What is the shortcut key to highlight words in adobe reader in macbook pro
what is the shortcut key to highlight words in adobe reader in macbook pro?
Shift + U is not working
how can i change shortcut key?I don't believe there is a keyboard shortcut available for that feature. But I believe if you click-select the topmost chapter, and Shift-click the bottommost chapter, it should select them all.
Other shortcuts for books can be set up in Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts in the Panel Menus product area. There are no default shortcuts in that area. -
What is the default key command for THE COMMAND (apple) key? I seem to have changed it somehow along the way and now when I push the command key (only) it hides all open windows and shows the desk top and when I push it again it shows all windows again...I need to return to default A.S.A.P. just this one key...Any ideas? Thanks in advance...
Go to
> System Preferences > Keyboard
Click on the 'Keyboard' tab and hit the 'modifier keys...' button. You can see and change the defaults there.
As I'm not sure if all the labels are the same in Lion, he's a screenshot from Snow Leopard. It should be similar enough: -
How to find out what is the lock key for the computer
How to find out what is the lock key for the computer?
You don't.
If you forgot or lost the password, all you can practically do is reset it.
The manner in which you do so depends on what version of OS X you are running. The older versions utilize the reset password utility on your recovery/re-installation disk/drive.
On Lion, you use the following technique to reset the Administrators password:
Boot to your Lion Recovery Partition, by holding down the Option key while starting, and then selecting the Recovery HD as the boot choice.
Once booted, at the top of the screen is a menu ..., select Utilities / Terminal from the menu bar.
In the Terminal window, type “resetpassword” (without the quotes) and press return. A “Reset Password” window will open. Select your boot volume (your SSD drive) if it is not already selected. Select your administrators username from the menu labeled “Select the user account” if it is not already selected. Follow the prompts to reset the password. Restart the computer from the apple menu. -
what is the registry key in Adobe Acrobat v9 which turns the dialog off: any form fields that have the same name in the merged documents are now...
There is no key because that is an important dialog. Why would you want it to go away?

HT201181 hi, in apple MacBook Air 11.6" what is the shortcut key for print screen
hi, in apple MacBook Air 11.6" what is the shortcut key for print screen
To capture the entire screen to an image, use the key combination ⌘ shift 3.
To capture a selection rectangle, ⌘ shift 4.
To capture the frontmost window, ⌘ shift 4 and then press the space bar.
The screen grab will appear on your Desktop. Open it in Preview or your favourite image editing software, and print in the usual manner. -

What is the input "key" in the IMAQ Write Custom Data palette?
Hello!
I am not able to use correctly the IMAQ Write Custom Data palette because I do not know what is the input "key".
Does anyone know its meaning?

I agree with this. I have already read this information in the LabView Help.
However, I would like to know what is the "key" specifically. I know that it is a string.
I have written a code to add some acquisition features in a PNG Image File. For this, I have used the following palettes: IMAQ Write File 2 - PNG with Vision Info and IMAQ Write Custom Data.
Afterwards, I have written another code to read the acquisition features from this PNG Image File. For this one, I have used the following palettes: IMAQ Read Image and Vision Information and IMAQ Read Custom Data.
But, when I am reading the acquisition features, an error message appears: "ERROR -1074395723 occurred at IMAQ Read Custom Data - IMAQ Vision: The key you specified cannot be found in the image"
I do not know what I have to put in the input "key". So, I have been trying different values for it: "data", "hello", "13", "56", etc. But, none of these has worked and the same message has appeared.
Does someone know what I have to put in the input "key"? Does someone have an example that shows how to use the palettes: "IMAQ Write Custom Data" and "IMAQ Read Custom Data" correctly?
Sincerely,

What are the shortcut keys for new tab page?
It looks like the new tab page (Firefox 13, with the
screenshots of your popular pages in it) is a mouse-only
feature.
Is this correct? What are the shortcut keys to access
the links on the page?
thanks,
PatrickHi,
As of now there aren't (most likely) keyboard shortcuts. Please also see [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/new-tab-page-show-hide-and-customize-top-sites this] for working with the new tab page. -
What is the book key (F) in MSI GT70 to boot from CD/DVD?
Hello,
What is the book key (F) in MSI GT70 to boot from CD/DVD? I tried all F keys but nothing.Change to legacy mode and reboot again to see if your CD/DVD is in the list of boot menu. Any drive not in the list is usually not bootable under current boot mode. You just need to choose the correct boot mode and make sure your CD/DVD is not broken or scratched. :cool:

