What is the biggest size of compatible memory card...

Hi,
when I bought my E90 one year ago, I read somewhere (can't remember where) that there are problems if you use a memory card bigger then 2GB. If I remember correctly, there was a allegation that a bigger memory card would slow down the performance of the phone and would even freeze the phone from time to time.
So, what memory card do you use with your E90?
Please also mention what software you have installed, because this could be related with how it handles the additional memory!!!
I recently updated my software to version 300.34.84
Thanks in advance for your reply.

16GB cards works well but surely it slows down the phone as hell and the phone tends to hang a lot..........
also during my six days alteast twice a day my phone would refuse to recognize this card........
I tried installing my all apps on the phone memory but still the **bleep** was not repairable...........
So i wud definitely advise not to experiment with the 16 GB card rather go for 8 GB either by Toshiba, kingston or even scandisk .......
wat the hell nokia centers do also have made in Japan nokia branded 8GB cards..........

    MTSTUNER,
I remember us talking about Adobe documenting the maximum file sizes, and I just found this while browsing on the Photoshop Developer's site (http://www.adobe.com/devnet-apps/photoshop/fileformatashtml/).  It's a description of the PSD file header information:
    File Header Section
The file header contains the basic properties of the image.
    Length
    Description
    4
Signature: always equal to '8BPS' . Do not try to read the file if the signature does not match this value.
    2
Version: always equal to 1. Do not try to read the file if the version does not match this value. (**PSB** version is 2.)
    6
    Reserved: must be zero.
    2
The number of channels in the image, including any alpha channels. Supported range is 1 to 56.
    4
The height of the image in pixels. Supported range is 1 to 30,000.
    (**PSB** max of 300,000.)
    4
The width of the image in pixels. Supported range is 1 to 30,000.
    (*PSB** max of 300,000)
    2
Depth: the number of bits per channel. Supported values are 1, 8, 16 and 32.
    2
    The color mode of the file. Supported values are: Bitmap = 0; Grayscale = 1; Indexed = 2; RGB = 3; CMYK = 4; Multichannel = 7; Duotone = 8; Lab = 9.
    So it's not surprising that PSE's max is 30K x 30K.

  • What is the max size of HDD I can use in my dc7600 CMT

I am using an HP dc7600 CMT which is working fine after upgrading to a Samsung 128GB SSD, Intel Pentium D 3.4 GHz, 4GB RAM, and an AMD Radeon HD 6450. I am running Win 8.1 Pro x64, with the most recent upgrade, and have absolutely no problems. I now want to add a second internal HDD, and wonder what is the max size  I can go to. Can I go to 2TB, or am I limited to a lower figure? 1TB? 500GB? 250GB?
Will be glad for some help here, especially if it has been actually tried in practice.
    Thanks in advance.

    You're very welcome.
Yes, they are very nice machines.
What a jump in performance when I swapped out the Pentium 4 620 mine had, for the PD 945, and tossed in 4 GB of memory.
That box will also run the Radeon HD 6570 with no problem too, which is what I put in mine.
The downside of that model is that there are no settings for ahci or raid.
I own or have owned every CMT since the d510 with the exception of the dc7900.
My main PC is now the 8200 Elite CMT which I installed W8.1 on.
It has an i7-2600 processor and 32 GB of memory, 1 TB SATA III hard drive.
I threw in a Radeon HD 6670 in that one.

  • What's the maximum size of data a coherence cluster can hold?

What's the maximum size of data a coherence cluster can hold before it starts noticing a degradation in performance?
Assume a partitioned topology is used with only one backup for each partition.

    Hi,
Coherence partitioned cache is designed for linear scalability and it does it quite well. I don't see any reasons of performance degrations with increase in data size given, you have enough cores and memory for processing the requests and managing the data.

