What is the code to get the Label of radio button item at runtime?

Hi All
I am working on forms 10g(version 10.1.2.0.2 ) with Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0 on windows 2000 platform.
My requirement is to dynamically get the label of the radio button item in a radio group.I am able to get the label of the radio group as shown below
Item :Radio group
Label : Gender
IF m_type = 'RADIO GROUP' THEN
m_label:=Get_Item_Property(m_Item ,label);
END IF;
There two Radio buttons inside this radio group which are
item     : Radio button
Label : Male
item :Radio button
Label :female
What is the code to get the label of radio button(i.e) male and female ?
How will I get the count of radio buttons in a radio group at runtime?
Regards
Mohan

But you have to provide the button name which cannot be get at runtime.
This is a lack of information that the Dev team would correct !

• MM - PO - what is the meaning of this button?

Dear friends,
Could anybody help me with one question.
There is a strange button in a Purchasing Order on the Account Assignment tab page on this screenshot (it is marked with red color).
Screenshot below
http://content.foto.mail.ru/mail/raiden87/81/i-84.jpg
What is the meaning of this button? When it is used for?
I hope that anybody knows the meaning =)

hi raiden,
as for as i have gone through the issue I have come to know that:
If you want to use multiple account assignment for a line item in PO then at that moment you will have to first press the "repeat on " button. only after that multiple account button will be active that is just before your "repeat on " button.
Steps:
1:Save your PO.
2:Go to transaction code ME22N to change the PO.
(Here you will firstly see that the multiple a/c assignment button is firsty gray.It will become active only after when you press the "repeat on" button).
I hope It will be helpfull for you.

• What is the maximum number of line items we can enter in an order...

Hi,
Can anyone explain what is the max number of line items that v can enter in an order....
or if i want to increase the number of line items than the max where it is controlled.
Because my mm counter part is facing this in the PO he could make only 9999,the problem is when posting...the accounting document is not getting generated bcas of exceeding the limit.
venugopal

hi,
this is my personal experiance that we can enter at the most 499 line items in SALES ORDER.
This is because for every line item there will be 2 financial entries, debit and credit. and 1 FI document can have at the most 999 line items (which we can not increase without KEY fromSAP)
If we divide 999 by 2 then it comes to 499.50 so you can enter at the most 499 line items in Sales order.

begin
wwpre_api_value.set_value_as_number
p_path => 'oracle.portal.search',
p_name => 'searchresultpageid',

• What is the use of usage in item category determination?

Hi Gurus,
What is the use of usage in item category determination? pls give examples.
Thanks,
Paul

Hi John,
Assign Item Categories
In this menu option, you can specify which item categories the system proposes during document processing for each sales document type and item category group. At the same time, you can specify additional item categories with which the system default can be overwritten. There is a maximum of three possible alternative item categories.
If, for example, you enter a material with the item category group NORM in a standard order, the SAP System determines the allowed item category via the assignment of item categories to sales document types and item category groups.
The system default and the allowed alternatives are always determined from the sales document type and one or two further criteria. The system default depends on the following criteria:
sales document type
item category group
item category of the higher-level item
item category usage
Note
The SAP System automatically copies the item category determined for a sales document item to the delivery.
Recommendation
Depending on the initial situation you can start the assignment differently:
When you define a new sales document type, you should specify the proposed and the allowed item categories for the materials that are represented by the item category group.
When you define a new item category, you should specify for which sales document types an item category is proposed or which item category is possible for the materials represented by the item category group.
When you define a new item category group, you are to enhance the assignment of item categories to sales document types by this new item category group.
Actions
To define item category determination, proceed, for example, as follows:
1. Choose the sales document type to which you want to assign item categories.
2. Then choose one of the item category groups.
3. Specify all the allowed item categories for the combination of sales document type and item category group.
If you are dealing with a non-material item, you must specify the corresponding item usage.
If it is a subitem, specify the item category of the higher-level item.
If it is an item category that is to be proposed in the sales document, you must indicate the combination of item category, item category group and sales document type as a default value.
4. If necessary, specify between one and a maximum of three item categories, with which the system default can be manually overwritten during document processing.
Thanks & Regards

What is the difference between data base objects and runtime objects

Hi raja,
data base objects means u can have the presence of these objects in the database.So the tables,searchhelps,structures,lockobjects comes under these ones.
Runtime objects are created and destroyed after the program ends, any changes we make to them are temporary only.

hi i have situation where i what to get display value of radio button,for example i store value A in db but i display Active in my radio button how can i do that
my radio button is

autoSubmit="true"

partialTriggers="d1" inlineStyle="height:100px;"/>
am in jdeveloper 11.1.1.6.0

adf009, the answer was given in my blog I posted to your other thraed JDeveloper: Showing a Popup when Selecting an af:selectOneRadio | JDev & ADF Goodies
You only have to read it and the link provided inside the blog pointing to the other blog entry.
use
<af:outputText value="Reason: #{pageFlowScope.InternalBean.status}" id="ot9"
partialTriggers="d1" inlineStyle="height:100px;"/>
to output the text.
By the way your code snipplet isn't understandable without knowing the context around it. You always should mention if you post code from someone else (at least give a link to the source).

