What is the difference between Classic and Extended Withholding Tax

Hi,
Can some please tell me what is the difference between Classic Withholding and Extended Withholding Tax. How can I look at the Withholding Tax deducted from a particular invoice?
Number Guaranteed.
Thanks.

Dear Prem,
Withholding tax is the basically a tax withheld during the Vendor payment. So when making the payment to vendor the amount will be deduct (i.e withheld tax)
from the invoice and paid. The customer is actually the tax to tax authorities.
you can visit for more info.
Withholding Tax
For the config steps you go to the IMG path FI > Financila accounting for the Global settings > Withholding Tax
Withholding tax configuration is done by FI person.
Hope this helps you

  • What is the difference between WDS and Extending a network?

    What is the difference between the two? Why choose one over the other?

    Both the WDS and "Extend a wireless network setting will add more coverage area to a wireless network.
    WDS must be used if any device on the network is an older "g" device. The downsides to WDS are that it drops the overall wireless speed down to "g" levels (even if there are other newer "n" routers on the network) and cuts the bandwidth capability of the network in half for each "remote" device that is added to the network. That's a really severe loss in performance.
    "Extend a wireless network" is a newer technology that can be used only if all of the routers on the network are newer "n" capable devices. It allows full "n" speeds and imposes only a small bandwidth penalty on the network. Obviously, this is the setup to use if your devices will support the technology.

  • What's the difference between classic and tlf text?

    Tried doing some googling, and beyond some non-descript answers of TLF has more functionality and causes a lot of bugs I can't find the difference between the 2.
    Wondering if I should switch all my text boxes to classic, if it would save some resources.

    Been fiddling with classic text, how do give it a name to edit it in code? There are certain aspects of TLF I am using like to display stats of a selected object or change it's backgroundColor.  For the most part I can recreate the functionality I'm using through other means, but how do I update text if it doesn't have a name?
    (added)
    Found how to do it, needed to change it to dynamic.  Thanks again for the help.

  • What's the difference between WDS and Extend Wireless Network?

    Hi,
    I have a situation where my main computer (Mac Pro) is wired to an Extreme (n), and I have an Express (n) in another room in the house to Bridge to other computers for better wireless reception.
    The manuals say I should be connecting the wireless computer via WDS. The way I have it connected right now is as such.
    Extreme:
    Create a wireless network
    Allow this network to be extended is checked
    Express:
    Extend a wireless network
    Allow wireless clients is checked
    Is the above method correct, or should I be setting the Extreme and Express via: Participate in a WDS network?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks!

    I am not an expert on wireless networks but here is what they do in a nut shell:
    WDS is a network composed by access points that work together to expand your network without the need of "wired" connectivity. so one of the bases will be wired, the rest are not , they just relay info to other computers... good for small to medium size business / homes
    EWN is a network composed of wired & wireless networks/access points that work together to expand your network. pretty much you could have 5+ bases plugged in to a LAN / WAN covering different areas of your company / home (long range for medium / big business / Bill Gate's home, etc.).

  • Classic and Extended Withholding tax

    Hi,
    Can anybody explain me what is the differance between classic and extended withholding tax.
    Rds,
    javed

    Hi
    Text from SAP documentation
    SAP provides you with two procedures for processing withholding tax:
    "Standard" and extended withholding tax.
    "Standard" withholding tax is the procedure that has always been supported by the system. It offers you the following features:
    Withholding tax for accounts payable
    Withholding tax calculation during payment
    Withholding tax code per vendor line item
    Extended withholding tax provides the following additional features:
    Multiple withholding taxes per customer or vendor line item
    Withholding tax calculation for partial payments
    Thank You,

  • Whats the difference between implements and extends!??

    Can an interface be extended or not??
    If it can whats the difference between implements and extends??
    Thank you!

    Code Sample:
    interface a implements aa{This is illegal. An interface cannot implement another interface. It can only extend another interface.
    interface a extends aa{That's the way to do it. As already said above:
    An interface can only extend another interface.
    A class can extend another class.
    A class can implement zero or more interfaces.
    So, "implements" is only used for classes that implement interfaces. For the rest, "extends" is used.

  • What is the difference between start() and run()

    Hi:
    what is the difference between start() and the run()???
    in my app, i have
    Console.debug( "starting thread to listen for clients" );
    _server = new Server( this );
    _server.start();
    _server extends Thread..
    why everytime i use server.start(); my app will terminate on it is own, even though in my servr.run() method, i have a while loop
    and if i call _server.run() explicitly in my code, that while loop will be in execution
    can someone let me know??
    thnx

    what is the difference between start() and the
    run()???start() is a method on Thread that tells it to start.
    run() is a method in the object that the thread executes.
    why everytime i use _server.start(); my app will
    terminate on it is own, Err.... I'm not convinced this is true. It'll throw an IllegalThreadStateException, if you try to restart an existing thread.
    If that's what you're saying.
    even though in my _servr.run()
    method, i have a while loopI don't see the connection. Are you saying that the while loop never terminates, and you don't see why the thread is terminating?
    and if i call _server.run() explicitly in my code,
    that while loop will be in executionIf you call server.run() explicitly, then run() will be executed in the same thread that you called it in.

