What is the biggest HD a MS-6163 will accept

I know the latest bios update says it will accept drives over 65gig, i already have a 80gig drive hooked up and am looking at putting a 120gig drive in it, does anyone know if this will be possible?

As long as you don't need to boot from the drive you don't need to care about the bios detecting it at all.
I mean that if you don't need the operating system to be installed on the new drive you don't need the bios to detect it.
If you have a smaller drive with the OS installed on it and just use the large drive as extra storage then you don't boot from the large drive.

  • What is the oldest version of iTunes that will accept gift card redeem ?     ems

Please help !    My daughter has gift cards she would like to Redeem.   She is using my old G-4 laptop.  Can iTunes be upgraded to accept gift cards on 10.3.7 ?

To use the iTunes Store, you need at least iTunes 9.2.1 which requires Mac OS X 10.4.11 or later. You'll need to upgrade her computer to 10.4 or 10.5 before she'll be able to redeem her card and make purchases.
Apple no longer offers Mac OS X 10.4, though they may still have copies of 10.5 if you call the Apple Store (and assuming that your G4 will support 10.5; it requires at minimum an 867MHz G4 processor). Otherwise you'll have to look to independent resellers or places such as eBay for a copy of 10.4 or 10.5; make sure you get a retail (black label) copy, not the system disk from another Mac (grey label).

  • What is the biggest stopper in the BizTalk application testing?

To me the biggest stopper is the work with the test endpoints.
Let me explain. To test BTS applicaion in isolation we have to create new test ports (or modify existed ports which is the unlikely approach of course). After tests we have to remove them. BizTalk does not provide us tooling to do this.
BizUnit does not solve this problem at all.
The one-way port replacement is simple. Usually the File test ports are good enough.
For the two-way port replacement is complex. Especially for the two-way send ports.
If ports are bind to the orchestrations, the problem is even more complex. We have to rebind ports to test ports and back.
So as result I cannot easily and fast enough create the continuous integration for BTS application. It usually evolve in a special project with unconventional parts.
What is the biggest stopper in the BizTalk application testing for you, guys?

For BTS application testing in isolation, I use multiple binding files. yes, I need to apply/reapply this different binding files for smoke testing /isolated testing and another binding for integrated testing. Its painful but helps.

  • What are the biggest differences between the 5C and the 5S?

What are the biggest differences between the 5C and the 5S?

I think as soon as the developers discover CoreMotion, all of the apps will migrate to using that so fast it will cause your head to spin.
I think this will cause the obsolesces of more mobile hardware then anything prior to it. The whining and moaning on these forum is going to be so great.

  • What is the biggest bottleneck on this machine - CPU, GPU, RAM (now at 8GB), or the HD, and would I be better getting a current 27" iMac, a 2012 Mac Mini, or SSDs for my current Mini?

I currently have a 2011 Mac Mini Server. When using FCP X, what is the biggest bottleneck on this machine - CPU, GPU, RAM (now at 8GB), or the HD, and would I be better getting a current 27" iMac, a 2012 Mac Mini, or SSDs for my current Mini?
    Thanks people,

    Hi Tom,
I just wanted to ask you about what you said about the color correction. To be quite honest I'm not sure what the best workflow is, and I haven't gotten my feet wet in multi-cam editing. Basically my work-flow has been.
    1) Import from the camera as optimized media - I found that adding color-correction at the import stage cause a severe hang with my tape-based Canon unit.
    2) Color-correct the imported files before loading any files into a project
    3) Drag files onto the timeline
    4) Click on the color-correction box
    5) Start editing - Usually I have one camera zoomed a little tighter on the singer, one on the whole band, and my iPad or iPhone camera at different angles so I start cutting things according to who is the focus of the moment, add a Ken Burns effect every here and there, Titles, an occassional transition effect.
    6) Add music effects after the looks are taken care of
    7) Export
Are you recommending clicking on the color-correction box after everything is done?
    Thanks - TZ

    I have 2 questions:
1.) What is the biggest display (in terms of pixel resolution) that my MacBook can run?

