an airport express again? What are the best non Apple wireless routers out there?

what is the best wifi router? I have a netgear which required that I set my devices with static/manual IPs etc... and yet still losing connection at least once a day. Is airport express my best option to connect both apple and PC devices?

Sorry, but that would be difficult to answer. What is best for you will depend on a number of factors, including: current networking hardware, network environment, your budget, etc.
If you are sure that your current Netgear router is not working for you, I would recommend that you first establish you basic networking requirements. That is, what do you want your network to do? What area do you want for Wi-Fi coverage? What can your current networking clients support, both for radio mode (802.11g, 802.11n, or 802.11ac) and wireless encryption types (WEP, WPA, or WPA2)? Will you be streaming HD video content on your local network, and/or from the Internet? What bandwidth (download/upload) is your ISP providing you?
From there we might be able to make sum recommendations.

Just stick with the netgear if you could instead of D-link, a bit pricier is better than pulling your hair out to configure whats wrong...
I use 2 netgear and both work very well. 11b at home and 11 g at the office.
Just remember overtime you might have to set it up the internal configuration (depend on the isp provider) and you might be able to set it up by connect and using pc and with supported web browser like internet explorer to access the web based configuration setting by typing their default ip address.

Please advise me how to automate in a best way to Deploy 10 different applications(.ear/.war)
to 10 different Clusters(containing 40 Managed servers) in wls6.1......and that
too in a Production environment.
I know that we can use weblogic Console to deploy an application BUT if i have
2 unix boxes and each box contains 4-4 clusters(each containing 16-20 managed
servers) .....then i have to open up 2 Admin server consoles to deploy each of
the respective applications and that too deploying these application to 8 clusters.....OR
i can use deploy commad to do the same.
AND if i have like 100 clusters .....then i would have to "deploy" 100 times ......
is there any way that we can BEST AUTOMATE this process.

Thanks Tommy. but i would like to know a very important point here: this is using
the weblogic.utility that you just talkd about.
Suppose iam having an ADMIN server that has say 10 clusters and 50 managed servers
underneath to take care.
1 cluster each = 5 managed server
now iam deploying a simple .war file to say a single managed server, i have found
out that it takes a looot of time to get the application deployed.
what do you say about this situation ?
what is the best approach ??????
