What is the Dashboard? Is it something that works only thru Business Catalyst?
<rant> Why can't Adobe write a proper manual? And why can't Adobe give hyperlinks to its own help centres and to this forum? It took me five minutes to find this place? Every time I want to learn something I have to spend five minutes trying to remember how to get to the forum to ask it. Then I forget what I was going to ask. Most times when I want to know something about an Adobe program, I just Google it. There are all kinds of helpful people on the 'net who kindly explain all kinds of things about Adobe programs that Adobe can't seem to explain for itself. Doesn't give me much faith in Adobe's ability to write programs. None, in fact. I hate Adobe. Especially Illustrator, but everything else. I wish there were alternatives to Adobe but there aren't. So I'm just going to have express my frustration to users of this group. Sorry about that. I know I should just grow up, but I can't help myself. Anybody want to start an I hate Adobe support group? </rant>

Not sure what your Muse question is but like all Adobe products they have a link to help documents and to the forums right in the help menu in the program itself. Not sure how much easier they can make it?

Which one is the Dashboard tool in SAP BOBJ Client tool 4.1

I am unable to identify the 'Dashboard' in SAP BOBJ Client tool 4.1.
Please find the attached screen shot of all the items present in the complete Suite of BOBJ client 4.1

Hi Ranendra,
Dashboard Designer 4.1 will not be installed automatically with BO Client Tools 4.1. You need to install separately.You can download the Dashboard Designer 4.1 in SAP Market Place(http://service.sap.com).It will ask you license key,you can get temporary license keys for BusinessObjects tools in SAP Market place itself if didn't raise a request for permanent license keys.

You can download and install Dashbord widgets here > Apple - Downloads - Dashboard
No... widgets cannot be used directly on the Desktop.
Just click the Dashboard icon in your Dock to access installed widgets.

All applications were "?" On the dashboard after time machine restore to new hard drive...what went wrong?

Hi folks
I used the cmd R option on booting the MBP and did a disk scan and it reported errors that could not be fixed/repaired.
So I opted to install a brand new 1Tbyte Seagate hybrid hard drive and restore from my time machine backup.
So I installed the new drive in the MBP...it stated that it needed to restore from the internet and I was treated with a rotating globe for about 10 minutes.
It then gave the normal restore options and I opened to format the new drive as a mac drive etc...
Selected the most recent TM backup from USB drive and pointed it to the new formatted HD in the MBP.
So far so good I thought....it said it was restoring....
waited about 4.5 hours and apparently it completed when I was out so I did not see any messages just a normal looking mavericks desktop BUT with "?" In the dashboard where all the applications icons should be?????
I assume something went wrong somewhere so I reinstalled the old HD and restarted TM and it's not starting to backup all 493Gbyte of disk whichI. Understand is normal after a full restore.
So...what to do now??? I'll wait for the 7 odd hours of TM to complete but how best should I proceed with the new HD etc...should I reinstall and copy mavericks to it from a memory stick and then attempt a new restore from the recent TMS backup? Or will this cause issues....
I also have an Inateck hard drive cloning device (brand new never used) so I had wondered if I should simply install the old drive and new drives into this and start the cloning mechanism? OR will this simply clone the errors that were reported on the old drive when it was in the MBP?
In short I'm not sure what to do for the best now and would welcome helpful suggestions as to how to proceed.

Last night after the new 493 Gbyte time machine completed. I once again installed the new drive and restarted the MBP ...waited 10 min for the internet to download the basic disk utilities...restarted the restore from TM and waited 6 hours...Happy days it worked perfectly and like a rocket...the old disk had a read write speed of approx 50-60 Mb/s the new one (hybrid drive) measures at 100-110 Mb/s...programmes open and close noticeably faster and it's better than when the MBP was new...
Apparently this new hybrid drive "learns" frequently used programmes and caches parts that improves start up time etc as time progresses etc...the MBP now starts from cold boot in less than 1 minute compared to 2 plus before...I know minutes should not really matter but it does improve the user experience. I should add I have 16G of RAM installed which does make a difference with Photoshop and Aperture etc.
Hope this helps others or at least encourages people to try hybrid drives over the much more expensive SSD option.

1) Use section name instead of Title View to name your report. This way sections can be collapsed and user can still see report name.
2) Enable alternate coloring in tables and pivots for easy readablity and set table and pivot widths to 100% (for reports in dashboards) to reduce white space and achieve a more "professional look."
3) Use column selectors and view selectors to reduce the width of reports and reduce the amount of columns user sees to a "practical minimum."

Go to system preferences, mission control, and unselect "Show Dashboard as a Space". While you're there, you may want to make dashboard set to a hot corner "Hot Corners" button at the bottom.

I tried to upload photos to Costco photo and was unsuccessful, since then I can not open my Iphoto on my desktop. It appears but goes right to the dashboard. A blue border is also around the entire IPhoto. What has happened?

Try trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder.
(On 10.7: Hold the option (or alt) key while clicking on the Go menu in Finder to access the User Library)
(Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)

This is a very long-to-answer question :)
A Data Mart is a subset of a Data Warehouse, specifically designed for a department for example, or to support certain reports. The Data Warehouse is where ALL the data available for analysis in your company is, is a super set from the Data Mart.
Then, we have SQL Server Analysis Services, which is a service which ships with SQL Server. It builds, ON TOP of the Data Warehouse or the Data Mart (or both) an OLAP solution in order to improve and enrich the reports, analytics and insights coming from
the data in the Data Warehouse / Data Mart.
That's the big picture, but:
- Is it necessary to have a Data Warehouse or a Data Mart to use SQL Server Analysis Services? NO
- Is it necessary to have SQL Server Analysis services to query and create reports from a Data Warehouse / Data Mart? NO
So, answering your question, there is no difference between SQL Service Analysis Services and a Data Mart because they are different things.
Then, yes, you can create a BI Dashboard in SharePoint 2013 without a SSAS cube behind. You can just use SQL Server Reporting Services or Performance Point Services to build dashboards in SharePoint 2013.

If you have another pointing device installed, remember that the Mac uses "all sources live". You can literally use two or more mice or two or more keyboards at once.
Your trackpad, if that is what you are using, must be very clean. Any debris may be seen as another "finger".

I am confussed about as what is the difference between SAP BI /BW implementation appraoch or BOJ approach .
Say if a company presently running ECC6 , want to go for implementing BI functionality , so that users can use effectively the SAP data for the routine decision making by using KPIs monitoring or DashBoard type functionality .
To have such a BI in place , do we require to implement BI / BW and then BOJ . Or only BOJ is enough , if so then what are the limitations .