  • Hi guru's what is the difference between table and temlate in smartforms

    hi guru's what is the difference between table and temlate in smartforms

    Hi Vasu,
    Template is used for proper allignment of data which table is used for displaying multiple data.
    We can say Template is for static data and Table is for dynamic data.
    Suppose we have a requirement in which we have to allign the customer address in such a way as shown below:-
    Name- Vasu Company- WIPRO Location- Chennai
    Desig- S/W Native - Mumbai
    Then for proper allighnment we can create a template and split that into 3 columns and 2 rows and create text elements for each cell display a proper allighned data at the output.
    When we include a template inside a loop it gives the same property as a table.
    When we have mutiple data which is to be extended to the next page like when we display all employee details in a company we use table.
    Table has 3 sections , HEADER, ITEM ,FOOTER
    The header secntion will be executed once and it will loop at the item level. at the end footer will be executed.
    Hope this gives u some idea..
    <b>Please reward if useful</b>

  • What Is The Difference Between A Router Extender & A Bridge?

    Since I was here, I just thought I'd ask what is the difference between a router extender like the RE 1000 and what is known as a bridge?  Does one work better than the other?  Is one better for one thing, like a wired DVD player, than the other?

    The RE1000 can act as range extender as well as bridge where as the versatile Wireless Ethernet Bridge can make a wired Ethernet-enabled device a part of your wireless network.
    If we talk abuot the functionality in the bridge mode, then in that case both will be same the only difference will be, WET610N will be getting DUAL frequency i.e. 2.4GHz and 5GHz from the wireless network if that is also a DUAL band.

  • What is the difference between #variable_name and :variable_name?

    Hi!
    What is the difference between #variable_name and :variable_name?
    I have found that if we use alphanumeric variable then :variable_name return value in quotes but #variable_name without quotes.
    Why it does not work in the same way for variable default values when variable is used in filter? (It works in mapping)
    I use variable in filter like T.OUT_DATE>convert(datetime,:LAST_UPDATE_DATE,121)
    When I use my variable in package and do refresh it works fine. But when I try to execute the same interface with variable default value I get error. Seems that variable name has been not changed to the value. It does not work with default value in quotes neither without quotes.
    Any ideas how to solve that?
    Thank you in advance!

    Question is how to make it work with default value, when I execute interface standalone, not in package? And why it works in mapping but not in filter?
    + I have found that it works if source is Oracle. It doesn't work only for MS SQL source.

  • What is the difference between exists and in

    hi all
    if i have these queries
    1- select ename from emp where ename in ( select ename from emp where empno=10)
    and
    2- select ename from emp where exists ( select ename from emp where empno=10)
    what is the difference between exists and in is that only when i use in i have to bring the field name or what.... i mean in a complex SQL queries is it will give the same answer
    Thanks

    You get two entirely different result sets that may be the same. Haah! What do I mean by that.
    SQL> select table_name from user_tables;
    TABLE_NAME
    BAR
    FOO
    2 rows selected.
    SQL> select table_name from user_tables where table_name in (select table_name from user_tables where table_name = 'FOO');
    TABLE_NAME
    FOO
    1 row selected.
    SQL> select table_name from user_tables where exists(select table_name from user_tables where table_name = 'FOO');
    TABLE_NAME
    BAR
    FOO
    2 rows selected.So, why is this? the WHERE EXISTS means 'if the next is true', much like where 1=1 being always true and 1=2 being always false. In this case, where exists could be TRUE or FALSE, depending on the subquery.
    WHERE EXISTS can be useful for something like testing if we have data, without actually having to return columns.
    So, if you want to see if an employee exists you might say
    SELECT 1 FROM DUAL WHERE EXISTS( select * from emp where empid = 10);
    If there is a row in emp for empid=10, then you get back 1 from dual;
    This is what I call an 'optimistic' lookup because the WHERE EXISTS ends as soon as there is a hit. It does not care how many - only that at least one exists. It is optimistic because it will continue processing the table lookup until either it hits or reaches the end of the table - for a non-indexed query.

    Rob Cole's ExifMeta plugin displays the Subject Distance field (and much more).  Unfortunately, his Web site appears to be down again.  He used to be very active here, but he hasn't posted in several months.

    @bontistic: it is not true that only the Macbook Air supports Thunderbolt. All models(!) support thunderbolt: also the Macbook Pro's and Mini's. Eg.: http://www.apple.com/nl/macbookpro/features.html#thunderbolt
    My Macbook Pro from 2011 already supported Thunderbolt...
