What is the default icon size for macbook pro 13 inch?

I have the 13 inch macbook pro, its not the retina. What is the default icon size for it? I accidently changed it on the show view options.

The default size is not related to the Mac Model, it's related to the OS X version. For Snow Leopard it's 48x48 pixels.
For Lion and Mountain Lion it's 64x64.
You can choose the size that is right for you. I typically use either 32x32 or 36x36. Some prefer larger some prefer smaller. It's up to you.
I've always found the default sizes to be too big for my taste.

What is the best anti~virus foe macbook pro?

None whatsoever. I'm sure that you've heard the line that "Macs don't get viruses"? That's almost true - Macs can be infected with malware, however, and can pass viruses onto PCs. See Thomas Reed's Mac Malware Guide. The only two virus packages that are usually recommended are both free - Sophos and ClamXav. If you feel that you need AV software, try one or both.

Can someone please tell mewhich is the best antivirus program for macbook pro?

    Hi..
Both Sophos Anti-Virus for Mac and ClamXav are recomended and both are free.
Actually, malware is more of a threat on a Mac than a virus.

  • What's the maximum memory ram for Macbook Pro?

    Hello,
May I know what's the maximum memory ram capacity for Macbook Pro?
I am having Macbook Pro - 2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    Thank you!
    Alvin

Hate to resurrect a dead horse but....I was looking in the instructions for memory upgrades and the instructions specified that the computer will only recognize 3 gigs. Will that still be in effect if I upgrade to Snow Leopard when it becomes available? Or do I need to save my pennies for a Mac Pro? What I am getting at is: is the reason for the RAM cap due to software issues, 64 bit not being native, different version of leopard used on notebooks, or is it due to hardware issues.

  • What is the optimum screen resolution for Macbook Pro 15 inch?

Natively you'll get a resolution of 1440 x 900 or you can pay for an upgrade  to 1680 x 1050(current models).

  • What is the best external drive for Macbook Pro?

Migration Assistant is not moving files from my Macbook OS X 10.5.8 to My new Macbook Pro just purchased. Apple Support suggested I transfer thru an external drive. They suggested a 1 TB. They said it would be sufficient for migration and afterward for back up and storage of media and pics. What would be the best one for this purpose?
    Thank You

Go to OWC and purchase a drive and an enclosure. Put it together yourself. Takes about five minutes and a screwdriver. Or you can purchase one already complete from them if you prefer.

  • What are the parallels memory requirements for MacBook Pro?

I am looking to buy a new MacBook Pro - either 13 or 15 inch model.  I will be running Parallels with Win 8 and MS Office Pro.  The 13 inch MBP only comes with 8 GB - the 15 inch with 16 GB, but it is expensive.
Can I get by with 8GB and an i7 processor on the 13 Retina?

Currently Windows in Parallels works fine with 8GB, but now that the RAM limit gloves are off with 64bit processors and operating systems Apple and others are bloating their operating systems and associated programs (like web browsers etc) as to keep the likes of Google's Chrome browser from being turned into a platform.
So in simple terms the 16GB and the better performance of the 15" is going to save you money in the long run as you will have to buy a newer machine less often, also it has a dedicated graphics processor so 3D games and other more intensive graphics can be used. Even for normal use the 15" runs cooler than the 13" as the two heat sources are separate on the logicboard.
The 15" also has a larger screen, so it's easier to use, also it will run more than one operating system a lot better than the 13" will.
Also the 15" will be able to handle more OS X upgrades than the 13" as Apple releases a new one every year or two.

  • What is the best internet brower for Macbook Pro?

I got my macbook pro a couple month ago, since day 1, i have had the following problems:
I can't get in some websites I want, or it takes "forever" to get in.
the page gets "freeze" often, and I have to turn it off to fix it.
I get the "rainbow wheel" a lot when I m browing on the internet or even on iphoto, or photo booth
when I turn on my comptuer, it takes so relatively long to start...
I was wondering if this is internet problem?? or the macbook itself s problem??
I download opera brower, it works a lot better than safari, but still I got frustrated for the above problem!!!
please help, I m having a nice notebook, but it seems useless most of the time.
    thanks!

You should have no problems using Safari browser. Naturally it all depends upon your internet connection and you ISP's service.

  • What is the best operating system for Macbook pro intel core 2 duo, 2.66 GHz, 4 GB ram?

Is the os x Mavericks can be installed for my macbook pro (intel core 2 duo, 2.66 GHz, 4 GB ram?) ?

  • HT1338 what is the idle system preference for macbook pro

I want to know the best system prefrence set up for Mac pro. I upgraded to lion and ever since my chat gets disabled sunddenly and I cannot type anymore

There is no "best" system preference set up.
If you have problems with Lion try this first:
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions - Lion/Mountain Lion
    Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported then click on the Repair Permissions button. When the process is completed, then quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.
If iChat is the only application with which you have a problem, then try deleting the /Home/Library/Preferences/com.apple.ichat.com preference file in case it's corrupted.
If this doesn't seem to help then you might try reinstalling Lion:
Reinstalling Lion/Mountain Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

  • What is the default heap size in a oc4j instance

    Hi There,
I am wondering what is the default heap size for an oc4j instance if you don't specify -Xms and -Xmx?
    Thanks,
    Xingsheng

If you're using the Sun JDK 1.4 I believe the max is 64MB. Not sure about 5.0. It's really dependent on the JVM you're using, not OC4J.

  • How do I change the default paper size for printing?

I am running Firefox 3.6.3. Recently, the default paper size for printing unexpectedly changed to a user-defined size of 3.00" x 4.57". It used to be letter size (8.5 x 11). The default paper size is 8.5 x 11 for everything else. I have tried changing the size in the preferences dialog box and then clicking "default", but after I close Firefox or if Firefox opens a new window, the default size switches back to 3.00" x 4.57". Does anyone know how to fix this?
    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened
    == About 2 weeks ago

In "mine" dutch firefox 3.6.12 there is no option to change paper-size see
"about:config" Promise to be careful (and be!) Enter "print.postscript.paper_size" gives a empty screen
    "paper_size" gives a few results
What about the numbers 4259872, 4784247 and what is the meaning of
    paper_size, paper_size_type , paper_size_unit
