What Is The Difference In The Following Code Snippet?
public class Test12 {
Test12(){
Test12();//Compiler Error
and
public class Test12 {
Test12(){
new Test12();//Runtime Error after the 1GB of Ram space is used
}Can you please explain as to what is the difference b\w the above code snippet?

public class Test12 {
Test12(){
Test12();//Compiler Error
}This is not valid because you cannot call a contractor this way. However you can replace it with following code and it will work but it is a infinite recursion.
public class Test12 {
Test12(){
this(); // We have now no error. Yahooo...
}The second part of code is also an infinite recursion. I mean following one
public class Test12 {
Test12(){
new Test12();//Runtime Error after the 1GB of Ram space is used
}Edited by: HowToDoIt on Feb 15, 2008 8:52 AM

What does the following code do, especially bold statement
Hi all,
Select ckmlpp~vnkumo ckmlpp~meins mbew~bwkey
into (ckmlpp-vnkumo, ckmlpp-meins, mbew-bwkey)
from ckmlpp
inner join mbew on ckmlpp~kalnr eq mbew~kaln1
where mbew~matnr eq itab-matnr and
mbew~bwkey in urt and
ckmlpp~poper eq current_month and
ckmlpp~bdatj eq year.
<b>ADD ckmlpp-vnkumo TO p_fs.</b>
""p_fs is the fiedl symbol.
I do not know much on field symbols, does it add the value that comes from select loop each time to the fs?
For example at first loop assume ckmlpp-vnkumo is 50 and at second one it is 100, so the p_fs value is 150 or what?
Thanks.
Thanks.well, your code will not work.
If you want add a number to the value represented by the fieldsymbol you have to code it like
ADD ckmlpp-vnkumo TO <p_fs>.

Hans -

What's wrong with the following code?
Circle cir1;
double rad = cir1.radiusThe circle Object was never instantiated.
In other words, you have set a declaring of a Circle, but it has not been created in memory yet.
You will create it using the " = new Circle( PARAMETERS_HERE ); "
Or some other method that returns a circle. -

Edited by: user11337968 on Jul 3, 2009 4:53 PMIt is just part of the XML specification; to do a "doctype", you must have an open angle bracket followed by an exclamation point. See [doctype decl | http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-xml/#NT-doctypedecl] for more information.

More:Could u pls complete the following code by adding a class constructor?
Thank you for your concern about my post. Actually it is an exercise in book "Thinking in Java, 2nd edition, Revision 12" chapter 8. The exercise is described as below:
Create a class with an inner class that has a nondefault constructor. Create a second class with an inner class that inherits from the first inner class.
And I make some changes for the above exercise requiring the class which encloses the first inner class has a nondefault constructor.
There is something related to this topic in chapter 8 picked out for reference as below:
Inheriting from inner classes
Because the inner class constructor must attach to a reference of the enclosing class object, things are slightly complicated when you inherit from an inner class. The problem is that the secret?reference to the enclosing class object must be initialized, and yet in the derived class theres no longer a default object to attach to. The answer is to use a syntax provided to make the association explicit:
//: c08:InheritInner.java
// Inheriting an inner class.
class WithInner {
class Inner {}
public class InheritInner
extends WithInner.Inner {
//! InheritInner() {} // Won't compile
InheritInner(WithInner wi) {
wi.super();
public static void main(String[] args) {
WithInner wi = new WithInner();
InheritInner ii = new InheritInner(wi);
} ///:~
You can see that InheritInner is extending only the inner class, not the outer one. But when it comes time to create a constructor, the default one is no good and you cant just pass a reference to an enclosing object. In addition, you must use the syntax
enclosingClassReference.super();
inside the constructor. This provides the necessary reference and the program will then compile.
My previous post is shown below, could you help me out?
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
//Could you please help me complete the following code by generating
// the Test class constructor to ensure error free compilation? Please
// keep the constructor simple just to fulfill its basic functionality
// and leave the uncommented part untouched.
class Outer {
Outer (int i) {
System.out.println("Outer is " + i);
class Inner {
int i;
Inner (int i) {
this.i = i;
void prt () {
System.out.println("Inner is " + i);
public class Test extends Outer.Inner {
// Test Constructor
// is implemented
// here.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Test(Outer o, int i) {
o.super(i);
}Note that this doesn't quite answer the question from Thinking In Java, since your Test class is not an inner class (though there is no difference to the constructor requirements if you do make it an inner class). -