• How to get the label on selectOneMenu selected item??

Hi,
I'm not able to get the label of the selected item in a selectOneMenu. The code I use to fill it is:
<h:form id="formNacion" name="formNacion">
<h:selectOneMenu value="#{modelRtbBean.nacion}" id="selectNacion" onchange="this.form.submit();">
<f:selectItems value="#{dataRecoveryBean.naciones}" id="idItemsNacion"/>
</h:selectOneMenu>
</h:form>
The dataRecoveryBean has this method to fill the content of the component (basically it creates an arrayList of selectItems by recovering data from a database):
public ArrayList<SelectItem> getNaciones() {
if ((naciones == null ) || (naciones.isEmpty()) ){
naciones = new ArrayList<SelectItem>();
HDBGeografico hdbGeo = new HDBGeografico();
SqlMadd sqlmadd = new SqlMadd();
try {
AccessBD sscm = new AccessBD( );
sscm.table(hdbGeo.getSqlNaci());
// The AccessBD object has a reference to the resultset:
ResultSet rs = sscm.getRS();
while (rs.next()) {
naciones.add(new SelectItem((String) rs.getString(1), (String) rs.getString(2)));
sscm.Close();
} catch (Exception e) {
System.out.println(e.toString());
return naciones;
the modelRtbBean setNacion recovers the value, but I need its label too, because it's a kind of description that I use later.
In the modelRtbBean setNacion method I'm able to access the UISelectItems object, but I cannot get the selected item itself
public void setNacion(String nacion) {
FacesContext fc = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
if (fc != null) {
UIViewRoot viewRoot= fc.getViewRoot();
System.out.println(viewRoot.getViewId());
HtmlSelectOneMenu selNac = (HtmlSelectOneMenu)viewRoot.findComponent("bodySTB:formNacion:selectNacion");
if (selNac != null) {
System.out.println("Nacion value-htmlSelectOneMenu :" + selNac.getValue() );
System.out.println(selNac.getAccesskey() + selNac.getTitle() + selNac.toString());
UISelectItems uis = (UISelectItems)selNac.findComponent("idItemsNacion");
if (uis != null) {
System.out.println("I have the element...");
this.nacion = nacion;
How could it be accessed this selected item label ??

I finally did it as you suggest, but I found another way to access the label (I don't know if it could be useful for anybody but here it is) :
In the setter method linked to the SelectOneMenu, you can put in this code:
FacesContext fc = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
if (fc != null) {
UIViewRoot viewRoot= fc.getViewRoot();
System.out.println(viewRoot.getViewId());
HtmlSelectOneMenu sel = (HtmlSelectOneMenu)viewRoot.findComponent("viewName:formName:selectOneName");
if (sel != null) {
UISelectItems uis = (UISelectItems)sel.findComponent("idItemsName");
if (uis != null) {
ArrayList<SelectItem> listElem = (ArrayList<SelectItem>) uis.getValue();
You could put in in the value item of each SelectItem it's index position in the list, so in the setter method
of the bean linked to the selectOneMenu you would get the index of the selected item as the parameter of the method
int index = 1; // For easyness in this example
System.out.println("Label: " + listElem.get(index).getLabel() + " Value: "+ listElem.get(index).getValue());
Thanks !!!

• What's the label mean in Mac mini?

My Mac mini labeled as "MAC MINI 1.83/2X512/80/COMBO/AP/BT-TWN EMC No: 2108
FCC ID : BCGA1114 IC: 579C-A1114 FCC ID : PPD-AR5BXB6-M IC: 4104A-AR5BXB6"
My questions are:
1. If I bought a new Mac mini with 4GB memory, would this label changed too?
2. the first line "....../COMBO/AP/BT-TWN..." seem to mean Taiwan area, and it has another small label on the same side near says Made in China(Chinese words). I wonder if it labeled -USA in the first line as you bought Mac mini in US?
3. If so, TWN = Taiwan; USA = US, then, is it Made in China too?
4. If I live in Taiwan, will there be any problem if I bought a Mac mini from US and using it in Taiwan? like software conflict? or anything I need to beware?
PS. I prefer to use English Mac OS X.

