You can use iPhone PC Suite to manage your iPhone photos on your Windows PC, select multiple photos using “Shift” or “Ctrl” shortcut keys, and delete the select photos at one time as using the Windows Explorer.

What's the best way to save an 8.5 x 11 image for use as a page background in a PDF? My goal is to have a relatively small final .pdf file size that includes numerous pages with full 8.5 x 11 images as backgrounds in the document. If I save at 8.5 x 11 and 72dpi (example), the image is not 8.5 x 11, and the quality is not good enough. I need help with size, dpi, and file format to save as before I place it in InDesign and then save as a .pdf.

JimDo exactly what I said then. Create the InDesign document of the required dimension, and chose whether it will be high quality print, or Interactive PDF. It really doesn't mater what format you bring the image into that document. It can be JPG, PNG, but I usually use native Photoshop PSD. The image does have to be of high enough resolution, but it can be many times bigger than iis required for the final export. (InDesign does not import the image, but rather references it on your hard drive.)
When you have placed your text and finished your page, then export it to PDF, but go through the tabs chosing suitable settings. If the image needs to be downsized, InDesign will do that at this stage while building the PDF.
If you can tell us how this presentation will be made (Projector, overhead projector, printed page etc. or just emailed to the end users) we can help you more with the final output settings. -

What is the best way to burn to disk in Encore?? (without using the Blu-ray option)
I am trying to put together a video for my sister (who lives in the UK) of her wedding, that she can watch on her dvd/blu-ray player as a movie with scenes and menus. So, initally, I am using Encore to create menus/scenes and prior to this, used premiere pro to edit sequences and chop up/edit the video. I realise that while i am in premiere pro, I can queue it up and have the option to change the format of my files to AVI, MPEG, H.264 etc to maximise the best quality. I then take that file (or files) and bring them into encore and begin creating my scenes and menus.
Once i am happy with the final result, I then aim to burn this to a disc where i can then send it to her so that she and her newly wed hubby can invite their friends/family around to their place and remember that fabulous day together. Where i am getting stuck is when it comes to burning that file using encore as it only offers to build the project for DVD or Blu-ray. Since i dont have a blu-ray burner, it seems that my only option is to select DVD. Obviously DVD is SD and the resolution for this is 720*480. This doesnt work for me, because once i burn it to dvd, i lose almost half the quality of the original video. I have a few questions here that hopefuly someone can help me with:
1. Whats the point of encoding the timeline in premiere pro to a really high quality file such as H.264 if encore only offers DVD, Blu-ray or Flash? (I mean, why have this if you only have a dvd burner?)
2. Since i dont have a blu-ray burner, is there another way around taking my high res movie and putting it onto a DVD without loss of quality?
3. Is there any other possible way (or settings to use) before burning it to a dvd that i could tweak to avaoid loss of quality?
4. Should i perhaps be using some other way, rather than trying to create an ISO file in encore that will allow me to put this file on a dvd, which will still have a scenes and menu titles? (Meaning, so that it is just not an avi file sitting on a dvd, but rather it actually looks like a movie, with scenes, music in the background etc)?
Feel free to check out the orginial movie i cut up in post production at the link belwo. i did not shoot this vidoe so i am unsure as to what video camera was being used. All i was told, is that it was a fairly modern one (2012 i think). My sister merely sent me all the video and pictures and i just edited it in premiere pro, and now want to send it back to her in a format/way that she can watch it on her television with options to jump to scenes, just like when you watch a dvd movie at home.

Thanks for your help guys.No, you can't burn a DVD with HD resolution files and have DVD or similar style navigation.
The solution is to buy a bluray burner.
The workaround is to create an HD version of the files in Premiere, but for the future. In the meantime, export MPEG2-DVD from Premiere, and use those in Encore for this project. During the export from Premiere is where you downrez and lose quality. Your sister should play this back on a player that supports upscaling. -
What is the best way to import an ANSI as UTF-8 Text file using the import wizard

Thanks!For this I think you may be better off creating SSIS package from Business Intelligence Development Studio rather than using Export Import wizard. You need to convert the code page of columns from 1252 to 65001 for saving it to UTF 8 file. In SSIS you
can use a derived column task for that.

What is the best way to set up one family imac with multiple iphones?
We basically have one imac that we all use (one user account).
We also have our own iphones with our own apple id.
What i would like to get my head around is setting up each iphone individually to use itunes.(i.e music, videos, contacts).
It seems that every time i sync/ update iphone os, via itunes, apps and contacts change. Also today i only just got around to update one of the iphones to ios5. Now all the photos have been deleted???
I would be grateful of any advice, cheers.

suggests using contacts groups.
When syncing contacts, you can choose to sync all of your contacts or only selected groups.
You can select a group of contacts to which all new contacts created on your iOS device will be added.
You can set up groups in the Address Book application.
If you are all going to use the same iTunes apps library, turn off "Automatically sync new apps" in the apps tab just below the list of apps. Then you won't get new apps on your device unless you select them. -

Thanks guys!The only way you're gonna get your contacts into the iPhone contacts app is by syncing them through iTunes, from a supported contact application on your computer, or through an Exchange setup like Gmail. So, you will have to get these contacts into Oulook, Windows Address Book, OS X Address Book or in the "cloud".

For example, I'd like to make an evenly spaced set of images on my main content div. (I don't want to make a table.) I assume I want to start with <li> items inside my html? I am using iMovie 06 (Naturally) with iDVD 08. I have always used;
iMovie 06, File > Share to iDVD 08. And got pretty good results.
Some say the best way is to quit iMovie 06, open iDVD and import the movie from the Media button.
I have tried both methods in the results look the same. I'm interested in getting the very best quality possible.You likely have one of the most expensive media converter boxes on the market today.
But does it work well with most macs? (my guess is that it does). But more specifically can it "handshake" with an intel based mac? I personally haven't tried it.

We are having two tables one is production one and another is temp table which data we want to insert into production table. temp table having 2.5 million of records and on the other side production table is having billions of records. the thing which we want to do just simple delete already existed records from production table and then insert the remaining records from temp to production table.

If you really just want to insert the records and don't want to update the matching ones and you're already on 10g you could use the "DML error logging" facility of the INSERT command, which would log all failed records but succeeds for the remaining ones.
You can create a suitable exception table using the DBMS_ERRLOG.CREATE_ERROR_LOG procedure and then use the "LOG ERRORS INTO" clause of the INSERT command. Note that you can't use the "direct-path" insert mode (APPEND hint) if you expect to encounter UNIQUE CONSTRAINT violations, because this can't be logged and cause the direct-path insert to fail. Since this is a "live" table you probably don't want to use the direct-path insert anyway.
