What is the business package for appointment calender

In SAP GUI version we have appointment calender accessed by Tcodes SSC1 and SSC0
what is the corresponding business package and iviews in the portal
is backed calender fully synchronised with portal?

I do not think there is a business package for your requirement. However, you could use the transaction codes to access them from portal or probably check this collaboration feature to see if it fits your requirement.

I have searched sdn.sap.com throughout looking for a comprehensive list of reports available in the business packages for both MSS and ESS, i got a little bit of joy and found some of the MSS reports but not all on sdn.sap.com, can anyone please advise where i would find such information on both these packages, just to re-iterate, i am looking for a list of reports these business packages offer? any help much appreciated.

(1) ESS- We built our own custom PORTAL role/workset in which one of the worksets we created is called "Tools and Forms". Under that workset, we placed various pages/iViews that either are simple URL iViews that link to external documents and such (like vacation request forms since they do not do online leave requests yet) as well as a couple ot t-code iViews that run reports in ECC for the employee. Nothing very mind blowing there. Just some content creation on the portal side.....oh, and some config on the backend to create a Homepage Framework Area Page and all for it (I liked that part!)
(2) Wow....talk about perfect timing...I just had to document the way MSS sees the MDT reports in it's "reporting" area yesterday! haha Here goes the quick explaination....in configuration for MDT, you have various "scenarios". These kinda determine which "groups" of reports will show in MDT. For MSS for the Reporting webdynpro/service, the scenario is RPT0 (in ECC 5.0, at least). Soooo if you look at the function CODES assigned to RPT0, you will see several for Training and one for Accounting (Cost Centers)...you can reference the function CODES listed back to the "pool"/library of function codes a bit up/previous in the same config area for MDT(I think it is called "Define Function Codes"). However, there is one more piece you will see listed under RPT0....it is a DIRECT call to function MODULE "HR_HIS_READ" (this was a bugger to find because I could not find the "Maternity" report listed in the function codes and had to figure out where the heck it was coming from! haha). Anyways....what the function MODULE actually does is call the HR Information System (HIS) passing it the RPT0/MSS scenario. This returns the particular reports for Employee Data and Time&Attendance. You can see this if you run the HR_HIS_READ function directly and enter RPT0 for the second input value (first and third are not needed or you can just enter "*". Sooooo that is how the "magic" happens. Hope that explained it. From there, you can simply config you own scenario/reports to add into MSS if you like.

I will give just hints rest you have to think and act not about Interview quotations but SAP MM career.
There are couple of guys and all of them has got job, first as a SAP testing, as SAP freshers in HCL/HP India etc.
Later on they have learnt all the business process in project and all the E2E cycles in MM/SD/FICO etc.
Now they are working on support projects and roll out projects.
I think there are ways and we need to understand how to explore all the job possibilities.
Please have good knowledge and definitely you will succeed. Short cuts are not always the way to success.

Cannot download the business package for ESS or MSS

I'm trying to download the 'Business Package for Employee Self-Service
(mySAP ERP) via
http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/developerareas/contentportfolio. When I
click the 'Download' link, I get taken to the URL

where I get an IE message "The page cannot be found".
Any idea why?
How can I download this business package ?
I also get the same problem when I try to download any other version of
ESS or any version of MSS.

Need to know the Business Package for CRM4.0 Sales in EP6.0

Hi experts,
We are trying to implement the CRM4.0 Sales business package in our EP6.0 environment( Our Backend R/3 is in 4.6B) . We would like to install complete package for the Sales module (The main (Top level) menus in the portal look like the following ==>
Activities.. Account Management ... Acquisition.. Sales .. Products.. Analysis..   Home.. R/3 Integration .. CRM integration .. APO integration..
Below every top level menus there are sub menus.. For example under Sales we would have the folliwng ( Overview.. Quotation.. Orders .. Contracts.. Billing Documents )
In the list of package from CRM (available in the SDN) the following looks like the currect one, can anybody advice please.
Business Package for SAP CRM 4.0     60.2.3   SAP AG   Unrestricted Shipment.
However, since we are only interested about the Sales Portion only can we choose to import content that is relevant only to the CRM SALES as well as CRM SALES analytics and not anything else? If it's possible the what is the procedure? If not then I assume that we will have to import the entire content and activate only the portion that we need. Please advice.

Hi Arun,
When u download and apply a busiiness pacakge u will get the complete package.
After appling the bussiness package u will get a report showing whcih all roles worksets etc are added to the portal. And also In portal contants there will be a folder created. There u can see the roles , worksets pages iviews etc.
You can edit the role and put the desired iviews or pages according to u r demand.

Read the log file(generated after importing the BP) it will give u all the information abt the contents that are uploaded to the portal server.

What's the business case for using adobe forms for handling print forms

We are just starting our SAP project and are looking at the possibility to use Adobe forms for generating and printing our forms, like purchase orders, invoices etc.
My Question is:
1. Is this possible / adviseable ?
2. if so - what's the business case in using Adobe forms - We have been looking on the SAP Pricing for adobe interactive form, and in our point of view it's grotesque high
3. What other options do we have - do we need to settle with SAP Script / Smartforms ?

As far I know SAP is going to stop support for SAPScript in coming years (I don't know exact dates). It is pretty much advisable to use Adobe Print Forms.