Do we need to put the following code in the web-xml for the project to run
Hi^^^,
actually I have created a project in Eclipse WTP and I am running it from remote server. Its giving me 404 error when I tried to run it.
I know 404 error is generally due to some error in deployment descriptor.
I am going through this tutorial for creating project in eclipse WTP
this says that I need to include the following code in web-xml. Please look at the quotes below
"Web modules in J2EE has a deployment descriptor where you configure the web application and its components. This deployment descriptors is called the web.xml. According to the J2EE specification, it must be located in the WEB-INF folder. web.xml must have definitions for the Servlet and the Servlet URI mapping. Enter the following lines into web.xml:"
"Listing 2. Deployment Descriptor web.xml"
<servlet>
<servlet-name>Snoop Servlet</servlet-name>
<servlet-class>org.eclipse.wtp.tutorial.SnoopServlet</servlet-class>
</servlet>
<servlet-mapping>
<servlet-name>Snoop Servlet</servlet-name>
<url-pattern>/snoop/*</url-pattern>
</servlet-mapping>
My question is, it is necessary to include the above lines between <servlet> and </servlet-mapping> in web-xml
thanks and regards,
Prashantpksingh79 wrote:

I know 404 error is generally due to some error in deployment descriptor. what's the url you've put.
<servlet>
<servlet-name>Snoop Servlet</servlet-name>
<servlet-class>org.eclipse.wtp.tutorial.SnoopServlet</servlet-class>
</servlet> Every Servlet has to have a <servlet></Servlet> tag in the web.xml
the <servlet-name>is for the naming the servlet and the <servlet-calss>is for class file of the servlet in your case the .class file is to be in the package of tutorial,if it's not then how the container will no where the calss file is
<servlet-mapping>
<servlet-name>Snoop Servlet</servlet-name>
<url-pattern>/snoop/*</url-pattern>
</servlet-mapping>You type something in your url likk http://localhost:8080/webappname (Tomcat server),so for url mapping instead of typing the entire class file name ,you just enough have to type what you've put in the <url-mapping> tag and it has to be inside of <servlet-mapping>
I think the problem is in <url-pattern> change it like /snoop<url-pattern>
My question is, it is necessary to include the above lines between <servlet> and ></servlet->mapping> in web.xmlSo now you think whether you need something inside <servlet>and </servlet-mapping> -
Hello Gurus,
I want to know what is the procedure/code in VBA for passing the calc scripts dynamically based on the selection.
For example:
X=EssVCalculate("Sheetname","Calc_Script name",True)
In the above code instead of the *"Calc_Script name"* I want a script which is called dynamically and the values are calculated accordingly.
Thanks in advance
SaurabhHi Todd,
This is the situation:
I have a calc script in Essbase which I can call to perform the calculations on the current sheet that is retrieved. I want calculation for the following formulas:
x = EssVCalculate("Sheet2", "CalcBC", False)
CalcBC is my calc script which is present in Essbase
So instead of passing the above script I want to pass the conditions dynamically in the VBA code . I don't want to mention the script name directly in EssVCalculate option
For example:
I have three drop down menus from which I would select three different( zero level )members. It would then retrieve the data for that particular values in the excel sheet and now when I click on Calculate button it should calculate the script dynamically.
I don't know how calc scripts can be executed dynamically in the VBA code itself.
Thanks in Advance

What is the bypass code for lock screen
what is the bypass code for the lock screen on i pod touch
To restore the iPod to get rid of the lock combination you forgot, just follow these steps....
1) Plug your iPod into the PC
2) Wait for iTunes to sync your device like normal and let it back up all of your stuff, since restoring deletes all of your data
3) Go onto your iPod's menu (The one that shows the memory bar at the bottom)
4) Locate the Restore button on the screen and click restore
5) If your not on iOS 5.0.1 yet, it will ask you to download the latest firmware, go ahead download it
6) When it is done downloading it will take you through the restoration process.
7) When it asks you if you want to restore it from a backup or set up as new when everything is finished, make sure you select "Back up as new"!!!
8) Re-Sync your music, apps, photos, mail, contacts, etc. and anything you had before, and you device is just like new. -

Hi
I am trying to create sites programmatically in O365 SharePoint Online. So, just want to know that can we create a DeveloperSite ?? what is the template code for it viz. Team site- STS#0, etc
If possible provide me the MSDN link where I can refer for available site templates for O365 SP Online sites creation.
Thank youhttp://community.office365.com/en-us/f/154/t/61145.aspx
Are you meaning to create sites on SharePoint Online by invoking web services in your own program? SharePoint Online indeed provide some web services for custom programming, however, the web methods for creating a new site seems not included in them. Here
are some resources for the development of SharePoint Online for your reference:
SharePoint Online for developers
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/gg153540.aspx
Code example for SharePoint Online: Accessing Web Services
http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/office/SharePoint-Online-0bdeb2ca
As to create a site collection, the parameter "Template" is the name of the template you want to use, as to find the name of the custom site template, you can use the powershell command "Get-SPOWebTemplate",
it will list all the templates with the names.
Note, The Template and LocaleId parameters must be a valid combination as returned from the Get-SPOWebTemplate cmdlet.