1. If I bought a new Mac mini with 4GB memory, would this label changed too?
The label contains a brief outline of the system's original configuration, so if you bought a new mini with 4Gb RAM, the label would change as appropriate to that system.
2. the first line "....../COMBO/AP/BT-TWN..." seem to mean Taiwan area, and it has another small label on the same side near says Made in China(Chinese words). I wonder if it labeled -USA in the first line as you bought Mac mini in US?

I'm not sure you're reading the label correctly. If I recall correctly, all minis are built in China, though obviously they are localized for different markets.
4. If I live in Taiwan, will there be any problem if I bought a Mac mini from US and using it in Taiwan? like software conflict? or anything I need to beware?
Minis come supplied with a universal power supply, so as long as you have an adapter that allows you to connect the US power plug to the socket you have on the wall, there is nothing else needed. There are no software conflicts you'd get as a result, and the process of initially setting up the system when it is unpacked will allow you to select whichever language you prefer.

• Changing the label of Next button in af:trainButtonBar

Hi,
I have a bounded task flow that contains 5 train stops.
In each step, I’m using the train button component to show the back and next buttons.
In the third train stop, I need to change the label of the next button to something else (read from a resource bundle if possible) but I need to do it only for this taskflow and for this step only.
I found that I can do this with the skinning, but this will change it for the whole application no? but I need to do it for this task flow only
Any hints how can i change the label?
Thank you

Hi,
The task flow I’m implementing is a simple task flow where the user navigates through all the stops. No stop is skipped. So the af:trainButtonBar is very suitable for my case. The only modification I need is to change the text label of the next button from “next” to “a string read from a resource bundle”.
In the example in the link, we are using command buttons but what I need is to stick to af:trainButtonBar with just changing the label.
Thank you again

• What is the evaluation order of Page Items

I just wonder what the execution order of page item assignments are in the page rendering process.
Sequence (+ Region), Type of items, more clever by checking dependencies ??
I couldn't find anything here, or looked with the wrong keywords.
I just need to know, what reliable assumption to make about dependencies amongst page items?
Is that visible in the APEX code? A pointer to that would be OK.
Many thanks
Thomas

You can view page components in event order in the App Builder by selecting the Utilities > Page Events view in the page definition, and the actual sequence of runtime events in the debug trace.That was exactly what I was thinking, but that is not the case as far as I can tell. The order which is shown "*Utilities > Page Events*" seems to be the display order, but not necessarily the evaluation order in order to obtain the values.
I have a database field that is shown much further down in this sequence, but I have a dependent field that is calculated based on this value and is shown before in that sequence.
So I was wondering whether there is an implied order - possibly based on the Source Type of the page item.
And to answer the question. There are no other computations or processes ... other than the associated "Automated Row Fetch" related to the database column used in the page items on the page.

• Analog Vs Digital What provides the best end radio results! AUDIO RECORDING

This is always an interesting topic so I though I start I chat on this. Here are some questions to get you guys going.
1. What is the difference between Analog and Digital?
2. Which sounds better Analog or Digital?
3. What type of music works best with Analog and which type works best with digital, meaning in terms of production. (oppinion)

I moved straight on from analog and digital to my current "Digilog" setup.
All my mics, speakers and anything that interfaces directly with the real world are digital (I sample the individual quantum states of each energy quanta - far more accurate and realistic that straight sampling.)
Those signals go staight into my digilog quantum computing system, running a specially modified version of Logic 7.5 QE (Quantum Edition). (You can also get the SHSE version - Steven Hawking Special Edition, although I wouldn't recommend recording vocals in that one...)
You'll be no doubt pleased to hear that sample editing has been improved in this version to "Quantum Accurate Editing" in the arrange page, which works great.
Analog and digital are so last century. Get with the program and upgrade to Digilog! And as an extra bonus, you can remaster your existing recordings into the digilog domain and sell them all over again!
Just remember not to clip anything in a digilog system, or else the universe collapses into a single quantum singularity, and once that happens it's impossible to uncompress the universe back into it's former dynamic range even with Logic QE's Quantum Expander.
BTW I recommend staying away from the "AnalDig" system. I tried it once, but it never sat comfortably with me...

• What is the Pre Trigger for combo item same like Pre-Text-Item.

Hi Everyone,
Can anyone help what is the same trigger like Pre-Text-Trigger for combo items.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your reply Mr. Ammad,
--vDatabaseValue:=GET_ITEM_PROPERTY('item_name',DATABASE_VALUE);
This will fetch the value from the database. But what I need is to store the value of the item itself.
For example:-
I created one combo box called Item_Code and one text item called Quantity in my form.
I am choosing the item code from the combo box lets say 'ABC123' then my cursor moved to Quantity.
Now I am again coming back to the Item_Code to change the value which already I choosed 'ABC123', here I need to store that value 'ABC123' into an global variable before to change.
Hope you understand.
Thanks.
