What is the default 4 digit factory security code on apple devices please ? is it 0000, 1111 ? i now have to wait 60 minutes to try again after 8 failed attempts. I dont believe i have set this code

can someone help please? I am trying to do a factory restore. I have tried the reboot/plug in to laptop and do it through itunes method and i got a failed message saying there was a glitch with the phone. I have never set a 4 digit security code in the settings menu where I could reset the device. I assume that there is a factory set 4 digit password as I have now tried every number that I would have used if I had set it myself. They are usual 0000, 1111 or something similar.
I really need this number to proceed without having to visit an apple store over 100 miles away.
thank you

I have never heard of a Factory 4-digit passcode.  If you are the original owner of the iPhone you will need to go into DFU Mode...
First:  Put the device into DFU mode.
DFU MODE STEPS
Hold the Power Button (3 secs)
Continue holding the power button and also hold the home button (15 secs)
Release the power button while continuing to hold the home button (10 secs)
Your device should prompt with the "Connect to iTunes Screen"
Second: Plug it into your computer and open iTunes. It will either prompt to restore and up date or you can manually restore using the following steps. IOS Restore Steps Before restoring:
Verify that you are using the latest version of iTunes.
Back up your device.
Transfer and sync content to your computer.
Restoring your iOS device
Connect your device to your computer.
Select your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch when it appears in iTunes. Select the Summary tab, and click the Restore button.
Click Restore.
After a restore, the iOS device restarts. You should then see "Slide to set up". Follow the steps in the iOS Setup Assistant.
If needed, restore your device from a previous backup.

    There's no default 4 digit code.
    You need to force iPad into Recovery Mode. Follow step 1 to 6 very closely.

  • Set the default field value to transaction code field, when calling from WD

    Hi all,
    Can we pass the value in a input field of a standard transaction calling from WD application. Suppose we are calling a transaction VA03 in an external window, then how will be pass the value in the VBAK_VBELN screen field.
    Is there any way to pass the value to this transaction field. I have also tried out to set the parameter ID 'AUN' for VA03 transaction VBELN field. But it did not work for me.
    Is there any way to set the default field value to transaction code field, when calling from WD?
    Please suggest, if anyone have any idea.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    I am using the below code to open a standard transaction. It will help you to explain my point more easily.
    DATA: url TYPE string,
              host TYPE string,
              port TYPE string.
    *Call below method to get host and port
      cl_http_server=>if_http_server~get_location(
         IMPORTING host = host
                port = port ).
    *create URL
      CONCATENATE 'http'
      '://' host ':' port
      '/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui/?sap-client=&~transaction=' 'VA03'
       INTO url.
    *get the window manager as we are opening t code in external window.
      DATA lo_window_manager TYPE REF TO if_wd_window_manager.
      DATA lo_api_component TYPE REF TO if_wd_component.
      DATA lo_window TYPE REF TO if_wd_window.
      lo_api_component = wd_comp_controller->wd_get_api( ).
      lo_window_manager = lo_api_component->get_window_manager( ).
    call the url which we created above
      lo_window_manager->create_external_window(
      EXPORTING
      url = url
      RECEIVING
      window = lo_window ).
      lo_window->open( ).
    Note*
    One more query I want to add to this thread, that is there any possibility to call a custom transaction as well?

    Hi
    I'm using java_1.6_13 on Linux 32 bit, and wondering what's the default setting of PermSize and MaxPremSize on JVM? I was thinking it was 64m on JVM1.5 and 128m on JVM1.6, but could not find any such on Sun docs? Can anyone confirm this?

    Well, if you run something like [http://java.sun.com/performance/jvmstat/|http://java.sun.com/performance/jvmstat/] against a Java application launched
    on Java 1.5 and then on Java 1.6
    you should be able to see for yourself.

    It's a Magic Mouse question. I have set this up in Preferences by ticking Swipe between pages with one finger and also Swipe between full-screen apps with two fingers,  however when I try to do the latter, the 2 finger swipe will take me from the app that I am on to the dashboard only and not to my other open apps.
    I also find that Smart zoom only works with some apps, for instance not with Word docs or email.
    How can I correct this please?

    Just figured out it also does not work with the Mail app.

  • What is the default screen brightness setting and keyboard backlight brightness default setting, and how to you go back to default?

    What is the default screen brightness setting and keyboard backlight default setting? I just got a new Macbook Air and fiddled a lot with it, and now just want to know how to set the brightness levels back to default. Thanks everyone!

    Hey sberman,
    I maxed out the screen brightness before I clicked on "restore defaults" in system preferences> energy saver (which has to do with battery, not exactly screen brightness) to see if the screen went back to a "normal" brightness level, but it didn't. I don't think it restored the brightness to default..

  • What is the default password in java keystore?

