What is the best way to edit alert descriptions from Sealed Management Packs?

We have an alert generated from the Exchange 2010 MP. It basically states that the Database Logical Disk Space is running low. We get this alert a lot as log volume varies each day. Alert:
Alert: The database copy is low on database volume space. The volume has reached error levels (16% free)
Alert Source: Public Folder Database DB Logical Disk Space - <Server Name> (Mailbox)

What we'd like to do is edit the subject of the alert to say what the actual value is (in GB for example). What I've been finding is that since the MP is sealed, I'm not allowed to make changes to the alert description.
What is the recommended way to customize sealed MP alerts and descriptions?

Making a change to a sealed Microsoft MP isn't a good idea. If you make a change and then you update the MP down the track you will loose any changes you have made.
When you say edit the subject of the alert, is it the subject in the email notification your talking about or the highlighted value you listed in the alert?
If its the value you highlighted then I don't believe so as this is the raw value returned from the property bag data and this is usually used by other monitors also.
If its the email subject your talking about you can format the E-Mail Notification Channel used and edit E-Mail subject to present the data as you wish in an email.

The rough description of Preview Window trimming..
a. double click clip in Project Assets to bring up Preview Window
b. move Timeline indicator to beginning of section, hit Set In; move Timeline indictor to end of section, hit Set Out.

The “delete and close gap” option in the edit menu does not work. Do I have to move the file to the Narration Track on the Timeline to do the actual trimming?
You should be able to trim the narration in the Preview Window opened by right clicking the narration clip in Project Assets and then drag the segment to an audio track or narration track or dragging the trim to Project Assets for source media.

What is the best way to edit meta data and tag photos, faces, places etc. and have the data saved to the original photo.
On a PC I would just use Windows Gallery. iPhoto on the Mac allows for some tagging, but it doesn't save to the original file.
I like to have my photos in a folder, edit them and save the changes.
What software would work best on a MAC to accomplish this?

iPhoto is a database and any metadata you add or edit is available in any app - if you learn how to use it.
iPhoto is a non-destructive processor. It never touches the original file - it treats it like a film shooter treats the negative.
If you want a copy of the original file with the metadata included simply export a copy.

I am using iMovie 06 (Naturally) with iDVD 08. I have always used;
iMovie 06, File > Share to iDVD 08. And got pretty good results.
Some say the best way is to quit iMovie 06, open iDVD and import the movie from the Media button.
I have tried both methods in the results look the same. I'm interested in getting the very best quality possible.

You likely have one of the most expensive media converter boxes on the market today.
But does it work well with most macs? (my guess is that it does). But more specifically can it "handshake" with an intel based mac? I personally haven't tried it.

Deleting the application from your /Applications folder is sufficient. There are sample projects in /Library/Application/Aperture you may want to get rid of as well, as they take up a fair bit of space.

If you need to export vector data Photoshop is not the first choice but if you have Type Layers (without faux styles), Vector Masks or Paths it is possible.

Size is not the issue. In the old iPhoto you used to be able to share a video and it would compress it to fit an email friendly size. It doesn't do that anymore from iPhoto. I miss that feature. I have to export the video from iPhoto to my desktop then take into the old Quicktime 7 to share in email. Crazy.
It shouldn't be that complicated. I shouldn't have to find a work around. I guess apple wants to put you in a box so you have to do it "their way" via uploading to iWeb or iCloud instead of emailing video.
I don't like those options being taken away. While the quality may suffer by compressing for email, it is still the most direct and unconvoluted way of sharing something fairly quickly. I don't want to have to post to YouTube or Vimeo or iCloud and send a link. Just compress the video and hit send in an email and be done with it.

There is no way to import pages documents to Aperture and convert them to an Aperture book. Aperture books can only be created by manually adding images and text to the pages of a book, and using the layout of the predefined templates.
The best you could do, would be to print your pages document to pdf and import the resulting pdf file into Aperture as a new project. This will create one image for each page. Then select the page images all at once and create a new book. Select a theme with fullsize page images, like "picture Book", and then add the images of the pages to the empty pages of the book.
But probably would you get a much better quality and layout, when you recreate your pages document in Aperture, by starting with an empty book and copying and pasting the text from your Pages document. But don't paste the photos from the document - try to use the originals of those photos.

Why do you think that? You can create printed Books in Aperture with similar themes as in iPhoto, and with more options to create custom themes on your own.

But if you prefer the iPhoto themes and layout, you can open your Aperture library in iPhoto, if you have both the current version of iPhoto and Aperture. Simply use the command "File > Open Library in iPhoto" and you can create your book in iPhoto.
And switch back to Aperture by using the command "File > Open Library in Aperture".

Though the PDF does give a basic idea as to how we can go about the deployments using ANT and EM in Test and Prod, it doesn't really give extensive details. For eg. ANT would obviously need huge ANT scripts to be written for migrations to multiple Test servers, etc.
Similarly, when we talk about EM, does it mean each of the services has to be manually deployed on Production ?
I am sure we would be looking more towards a fully automated solution. No ?