  • What's the biggest .tiff size fill that Version 10 can manage

What's the biggest .tiff size fill that Version 10 can manage, since Version 9 does'nt like anything over 27.MB

    MTSTUNER,
I remember us talking about Adobe documenting the maximum file sizes, and I just found this while browsing on the Photoshop Developer's site (http://www.adobe.com/devnet-apps/photoshop/fileformatashtml/).  It's a description of the PSD file header information:
    File Header Section
The file header contains the basic properties of the image.
    Length
    Description
    4
Signature: always equal to '8BPS' . Do not try to read the file if the signature does not match this value.
    2
Version: always equal to 1. Do not try to read the file if the version does not match this value. (**PSB** version is 2.)
    6
    Reserved: must be zero.
    2
The number of channels in the image, including any alpha channels. Supported range is 1 to 56.
    4
The height of the image in pixels. Supported range is 1 to 30,000.
    (**PSB** max of 300,000.)
    4
The width of the image in pixels. Supported range is 1 to 30,000.
    (*PSB** max of 300,000)
    2
Depth: the number of bits per channel. Supported values are 1, 8, 16 and 32.
    2
    The color mode of the file. Supported values are: Bitmap = 0; Grayscale = 1; Indexed = 2; RGB = 3; CMYK = 4; Multichannel = 7; Duotone = 8; Lab = 9.
    So it's not surprising that PSE's max is 30K x 30K.

  • What's the Biggest Hard Drive You Can Fit in a Macbook Pro?

I've got MacBook Pro 17' with 750gb HDD, need to upgrade the HDD to 2 or more TB. What is the biggest HDD I can fit my MacBook Pro?
How do I go about cloning my current HDD onto the NEW HDD.
    Thanks.

The GB don't matter. All that matters is the physical size. It can't be higher than 9.5mm. The largest 9.5mm hard drive so far is 750gb.

  • What is the biggest hard drive I can place in my mac book pro?

I have a late 2011 mac book pro 15". I need a bigger hard drive in the laptop because this one is just way too small. What is the biggest hard drive i can put in the laptop. I'm asking this because i can't find any real info on types of hard drives i can get and what not.

If you're going to trust your internal drive up to 1TB, which is indeed possible, I would recommend buying a backup drive of 2-3TBs. Personally, I'd rather have a 512GB SSD with a 2TB backup and a 2TB 'working' external than try to cram 1TB into my portable computer...
    ...that's just me...

  • What is the oldest generation of iPad that will still allow me to run IOS8 and allow for future IOS updates?

Buying a used iPad... what is the oldest generation of iPad that will still allow me to run IOS8 and allow for future IOS updates?
    Thanks

An iPad 2 will do it...for awhile. Realize that it's seemingly on it's last legs as far as iOS updates go and performance will not be great enough for today's demanding games. Also realize that a big part of running apps smoothly is how much system RAM (the memory area that the apps actually run in) the device has. The iPad 2 has 512 MB which is adequate for most apps but not for some. The iPads above the iPad 2 all have 1 GB of system RAM and the iPad Air 2 has 2 GB.
The time will come when the iPad 2 can no longer be updated past a certain iOS version (as the iPad 1 is) so it will be more difficult to keep up with apps that you want to be using. This will eventually happen to ALL devices so you'll have to judge if you want to be at the tail-end of iOS updates or at least have a bigger buffer with a newer iPad.

  • What is the latest version of Firefox that will work with Windows ME?

We were recently given an older Gateway laptop that we intend to use solely as an internet terminal. Alas, it is running Windows ME and I don't even know if it has all the specs to upgrade (and certainly not to Vista, which is the only thing we have an install disk for). It currently has Firefox 2.0.0.20, which of course contains numerous security vulnerabilities and is incompatible with most newer plugins. What is the best version of Firefox that will work with Windows ME, and is it still available for download? Thanks!

Hmm... guess this will be just an e-mail terminal, hardly anything else works cuz I can't update Flash! Thanks for your help.

  • What are the chances that an actual timestamp will be added to the Canon XF200 ?

I shoot depositions for a living and a timestamp is required sometimes. I upgraded to the XF200 from the XHA1s. the XHA1s had a timestamp so i assumed the XF200 would as well. I saw inthe manual that the time and date could be displayed so I bought the camera. you have to manually turn off all displays except the date and time. This works as long as you dont have to change your aperture, wb, or other settings.  When you change any of these the display pops up and is also recorded.  I'm just wondering why Canon would get rid of the timestamp.  I asked if they could add it using a firmware update but all they said was that enough people need to ask for it. What is enough?

"What are the odds that my hard drive will be salvageable?"
Very very good, it's all sealed and only a large electrical surge or dropping it while running could do some damage.
Take it and use a SATA to USB adapter you can get online for $12-$40 and hook it right up to the new Mac and use Setup Assistant or Migration Assistant to transfer files.
OR you can access the drive directly and on a PC with MacDrive installed.
However the Mac itself is likley a goner.