    Hi!
    I want to add my cert to java keystore (/Library/Java/Home/lib/security/cacerts) but i need the default password.
    I readed much forum topic, but 'changeme' and 'changeit' not working.
    I have a clean system, i dont changed th password.
    Also possible to add keychain certs to java keystore?
    Thank You!

    kiran666, iOS devices will ask for a password if either you have set a screen-lock password OR you or your parents have set a restriction password. If you cannot get this password, and you have "find my iphone" turned on, use the "whip" option. It will reset to it's factory settings. If you do not, I suggest you do what KiltedTim suggested and put your iPhone in DFU mode or restore mode by simply holding home and power until the restore icon appears on the phone and restore using iTunes.

  • What is the default password on Pet Store 1.3 when rebuilt?

    I am unable to log into either the administrator client or the receiver application after rebuilding the WebLogic Server Pet Store Application. Neither jps_admin/admin nor rsvr/rcvr works. I saw a post referencing security.xml, but that file does not appear to be in this package
    The default passwords worked when I used just the Pet Store template and prebuilt application, but the admin client would wait forever trying to get data, even when the client was ran from the same box as the server.
    I am running WebLogic Server/Express 7.0 with SP7 for RHEL on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4, Update 3 x86.
    What should the default login names be? Or even better, if someone has seen the admin client unable to get data, how do you solve that?

    On my painfully new 11.1.2 install, and per the install instructions, the username and password are as follows:
    epm_admin
    whatever you set up -- (As I only ever use one of three different ones when I do installs, it wasn't too hard to go through all of the possibilities)
    See: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17236_01/epm.1112/epm_install/frameset.htm?webLogicDomainName.html

  • What is the default buffer size if we dont specify in buffer write?

    If we dont specify what is the default buffer size in BufferedWriter. How to increase/decrease the size of it?
    What is the purpose of flush?
    If flush() is not used, only partial content is written to the file. Is it because of the default size of the buffer.

    THis is the bufferedwriter class, it helps to look at them, look at the bold underlined, thats answers your defualt buffer size

    * Write text to a character-output stream, buffering characters so as to
    * provide for the efficient writing of single characters, arrays, and strings.
    * <p> The buffer size may be specified, or the default size may be accepted.
    * The default is large enough for most purposes.
    * <p> A newLine() method is provided, which uses the platform's own notion of
    * line separator as defined by the system property <tt>line.separator</tt>.
    * Not all platforms use the newline character ('\n') to terminate lines.
    * Calling this method to terminate each output line is therefore preferred to
    * writing a newline character directly.
    * <p> In general, a Writer sends its output immediately to the underlying
    * character or byte stream. Unless prompt output is required, it is advisable
    * to wrap a BufferedWriter around any Writer whose write() operations may be
    * costly, such as FileWriters and OutputStreamWriters. For example,
    * <pre>
    * PrintWriter out
    * = new PrintWriter(new BufferedWriter(new FileWriter("foo.out")));
    * </pre>
    * will buffer the PrintWriter's output to the file. Without buffering, each
    * invocation of a print() method would cause characters to be converted into
    * bytes that would then be written immediately to the file, which can be very
    * inefficient.

    What Flush(); does
    Example, you have a file called c, your writer is b and buffereredwriter is a. so your programs calls a, a talks to b, and b talks to c. when you call the Flush method, the information is sent to the outfile which is c immediately before you even close the file, because when you write to the file, it does not write directly, it writes to a buffer, so flush actually causes the buffer to write to file. Also if you call the close method on that file without the flush, the buffer will still get flushed.
    consider BufferedWriter c = new BufferedWriter(new PrintWriter("c:\\c"));
    you wrap printwriter into a buffered writer, now if you close this "connection" to the file, the buffer will get flushed, noting that all the data is sitting in the buffered and not yet in the file, and this happens if something dont break...

  • What is the default value of EO_INBOUND_PARALLEL

    Hi Gurus,
    We are on PI 7.0 EHP 1. We have not set the parameter EO_INBOUND_PARALLEL. Does this mean there is only one inbound queue registered by default if the default value is 1? However, I seem to recall that when we had issues with messages stuck in queues, I have seen more than one XBTI8 queues.
    Please help me with my doubt. thanks!

    Hi,
    Thanks for the replies.
    How about the parameter EO_INBOUND_TO_OUTBOUND and EO_OUTBOUND_PARALLEL?
    I assume by default EO_INBOUND_TO_OUTBOUND is set to 1?
    Then what is the default value for EO_OUTBOUND_PARALLEL? Plus to set this parameter you need to specify the receiver, in this case, is it true that EO_OUTBOUND_PARALLEL is not set at all so only one outbound queue? this does not make sense. Or maybe by default EO_INBOUND_TO_OUTBOUND is set to 0 so EO_OUTBOUND_PARALLEL is not used at all?
    Thanks.
