What is the default name of the folder where the cache (i.e. Firefox's temporary internet files) is stored?

What is the default name of the folder where the cache (i.e. Firefox's temporary internet files) is stored? Basically, what folder is Firefox's equivalent of Temporary Internet Files?

You can find the location of the cache on the about:cache page (open that page via the location bar like a website).
Only large image and media files are stored as individual files on disk.<br />
Other files are stored in a few large container files (_CACHE_XXX_) in the cache folder and not as separate files on disk.<br />
The individual files on disk have random names without a file extension for security reasons: you can't open an application or start a downloaded virus inadvertently by clicking a file in the cache folder.<br />
You can look at this extension for easier access to files in the cache.

  • I have an error when creating new folders, it renames the folder below it to the same name (super - next folder - parent's next sibling...)

if I try to add a new folder to a sub folder, the program does add the new bookmark folder, but it also renames the next folder in line in the parent of the original "subfolder" to the exact same name...
maybe I just need to reload the mozilla, maybe I was hacked and that is what they changed...
I also have a similar problem with microsoft explorer, every time I try to add a new folder it gives it a starting wierd name besides "New Folder"

Which security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have?
Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps and allows to delete the Firefox program folder.

  • How can we change the default folder location (avoiding problems with Temporary Internet Files)

(Environment in question: Windows 7 secure desktop (running as user not admin), Office 2010)
    Hello,
As has been touched on in various forums (such as here: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/797451), when one opens a PDF attachment in Outlook, Acrobat and Reader store the file in the "Temporary Internet Files" folder (f/k/a OLK folder in previous versions of Outlook.  There are two major problems with this:
First, as Microsoft has documented in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/817878, attachments end up here staying here under certain conditions (go checks your now, you'll find some!), which ends up being a file attachment no man's land, and that can present security risks (e.g. if data we thought was deleted still lives in that folder).
Secondly, the first time you open an attachment in Acrobat and do a Save As, Acrobat is defaulting to the Temporary Internet Files location.  This folder (as noted in the thread linked above) is ridiculously hard to get to for the average user, so they can end up storing a file and then losing it.
We've found that if we open Acrobat once, do a save as, and change to the users Documents folder, the change sticks.  But how can we have Acrobat default to Documents instead of that temporary location?
      Any help is greatly appreciated.

Have you check to see if Acrobat sets a registry entry or file preference for the first Save As?  That's where I would start looking.  Process Monitor is a good tool for this.

Where can I find documentation on Photoshop's API? (I want o make tools for it - javascript)

Forgive me for not looking into your Maya-specific links, but one can automate Photoshop using JavaScript indeed (on Windows also VB, on Mac also AppleScript).
Not everything can be automated naturally, but a lot – and it can really speed up many tasks; and with the »small« repetitive ones like saving copies off of files etc. combining Scripts with Configurator Panels can be especially convenient.
There is a Scripting Forum over at
    http://forums.adobe.com/community/photoshop/photoshop_scripting
As for plugins: it's something I would like to learn some day (I guess you would have to go with Flash and AS3 for making actual plugins)
I think you might also have to learn C++ or C.
There is Forum the contributors to which might be able to give you pointers if you get to that.

  • Changing the Default name of DVD Disk in OneStep

Is it possible to change the default name of the disk that is burned on iDVD 6 "OneStep DVD" ???
the default disk name becomes "IDVDONESTEPDVD"...
I make lots of DVD with OneStep and would like the name created to be different.
Is this possible and if so...How??
    Thanks for your advice...

Not sure if this is possible or not but did you already check the iDVD6 Help Menu and try the following?
Choose Project > Project Info. Type the new name in the Disc Name box.
If this approach isn't possible, then it's likely not a very good idea to change its default title. Good luck.

  • How can i change the default settings in km folder 'favorites'?

    Dear experts,
i have a question about the default settings in the KM folder 'favorites' (to the portal favorites iview):
Over 'Details' in the default settings it's possible to activate the option 'manual ordering'. Then, all users can sort and order their portal favorites. But in the default settings of this folder the on top known option is not standardically activatet!!
How can i activate this option as default eg. automatically at once for all Users??
Under Content Administration > KM-Content > root > userhome > userXY > folder 'favorites': context menue > details: settings > manual ordering it's for each user adjustable. But if you have for example 5.000 users in the pcd of the portal it's a lot of and stupid work.
Thank you very much for all your answers or idears of developement.

    Hello Mr. Urs,
thanks for your comment. But I have offered this solution already to my department. They are not contented with it because they fears it would be too complicated for the single user.
The layout set of the iview 'portal favorites' is changeable. The real main (entrance) portal application (PAR-file) 'com.sap.km.cm' with his component 'navigation' (portalapp.xml) only very hard!!
Is it to be put on possibly a higher folder with inheritance on the folders specific for user 'Favorites'?
Or do you know whether is there release with support package stack that contain this already ("upgrade")?
    Thanks a lot again.
    Many greetings

  • Wiring the default name on File Dialog causes an error 43

    LabView 8.5 Pro:
I placed an express file dialog on my diagram. I wired the start path and ran my vi. As expected the open file dialog box appears, however if I wire the default name to the vi the dialog box does not display and generates an error 43. The default file name I am wiring is CT_TE5000001.xlsm. This was working fine on my previous LabView 6.1. I didn't see any entries on the known bug list. Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Thank you for the reply.
    I found my problem.
There was a \r\n appended to part of my default file name which caused it to cancel the file dialog.
The filename was CT_TE5000001\r\n.xlsm instead of the desired CT_TE5000001.xlsm.