    Hello,
    CM Repository in DB Mode:
If there is a large number of write requests in your CM usage scenario, set up the CM repository in database mode. Since all documents are stored in the database, this avoids unintentional
    external manipulation of the data.
    CM Repository in FSDB Mode:
In this mode, the file system is predominant. If files are removed from or added to the file system, the database is updated automatically.
If you mainly have read requests, choose a mode in which content is stored in the file system. If this is the case, make sure that access to the relevant part of the file system is denied or
    restricted to other applications.
What is the maximum size of the document that we can upload in a CM (DB) and CM (FSDB) without compromising the performance ?
There are the following restrictions for the databases used:
    ·  Maximum number of resources (folders, documents) in a repository instance
FSDB: No restriction (possibly limited by file system restrictions)
       DBFS and DB: 2,147,483,648
    ·  Maximum size of an individual resource:
FSDB: No restriction (possibly limited by file system restrictions)
DBFS: 8 exabytes (MS SQL Server 2000), 2 GB (Oracle)
       DB: 2 GB
Maximum length of large property values (string type):2,147,583,647 byte
What is the impact on the performance of Knowledge Management Platform and on Portal Platform when there are large number of documents that are in sizes somewhere from 100 MB to 500 MB or more.
The performance of the KM and Portal platform is dependent on the type of activity the user is trying to perform. That is a heavy number of retrievals of the large documents stored in the repository for
read/write mode decreases the performance of the patform. Searching and indexing in the documents will also take a propertionate amount of time.
    For details, please refer to,
http://help.sap.com, Goto "KM Platform" and then,
Knowledge Management Platform   > Administration Guide
    System Administration   > System Configuration
Content Management Configuration   > Repositories and Repository

Technically speaking the VM has a restriction according to plattform.  W2k is somewhere around 1,2G and Solaris, I believe, 4G.
Say for instance I was on a W2k box I allotted 500+ for my J2EE Engine that would leave me with the possiblity to upload close to 600mb documents max.

  • What is the maximum size of a .swf flash file that can be created for DMM

    Please help,
I am running DMM 5.2.1 and was wondering what is the maximum size of a .swf file that can be created and play SMOOTHLY on the screens (screen dimension 1366 x 768px).
    Kind regards.

    Hi Nicholas,
You can refer to the content creation best practices documented at the following link:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/video/digital_media_systems/5_x/5_2/dmd/best/practices/guidelines.html#wp1168116
    As you can read there:
    - if the SWF file size is greater than 500KB, you may start to see high memory consumption on the DMP.
    - regarding resolutions, the SWF can be up to 1920 x 1080 when animations within the SWF are small and are restricted to a 640x480 region.

  • About the biggest size of array

    Is it possible?
I have been asked the technical support of oberthurcs,

    //=======================================================
The applet isn't written in a standard way for JavaCards.
An example is the allocoation of 15000 bytes of memory.
I think you should rethink the applet design and no

    TKS

I am writting a applet for big data management.
I need a array such as
    pkeydata=new byte[(short)15000];
Is it possible? It should be possible. Here is a citation from the Javacard VM spec:
2.2.4 Limitations of the Java Card Virtual Machine
The limitations of resource-constrained hardware prevent Java Card programs from
supporting the full range of functionality of certain Java platform features. The
features in question are supported, but a particular virtual machine may limit the
range of operation to less than that of the Java platform.
To ensure a level of portability for application code, this section establishes a
minimum required level for partial support of these language features.
The limitations here are listed as maximums from the application programmer?s
perspective. Applets that do not violate these maximum values can be converted
into Java Card CAP files, and will be portable across all Java Card implementations.
From the Java Card virtual machine implementer?s perspective, each maximum
listed indicates a minimum level of support that will allow portability of applets.
    2.2.4.2 Objects
    Arrays
Arrays can hold a maximum of 32767 fields. That means: if your applet's code and data requirements are within the given EEPROM range and the used card is specification compliant, the allocation of a byte-array holding 15000 elements should work.
I have been asked the technical support of
    oberthurcs,
    He give the answers:
    //=====================================================
The applet isn't written in a standard way for
    JavaCards.
An example is the allocoation of 15000 bytes of
    memory.
I think you should rethink the applet design and no
    allocate memory like that.
    //=====================================================
[..]Afaik there are other card manufacturers e.g. Orga Card Systems, that are supporting the allocation of arrays in that way. Your kind of allocation as described above is according to the spec.
    Hope that helps

How do I go about cloning my current HDD onto the NEW HDD.

