What is the default font defined by JSR 226-SVG Scalable Vector Graphics

The question is briefly as follows
Do we have to include <font></font> tag inside the SVG file?
Or is there any default font available to use?

The default font name is ArialNarrow

    What is the default font for I-books author, the one brest to choose so that book is readable om an i-pad. Is it Helvetica 14? How about the paragraph pf text that introduces each chapter (it is a larger font, I believe) Thanks.

    It depends on the template and the part of the text.  Just click your mouse on the text and you should see the font name in the format bar at the top.

    I upgraded from a previous version of OS X and my mail program uses:
    - Message list font: System Font Regular 12
    - Message font: Helvetica 12

    Are these the default fonts for a clean install of Yosemite?

    Yes.

  • What are the default font settings for 7.0.1 I have messed with them a bit and now my text is blotchy. I want to start clean.

    I tried to adjust font settings to a font that I prefer and a size I can read. It was all kind of messed up so I searched what the default settings should be to start at ground zero again which I found but now it is worse. The main issue is that text is blotchy, dark some places, light another. Monitor is new so it's not issue. What exactly are the Default settings for 7.0.1 I'm not sure mine are correct ??? What other things can I look at if the default doesn't improve everything? I have Windows 7 and turning clear text on or help has no effect. PLEASE HELP ???

    You can see the defaults in a screenshot in this KB article:
    * https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Some+text+shows+up+bold+after+upgrade
    You can check the font setting in: Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced
    Default Font: Times New Roman (16)
    Fonts for : Western
    Proportional: Serif (16)
    Serif : Times New Roman
    Sans-serif : Arial
    Monospace : Courier New (13)

    Are there any problems reported in the Graphics section at the bottom of the Help > Troubleshooting Information page?
    If you have an ATI graphics display try to disable "Morphological Filtering" in the Catalyst display driver:
    * Catalyst Control Center > 3D Settings > Disable Morphological Filtering
    Try to disable hardware acceleration.
    *Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
    If disabling hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.

  • What is the default font?

    And by default I mean this one on the board pictured here. I want to use that font on Firefox and Windows in general, but I can't seem to find. I thought maybe it's just a difference in the way the two browsers handle text rendering, but I don't know...

    Thanks!

    The only two fonts used in the page are Arial and Helvetica.. and yes the fonts do get rendered differently in Safari. They are a little thicker, but not bold.
    Information comes from the sites CSS styles and code.

  • HT2506 What is the default font preview uses when viewing a PDF?

    I am annotating text in a pdf but I can't seem to match the font that preview is using.  Any ideas?
    Thanks.

    It uses the fonts that are in the PDF...the ones that were used in the document that the PDF was created from.

  • What defines the default font?

    What defines the default font used in an applet besides the font.properties file? I'm running an applet on two NT systems with identical font.properties files but the applets use two different fonts. Is there an OS setting in NT that would override the default in Java?

    To my best of knowledge, it's completely contained in the font.properties file. At least for jdk118. You can always create and define other fonts in your font.properties file even going to the extent of removing the ones you don't like probably but I haven't done that. I have added new fonts to the font.properties file and then set what ever component you are using to this new font. So to create a new font to use on a button and add the button to a panel.
    p1 = new JPanel();
    Font bf = new Font("comic",Font.BOLD,16);
    JButton bj = new JButton(label);
    bj.setFont(bf);
    bj.addActionListener(this);
    p1.add(bj);
    Note that in my font.properties file I added the following line:
    comic.0=Comic Sans MS, ANSI_CHARSET
    joberoni

  • What is the default theme font for ea & cs?