We can use Adobe Print Forms where ever we can able to use SApscripts/PDF print Forms.
3. What other options do we have - do we need to settle with SAP Script / Smartforms ?
It is better to settle with Adobe forms rather than using SAPscript/Smart forms. One of the main reason for this is maintainance is much easier than SAPscript/Smart forms.
But remember that Java Stack need to be installed in order to use Adobe Forms.

What is the best package for me ?

I will be working in France & want to make & receive calls on my Blackberry which has skype too & from UK at the best price. I can't work out the best package on skype to achieve this & there seems to be no Support phone numbers.

No I don't pay cancellation charges, why should I ?
All I am doing twice a year is moving my BT broadband connection from one house with a live BT line to another house with a live BT line.
In the times that each house is empty, the BT phone line there is not used.
I have a letter with three options headed

Option 1 is "Keeping getting unlimited UK evening and weekend calls for free with our special offer". When I look at this on your website I have to add my existing line rental - so what is special about the offer ? And what happens about my broadband ?
In BT's letter option 3 doesn't mention line rental, but note 2 on the back does
Well the next thing on your website is
" To get a great broadband deal along with your calls "
£12 plus existing line rental
Now this does seem cheaper than I pay at the moment which is £18.85 per month for broadband
Is this the case ?
My line rental at the moment is £18.75 a month less a discount of £4.90 ( something to do with "Evening Calls + Friends and Family Mobile Deal" )
Does this discount still apply to BT's new deals ?
The broadband deal includes BT sport which I don't want.
And is there any way of my avoiding paying two line rentals when only one telephone is used at any one period of the year ?

Installing the Business Package for CRM 4(60,2_3)

I am importing the BP for CRM 4 and getting some errors while importing it.
Error 1:
I get a lot of errors for the profiles that is not deployed... Like the profile navigation, default, xmlform and so on.. I.E:

Accessing xampp from VM: what is the correct package for netstat?

I'm using an Arch Guest and a Win7/Virtualbox Host to set up a development server I can access from windows. I have heard I can locate the arch xampp server's IP address from the Win7 host if I find its IP address with netstat, but "netstat" gives me "command not found." sudo pacman -S netstat gives "target not found: netstat." Is the correct package "netstat-nat" [1]? If so, it does not work the way I expected; I get "could not read info about connections from the kernel, make sure netfilter is enabled by kernel or in modules." Does the Arch community not use netstat? If you wanted to find the IP address of an arch-based server running in a virtual machine that is correctly configured to allow incoming queries, what would you do?

Netstat is in the package net-tools, but wouldn't an easier way be just to do a ifconfig on the guest and see what its' ip is on the virtual network adapter?

Business Package for Internal Sales Representative 1.0

I'm trying to install the Business Package for Internal Sales Representative 1.0 to explore the options of using Business Packages in our portal. I have the SAP Library Link for this BP ( http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/EN/b7/036b4060a1181ce10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm ), and I've looked at the configuration information on the page.
So far I've imported the business package for common parts and the business package for internal sales representative, I assigned the alias "SAP_ECC_SalesService" to our ECC connection (does it need to be the default alias?). We also have an ITS installed for the connected system. We don't currently have our BI system connected to this portal, but it said that was optional. I have also assigned the role from each business package to my user, but when I open the iviews, they give me errors.
I am not sure what I am supposed to do to make the settings for the launchpad. Also, what other steps do I need to complete? Do I need to do something in the source system to set up the connection?

As you can see there are 3 BP's for ESS
1. Business Package for Employee Self-Service (mySAP ERP 2004) [BP v60.2]
2. Business Package for Employee Self-Service (mySAP ERP) [BP v1.0]
3. Business Package for Employee Self-Service 4.6C - 4.7 [BP v50.4]
option 1 and 2 can 100% run on EP7.0 as it is stated in there discription.
option 3 is not released to run on EP7.0 but from my experiance at a customer that implemented this, it works fine.

Business Packages for Maintenance Technician

Hi all.
We imported the Business Package for Maintenance Technician and previously we followed the prerequisites on the documentation.
For the step "You have set up the system alias SAP ECC Manufacturing in the portal" the alias was created for the system SAP_R3, I simply create the alias n no more.
When i try to execute the preview of any iView i.e. "Create Confirmation" the following error appears:
"Exception in SAP Application Integrator occured: Application URL ':///sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/rman_prsp_conf_app/;sap-ext-sid=x2bvhbLxismPPWD3O5rgfA%3D%3D7AFrHLsz6dPb8oNUuj4jqg%3D%3D' is not valid! Please check the protocol and host entries for system 'SAP_ECC_Manufacturing'..
Exception id: 12:03_26/02/07_0022_19277150
See the details for the exception ID in the log file"
Does anybody knows what i have to do or where am i wrong.

EP60 : Business Package for Communication & Exchange

Hello, I see that the Business Package for Communication isn't supported on SAP EP 6.0 SP2. Is there any other package available which can be used for Exchange integration and EP60 SP2? Sorry if this is an obvious answer but I am new to portals and part of our project sign off was the ability to do exchange integration.

Please note that the Business Package for Communication was only available for SAP EP 5.0. Newer releases of SAP EP contain the groupware (GW) functionalities and some GW iViews automatically as soon as KM is installed with the EP. The integration with MS Exchange 2003 should work. If you look for iViews such as Send EMail, Create Appointment, Show availability and Room Calendar, you can use the iViews shipped by SAP. If however you need the EMail inbox or the personal calendar and tasks, then the native OWA iViews are the way to go.
