What is the best way to do the init synchronize contact person in SAP

Dear All,
Our client is on SAP881 PL09, Office 2003. They have 2 US companies and 1 CA company
I am going to synchronize contact person to their outlook. However, they already have existing contact person list. Some of them are in SAP (but no BP code and not sure if everybody has the same format for contact person). Should I ask them delete all contact person in SAP then do synchronize contact person? Or there is any other good way to do the init synchronization?
Thanks.
Regards,
Yuka

Hi Yuka,
You have the option to select various combinations under Options-General Tab
-Sync. from Outlook to SAP
-Sync. from SAP to Outlook
-Sync. from both Outlook and SAP
Under the Options-Conflicts tab you can also decide on handling the conflicts, on identifying the conflict which should be considered Primary(Also you can Either overwrite or keep the existing records, you can also preview records before writing) based on Outlook or SAP.This option is available for Calender,Contacts and Tasks.
Unless you try out the requirements you will not know the entire details and system's behaviour.
Please go thorough the Recorded Session on Outlook integration and configuration details document on the

  • What is the best way to sync multiple collections of contacts among multiple users?

(I originally submitted this question under the "Mac OS X Technologies" section, but got no response. I'm submitting a duplicate here because this is where all the smart folks are! My apologies that my question is only partially related to OS X Server . . . )
What is the best way to sync multiple collections of contacts among multiple users on iOS and OS X?
For example, suppose I have three collections of contacts: Bob's, Sally's, and Common. I want Bob to be able to access and sync Bob's contacts and Common contacts, and Sally to access and sync Sally's contacts and Common contacts. Bob and Sally never need to access or sync each other's contacts. Bob and Sally would both sync and share contacts in Common.
How would I best implement this? It's my understanding I have three options for managing contacts across iOS and OS X: 1. iCloud accounts, 2. Install OS X server, or 3. Install and manage Darwin CardDAV directly. Which method would best support what I wish to do?
I am a seasoned Unix geek well versed in the terminal, so I am prepared to get my hands dirty as much as necessary to achieve what I want. Also, it is sufficient if syncing takes place over WiFi on the local network, in fact, that is desirable versus syncing over the cloud.

Thanks for your reply Nick101. I see my example was oversimplified. When I say "multiple groups of contacts over multiple users" I'm really referring to N groups of contacts over N users.
So I need to add Fred, who can access and sync Bob's contacts, Sally's contacts, and Common contacts, as well as Fred's contacts. Can I do it with OS X server?
You mention you keep your and your partner's contacts administered locally. What keeps you from administering them through OS X server as well?
I am guessing this can all somehow be accomplished with multiple contact accounts, but I can't find any information on the web explicitly describing this.

  • What is the average duration of 1 full SAP life cycle or 1 end-to-end implementation. How long does it take to prepare DEV, QAS and PRD?

What is the average duration of 1 full SAP life cycle or 1 end-to-end implementation. How long does it take to prepare DEV, QAS and PRD in any company?

    Anand,
let me start with saying that the question you ask may not help you to determine the duration of your project. As Ryan and others stated the duration of the project is highly dependent on the scope of the solution you are implementing, geographical scope, amount of modifications/enhancements, number of languages, number of users that need to be trained, amount of standard processes customer is able to re-use in the implementation and many other factors (like quality of implementation contractor you will chose and availability of customer and implementors resources). I can probably go on for another couple lines, but I guess you get the idea.
With that out of the way let's talk about some example implementations that will give you an idea - Ryan did great job outlining what I would call traditional approach above. I have couple examples where customers leveraged innovative deployment strategies that are available today. In particular the project teams leveraged pre-packaged services like RDS, World Template or Best Practices as their baseline solution and they built from there. Second acceleration technique customers now leverage is the deployment in the SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud to accelerate the time to initial setup of the system and thus move from traditional blueprinting to scope validation exercise that further shortens the time. There are other acceleration techniques we see applied in some cases like use of iterative implementation of the delta requirements on top of the baseline solution.
Let me offer few examples to illustrate what I explained above:
ERP implementation at Schaidt Innovations with 3 months long deployment of ERP solution using ERP RDS as a baseline (you can view their testimonial here - Schaidt Innovations: SAP ERP on HANA in the cloud - YouTube)
Customer in Asia with global template deployment that leveraged SAP ERP for Manufacturing with deployment to cloud and 9 countries rollout (Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, UK, Germany and US). The initial deployment took 4 months for first country and 2 months for rollout into the additional 8 countries - so total of 6 months. The original plan using traditional approach with full blueprint and heavy configuration was estimated to be more than double of the actual deployment time.
There are many other examples where customers follow the assemble-to-order delivery model for their project and gain significant benefits doing so. I suggest you to review some of the recordings we did in 2013 about this approach and if you are member of ASUG review the Agile ASAP sessions we did for ASUG PM SIG.

  • What's he best way to include Adobe PDFs on my blog?

What's he best way to include Adobe PDFs on my blog?
I create worksheets as a teacher and would like to share them from my blog. Currently I am linking to Scribd etc to share PDFs. If I upload the worksheets as an image is there a way to adjust the size/resolution of the PDF for easier viewing?
    Thanks!

PDFs are just files. Can you upload files to your blog space? If yes, just upload the PDFs then, in a blog entry, provide the web link (URL) for each file (PDF).
Or, place the PDFs into your free acrobat.com "files" storage (5GB free). You have one as you have an Adobe ID (needed to make your post here eh).
    https://cloud.acrobat.com/
You can have acrobat.com provide a "share" link to the PDF. Place that into a blog entry.
Or - same idea as above (use a "file share" service) -- Microsoft's OneDrive, Adobe's Creative Cloud, Google drive, DropBox, others ...
    Be well...

  • Dear All,what are the major issues in implementation in sap hcm

what are the major issues in implementation in SAP HCM project scope is PA ,OM,TIME, INDIA PAYROLL

    Hi Ramjan,
Try to have a clear understanding of requirements and find the best solution in SAP. Keep as much as possible everything standard and based on SAP best practices.
In PA look for a comprehensive enterprise structure. It's base for everything.
DON"T do anything through development(ABAP code) as much as possible specially in PT and PY. Try to do claculation by PCRs and Schema.

For both of your question the answer would be
    1. Check all the Post installation configuration has been done properly, with the help of the following links
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/95d7d490-0301-0010-ce93-c58f9a3cde0b

    2. Make sure the latest BASIS Component have been imported into your design time environment
After this you can start  developing your first interface