    Hi all;
    This was not answered before. Is this specified now?
    If the theme.xml file is as follows (which Word usually does):
    <a:minorFont>
    <a:latin typeface="Calibri"/>
    <a:ea typeface=""/>
    <a:cs typeface=""/>
    What font is used for:
    <w:rFonts w:asciiTheme="minorBidi" w:hAnsiTheme="minorBidi"/>
    I'm seeing Arial for a test case and I have no idea where that's coming from.
    ??? - thanks - dave
    What we did for the last 6 months -
    Made the world's coolest reporting & docgen system even more amazing

    Hello Dave,
    I couldn't download your test case (404), but I made a similar one.
    theme1.xml:
          <a:minorFont>
            <a:latin typeface="Calibri" panose="020F0502020204030204"/>
           <a:ea typeface=""/>
            <a:cs typeface=""/>
          </a:minorFont>
    document.xml:
          <w:r>
            <w:rPr>
                <w:rFonts w:asciiTheme="minorBidi" w:hAnsiTheme="minorBidi" />
            </w:rPr>
            <w:t>test</w:t>
          </w:r>
    This resulted in Times New Roman when I opened the document, which is in line with what I see in [MS-OI29500] §2.1.87/c:
    [begin quote:
    c. The standard states that the default fonts for the ascii, hAnsi, cs, and eastAsia attributes are application-defined.
    Word uses a default font of Times New Roman for all of these attributes. --end quote]
    I'm not sure why you're seeing Arial in your document. If you get that to me with a different link or via dochelp email, I'll be glad to investigate it further. EDIT: I was able to correct the link. I'll see if I can determine what's going on with the font
    selection for this document.
    Best regards,

  • Does anyone know what the default font is for MacMail?

    Does anyone know what the default font is for the Mail program? My son changed my mail font and I want to change it back, but I can't remember what the original default is! Anyone? Thanks!

    I rarely use Mail (normally use Gmail in Safari) so I am 99.99% sure mine is still at the default. It is Helvetica 12.

  • Oh!  Then what I want to do is change the default font on my email, documents etc.  how do I do that.

    Hi stom353,
    If you would like to change the fonts in Mail, you may find the following article helpful (the font options are located under menu bar item Mail => Preferences => Fonts & Colors):

  • What's the default console font?

    And what size/weight is it? I used to think this font was ugly and unfriendly, but I've grown more attached to it over time. I would also like to use this same font in X, as my urxvt/xterm default font. Is this possible?

    I tried various combinations of Fixed, and I think that's the font, but the closest I got was size 15 bold. The problem is it's still too wide and some of the glyphs are off. I remember reading about the default font in Windows Powershell and most Linux Consoles on Wikipedia, but I can't remember what it said
    If only I knew! There might even be a truetype version floating around the net.

  • How do you change the default font in Illustrator CS5?

    I have upgraded my Illustrator to CS5 and my default font has changed to a strange font. In Photoshop and InDesign, I was told that all you have to do is change the font in the Character menu to the font that you wish to be set as "default" and it will be the font that you always start with.
    NOTE: Does this mean that if I use a different font in a different document, the font will stay that font unless I change it back? Isn't there a way to make a particular font the font that I would always what I start with? All this setup means, is that the "default font" will always be whatever the last font that  was being used was. There has to be a way to make a default font that I will always start with no matter what the last font that was being used was.
    Illustrator gives you no option on font type, unless a file is open. Then, if you change the font and close the file, next time you start a file, it will go back to what is was to begin with. There has to be a way to change the default font for all of these programs to where the font always stays the same unless you change it. Mine is just set to use a weird font that I would probably never use.
    I just never thought it would be that big of a deal to change default settings for the font.

    Okay, I basically made three different documents and I made sure that I had everything chosen in each. I then saved the three to that file and they now appear in the list:
    Settings for all 3:
    72psi, 150psi and 300psi
    Rulers Visable
    Times New Roman
    12pt
    14.4pt
    I then went in and started three new documents. I used the three different New Document Profile's that I made and they all had Rulers, their sizes were correct, but the font stayed Myriad Pro. Did I miss anything? And, Yes, I did change the font and the setting before I saved them in the New Document Profile.
    One other thing, I did create a file in the folder, but it was spelled incorrectly. I then went into the folder, erased it and made a second. Then, I went to open it in IllustratorCS5 and it was still listed. I went to the file and it wasn't there anymore, but it was still listed in the New Document Profile. Is there a way to get it off of the list or is all I have to do is restart Illustrator?