The GB don't matter. All that matters is the physical size. It can't be higher than 9.5mm. The largest 9.5mm hard drive so far is 750gb.

  • What is the actual size of an (empty) varray in a record?

what is the actual size occupied by an (empty) varray in a record?
For example, if I create my table defined as:
create or replace type XXX as object (
    myRefs VARRAY(10) of REF(yyy)
    create table YYY as XXX;
what is the actual size of the record of type XXX when 'myRefs' is empty? For some reason, select data_length from all_tab_cols where table_name = YYY seems always to return 3K as the length of column myrefs.... is that correct? If not, what is the correct size?

    A tad late here...
Storage sizes of REF attributes are described here:
[Design Considerations for REFs - Storage Size of REFs|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/appdev.112/e11822/adobjdes.htm#i452226]
The size of your REF attribute (or element, in your case) will depend on whether it is primary key-based or system-generated, whether it is scoped or not, and whether it carries with it a rowid hint. The overall size of your VARRAY attribute as it grows will also depend on whether you allow null REF values or not, but essentially will be the size of your REF multiplied times the number of elements in your VARRAY (plus a small, constant amount of storage for internal housekeeping, both for the attribute and for each element).
You could try the VSIZE function as an appromixation...

    Hello,
    I'd like to know:
What is the maximum size per mailbox, and is it not recommended to exceed 3 GB and about the items how many is the maximum per folder (inbox, .. )
    I've Exchange 2007 SP2, Outlook 2007 and 2010.
    Thank you.

    Hi
There is no size limit on mailboxes up to the maximum size of your database.  I normally recommend 2GB mailbox limits if you have some form of archiving in place.  If you have no archiving in place then the limit should be set at the amount of
data people need to keep - it is not a good idea for people to store mail in PST files because there is a limit on their mailbox.
See this article for item count recommendations:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/905803
Also you need to upgrade your Exchange 2007 server to SP3 ... SP2 has been out of support for nearly 3 years already:

If you place in Muse - an image with either height or width larger than 2048 pixels - Muse scales the image down proportionately, limiting the larger dimension to 2048.
However, if you want to use the placed image at its original size, you can scale the image up to desired size either by dragging the resizing handles or by entering Height and Width values in the Control Strip on top. After that, go to the Assets panel and locate the image in there, then right click that image in Assets panel and choose "Import Larger Size". That would bring back the lost image information from the original image.

No, in terms of Mail.app. As WZZZ said, this limit is set by your ISP.
Yes, in terms of netiquette. Google it. Any file > 1MB is, IMHO, too big for e-mail. Nowadays, this rule may be more relaxed, because more people have broadband. You should check with your intended recipient.

  • What's the maximum size and length that go onto a DVD

I'm trying to put a whole load of home videos onto DVDs. What is the maximum size that can be burnt onto a DVD. There are a lot of hours on here, about 15 and I was hoping to try and get about 3 hours per DVD is this possible?
    Thanks
    Tom

If you're referring to a video DVD which will plan on a TV set via a DVD player then a single layer DVD disk can hold 120 minutes of playing time which includes the basic material and any animated menus in the project.
A double layer disk can hold 240 minutes.
If you are creating a data disk with the files copied to it then its a matter of grouping the files into batches of either slightly less than 4.7 GB for single layer and 9.4 GB for double layer.
if you're referring to  video DVD discs follow this workflow to help assure the best qualty video DVD:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image  menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image, launch DVD Player and play it.  If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding is good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality.  Always use top quality media:  Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.
