What is the default IP address of the HSE/H1 Linking Device?

I am evaluating an NI FBUS-HSE/H1 Linking Device. I am using a PC (not a DHCP server) to communicate to the FBUS-HSE/H1 but the PC cannot detect the device. When not assigned an IP address by a DHCP server, does the FBUS-HSE/H1 have a default IP address? If so, what is it? If not, is there a simple work-around?
Chris

Hi Chris / Sean,
I assume that you mean you got a freebee DHCP "server" & not "client", as most PCs are clients.
Any chance you could direct me to the "freebee" as I have tried a few free ones for this problem but
have had no luck.
Currently I am using an old ADSL modem that has a DHCP server, but it means another box stuck
on the network.
I am also hoping that NI will allow future versions of the LD to boot with a "default" address as most
other LDs now do (something like 10.0.0.1-254 range would be nice).
Sean - is this on the wish list for a future S/W upgrade. Just about everyone that has tried to get
one of these LDs running has come up against this "non-standard" arrangement.

  • What is the «iPhoto Library link» file for ?

Hi ...  In the Pictures (Images in French) folder, what is the «iPhoto Library link» alias file for ?  It points to the «iPhoto Library»in the same folder.

Robert, the link (alias) you are seeing is not created automatically by iPhoto. It must have been created accidentally. Perhaps you tried to repair your iPhoto library by holding down the key combination option-command ⌥⌘. if you dragged the library a little while doing this, it could have created this alias, because holding down these keys and dragging is one of the ways to create aliases.

  • What is the maximum number of devices that can be connected with FaceTime?

I have tried to find in theh Apple web pages the maximum number of devices that one can connect to with FaceTime. Specifically, how many iPad2 or iPad (new) devices can connect to each other with FaceTime? What about an older iMac running Mountain Lion with iPads? Or, iPhone4s and iPads? Thanks for any information you can provide.

I don't know of any limit, as long as each device has its own individual identification ( e-mail address, or phone number for iphones)

  • What are the digital publishing supported devices ?

can any one told me what  the devices are supported the digital publishing ( mobile devices and tablet device ) with the pixel dimensions for each please ... or any one know any article or web site can tell me that info ?

If you mean phone handsets then there is no Adobe viewer for them.
The only 3 supported platforms are ipad, Android Tablet and Blackberry Playbook.
The Playbook resolution is 1024x600 like the droids.
The Iphone and iPod touch don't have a viewer.  You can output to flash, if the device supports it but the lack of zoom makes it uncompelling.
If you have Device Central as part of your suite, it includes a very wide database of mobile devices and their capabilities.  I'd start there. But DPS will not run on them as it stands today...

  • What is the difference between "FCAlias" & "Device-Alias"?

What are the main differences between FCAlias and Device-Alias?
I think Device-Alias is used in Enhanced Mode and for IVR? What about FCAlias when would you use them instead of Device-Alias?
    Thanks.

FCaliases are used to associate 1 or more PWWNs to a user friendly name. FCaliases are VSAN specific, so if a device is moved from VSAN 1 to VSAN 2, you should delete the FCalias in VSAN 1 and create a new one in VSAN 2. FCalias will interoperate with some non-Cisco fibre channel switches. FCaliases are propagated via a zoneset activate (assuming the zoneset distrubute is set to full zoneset)
Device aliases associate 1 PWWN to a user friendly name. They are not vsan sepcific, and can be used for other features beside zoning. Device Aliases are configured manually in each switch, or can be propagated via Cisco Fabric Services...AKA CFS.
There is a Device Alias mode known as enhanced mode, which is not enabled unless configured. With enhanced mode device alias, if an HBA is associated with a device alias, and that device alias is placed into 20 zones, then that HBA fails and is replaced so the PWWN changes, you can edit the device alias database and that will push the new PWWN into the 20 zones automatically.
Without enhanced mode device alias, you would need to edit all 20 zones to use the new device alias, or the new PWWN in this example.
    Hope this helps,
    Mike

  • I can't use facetime on any device, since March, what is the problem? All devices are up to date

When I try to facetime another iphone, ipad, or mac, I can't it rings and says connect and then all of a sudden it says the other person is unavailable. It happens when someone calls me and when I call someone. All my devices are up to date, I am not sure what the problem is.

If both you and the person  you are calling have the latest version of iOS, then read through this article to see if anything helps.

  • What is the current state of device mounting in Arch?

I'm about to install Arch on a new laptop (yay, Christmas!). On my desktop I have HAL and udisks installed and Thunar-devel and PCManFM.
So basically, I don't know what is actually required to do what...
Can somebody give me the 1-2-3's of how I *should* set up my new laptop for use with Openbox to have CD's and USB sticks automounted. Is HAL needed for power management stuff?

    useradded wrote:
A few conclusions I came to in my looking into automounting:
    (1) HAL is deprecated and most projects seem to be moving away from it, so there seems little point in basing a new automounting setup on HAL.  As far as I know, HAL is not needed for power management.
    (2) I have been unable to find a lightweight, stable file manager that automounts with udisks, although I believe the thunar-devel you're using does.
    (3) Udev rules are the simplest, cleanest solution to automounting usb HDD/sticks.  I use a slightly modified version of the rules in our esteemed wiki.  I have not been able to get CDs to automount using udev rules, however all I ever do with CDs is ripping and that doesn't require mounting.
I use openbox too, by the way.  I hope this is of some use.
That's exactly the kind of info I was looking for.
    Unfortunately Thunar-devel doesn't want to auto-mount my CD's either

  • What is the direct download link for iTunes 11.4 32 Bit for Windows?

Everytime I click to download itunes from the main page (www.apple.com/itunes/download) , the download doesn't start, just brings me to the thank you downloading page after clicking DOWNLOAD ITUNES NOW button. But if i get the direct link, i could enter it into my address bar, the download would initiate. Does anyone know how to fix this on either my computer, or simply know the address where it is located so I could get iTunes 11.4 for my ipad mini with IOS 8.0.2 on it?

Sorry it doesn't download in 15 min.  I'm on a slow connection (5Mbit).
If I have a direct link I can get it with a download manager in about 4 hours for a 5GB download.
iTunes and app store takes 2 days because the bandwidth is throttled to 10% of the available bandwidth by osx.  App store and iTunes will time out and it is impossible to recover/resume downloads with apple software - apple forces you to download from the beginning after it times out.
Apple software for OSX and IOS are terrible for downloading large files on a slow network connection.  I don't think its reasonable to have to leave a computer running 24-48 hours to download something that can be downloaded in 4 hours.

  • What is the difference among link table toa01, toa02 and toa03?

Can experts explain their functionalities?  Thanks!

There is no difference among the 3 tables.  The three tables are provided by default to allow flexibility for storing link entries across different database areas.
Additional Link tables can be created asa long as they use TOAV0 as a template.