What is the "option key" referred to in the instructions for using a recovery disc?
The Option Key (along with Control and Command) will be on keyboards made by Apple and some 3rd party keyboards made specifically for Macs. Other USB keyboards will work but may have Windows-specific markings.
The key layouts from left to right on Mac keyboards are (bottom row):
Control - Option - Command - Space Bar - Command - Option - Control
If you are using a Windows keyboard, the layout is the same but they keys could be marked differently. In other words, the leftmost key will be the Control key when booted into MacOS regardless of what is marked on it for when you are booted into Windows OS.
Some compact keyboards might eliminate the left or right keys, but there will always be at least one set. For example it could be:
Control - Option - Command - Space Bar -
There are also symbols used to describe these keys in support documents.
^ is Control
A stairstep looking symbol is Option
A cloverleaf looking symbol is Command
Some people will refer you to the "Apple Key". There is no such thing but it is common for the Command key to be referred to this way as on many Apple keyboards the Apple Character is on that key. It is usually not on 3rd party keyboards, which is why you should always refer to it as the Command key, since referring to it as the Apple key will confuse many users. Apple never refers to this as the "Apple Key".
Alternative name for Option key is Alt, but again Apple never refers to it as Alt; it is there for Windows/UNIX compatibility. -
What are the surrogate key and row_number( )
what are the surrogate key and row_number( ) function, and why do not we always make the row_number a primary key in the table.
Mohannad,
we just try to safe your efforts and to prevent common
mistakes you can make.
Look here.
Your requirement is to avoid gaps in sequence.
OK. But it means you HAVE to lock your sequence
exclusively until you commit transaction.
Also, it means you have to rollback sequence
number to original value if you rollback you
entire transaction.
SQL> create table my_tab (id number);

Table created.

SQL> create table numer_tab (id number);

Table created.

SQL> insert into numer_tab values(0);

1 row created.

SQL> create or replace trigger
2 tr_no_gap
3 before insert on my_tab
4 for each row
5 begin
6 /* Let's lock sequence in exclusive mode */
7 update numer_tab set id = id + 1
8 returning id into :new.id;
9 end;
10 /

Trigger created.Now I havn't to worry about gaps:
Fisrt session:
SQL> insert into my_tab values(null);

1 row created.because my next session is waiting:
SQL> insert into my_tab values(null);
 I do commit in first and second session -everything is OK:
SQL> commit;

Commit complete.

SQL> select * from my_tab;

ID
2
1Now I do the same but do rollback in 1th:
SQL> insert into my_tab values(null);

1 row created.

SQL> rollback;

Rollback complete.and commit in 2th:
SQL> insert into my_tab values(null);

1 row created.

SQL> commit;

Commit complete.No gaps:
SQL> select * from my_tab;

ID
2
3
1Now I will not lock sequence resource due a transaction:
SQL> create or replace trigger
2 tr_no_gap
3 before insert on my_tab
4 for each row
5 declare
6 pragma autonomous_transaction;
7 begin
8 /* Let's lock sequence in exclusive mode */
9 update numer_tab set id = id + 1
10 returning id into :new.id;
11 commit;
12 end;
13 /

Trigger created.And I repeate my last operation.
Both inserts execute immediately
1th
SQL> insert into my_tab values(null);

1 row created.2th
SQL> insert into my_tab values(null);

1 row created.Now I rollback the first and commit the second.
And what I see is the gap:
SQL> select * from my_tab;

ID
2
3
5
1We are just trying to explain what you will have to
pay the serious price of performance in the
absence of gaps and you will have the lack
of Oracle multithreading advantage in this case.
I doubt your customers will happy with that.

I know this is an easy question, but it really erritates me
what is the option key in my keyboard?
is it the one with th eapple mark or is it the alt key or is it something else?It's not just the Alt key either....The UK keyboard 'backspace' / ⌫ key actually bears the symbol: ← and so I've always thought of it as 'backspace'. Even though it's generally called 'delete' in the Mac world.
On a UK keyboard the 'delete' key is printed 'delete' and '⌦' to represent that it's a 'forward space'.
Shift gets an up arrow here and no text. I really don't know why this can't be standardized; or perhaps it is on the new keyboard.
Click to enlarge..
I think the Page Up/Down keys are different too.
kind regards

What is the f5 key on the macbookair?
What is the f5 key on the macbook air?
Your question really does not have anything to do with Apple networking.
However, the F5 key is used to lower the background lighting of the MacBook Air's keyboard. F6, on the other hand, raises the lighting level.
