What is the documents folder??

I was using an app, I don't remember which one ... Maybe notes plus or goodreader ... oh it may have been pages possibly? Anyway, I went to export a file and one of the options was "ipad documents folder." What does that mean!?!?! Thanks!

If you are absolutely sure you have finished with the files, drag them to the trash and empty it.
If you delete something you need you may have to recapture video or even start your project again depending on what you have deleted in error.
Even if you have to restart a project it will be a lot quicker because you will probably remember most of the things that you originally spent ages thinking about.

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
    It means that this folder couldn't be found. Drag it off the Dock, and then, open a Finder window, go to the folder that contains it and drag it to the Dock, so it will show up

  • I cannot delete a file from the document folder.  I can move it to the trash and then empty the trash, but when I go back to the documents folder it is still there.

    Gay,
    I wonder what your computing environment is. Is your account being administrated by another account? Are you working in an account subject to "Parental Controls"?

  • Retrieving the Full Path of the Document / Folder in Search results

    Hello,
    We have a custom portlet to perform search in knowledge directory. We are able to retrieve the results from knowledge directory and would like to know on one enhancement feature.
    Would like to know if it is possible to retrieve the directory structure / path of the document / folder. Something like "\Knowledge Directory\Customer Service\...." I have seen this path come up in search results when using Portal Admin. Not sure if it is available when using the idk.dll
    Below is a sample code in C#. Would you know if there is a way I can retrieve the directory strcuture. If so, what method would give me that value? I tried GetURL, but that gives me the URL of the document http://portal/.....as compared to the path.
    =====
    using Plumtree.Remote.Portlet;
    using Plumtree.Remote.PRC;
    using Plumtree.Remote.PRC.Search;
    //Establishing Session with Portal
    IRemoteSession session = RemoteSessionFactory.GetExplicitLoginContext(new Uri(portletPortalAPIPref), username, password);
    ISearchFactory searchFactory = session.GetSearchFactory();
    searchRequest = searchFactory.CreatePortalSearchRequest();
    searchRequest.SetQuery(txtSearchText.Text);
                //Setting up the Search Parameters – Objects to Search, Order By, Number of Results
      ObjectClass[] objectTypes = { ObjectClass.Document, ObjectClass.DocumentFolder };
      searchRequest.SetObjectTypesToSearch(objectTypes);
       searchRequest.SetResultsOrderBy(PlumtreeField.NAME);
       searchRequest.SetOrderAscending(true);
      searchRequest.SetResultsCount(0, RecordCount);
    //Executing the Search
    searchResponse = searchRequest.Execute();
    resultSet = searchResponse.GetResultSet();
      //iterate through the results
    IEnumerator resultsfolder = resultSet.GetResults();
    while (resultsfolder.MoveNext())
                        IPortalSearchResult result = (IPortalSearchResult)resultsfolder.Current;
    Convert.ToString(result.GetRank() + 1);
    result.GetIconURL().ToString();
    result.GetURL().ToString();
    result.GetName().ToString();
    result.GetExcerpt().ToString();
    result.GetLastModified().ToString();
    result.GetClassID().ToString();
    result.GetObjectID().ToString();

    Have you tried getting the extended data and the Parent Folder ID. (Plumtree.Remote.PRC.IExtendedData)
    Using an additional object search to get the Path for the Parent Folder ID.
    Here is a snippet that may help
    Plumtree.Remote.PRC.IObjectManager objectManager = session.GetObjectManager(Plumtree.Remote.PRC.ObjectClass.<your class to return>);
    Plumtree.Remote.PRC.IObjectQueryRow qResults = objectManager.QuerySingleObject(<id of object to return>);
    if (qResults != null)
        Plumtree.Remote.PRC.IExtendedData ied = qResults.GetExtendedData();
        if (ied != null)
           sResult =  ied.GetStringValue(<property you want to return>);

  • Hide the document folder in GW7

    Since I don't use the document management option in GroupWise, can I hide
    the document folder in GW 7 client?
    I asked that question with GW 6.5 and was told NO.
    Thanks
    Gina

    That's what I thought but hope it will be different for GW 7.
    Thanks

  • I have added the Documents folder to the Dock, however when I save a document it doesn't appear in the Documents folder on the Dock, only the Documents folder in the Finder.  Is this a quirk, so am I doing something wrong?

    I like having my Documents folder on the Dock so I added the Documents folder from the Finder to the Dock.  When I save a document to the Documents folder, the saved document appears in the Documents folder from the Finder and not in the Documents folder on the Dock.  Why is this happening?  And how can I change this?

    Oooh. I never new that was there.

  • Office 2013 applications cannot be made to show the "Documents" folder when opening and saving files

    (Windows Server 2012R2 and Windows 8.1 PRO)
    We are redirecting the user's "Documents" folder to the network (using Folder Redirection). The OS hides this fact however, and most applications simply see the "Documents" folder when opening or saving files, including Office 2003.
    Office 2013 however displays the actual path, which in this case is:
    \\sever1\redirect$\username\documents
    Even if you forcibly set the "Default local file location:"  in the Options Save area to the 'Documents' folder in, say, Word, Word immediately converts the local path to the network path.
    Is there anyway to get Office 2013 to follow the virtual path? All of other apps follow it and expose the users only to "Documents".
    Thank you so much.
    Dana

    There's nothing in my FAQ concerning screen savers, so I'm unsure why you decided to take that approach. From your description, it looks like you only tried a few of the suggestions before throwing in the towel. That's fine, it's your call.
    I don't have the problems you described with 10.4.7. Usually when folks have problems after an update, these are caused by either installing an update on an already-corrutped system or they've installed third-party applications or hardware that have been rendered incompatible by the update.
    Before installing software updates, you may wish to consider the advice in my "Installing Software Updates" FAQ. Taking the steps therein before installing an update often helps avert problems and gives you a fallback position in case trouble arises.
    Good luck!

  • I accidentally deleted the documents folder from my hard drive. can I recover it?

    I accidentally deleted the documents folder (and its contents) from my ibook hard drive. Can I recover it?

    It takes a really expensive data recovery service to get back things that have been deleted.
    You could try Data Rescue 3, if you're desperate to get the documents back.
    http://www.prosofteng.com/products/data_rescue.php
    System Requirements:
    http://www.prosofteng.com/products/data_rescue_sysreq.php
    If you want to try this, stop using the iBook immediately, and wait until you get the recovery software because every time you save something to your hard drive (even if it's only a link in your browser history), you risk overwriting the files you deleted.

  • What is the "protected_media" folder and why can't I access it?

    I was going through File Manager and saw a folder called "protected_media". Trying to open it gives me a "Folder Unavailable: You don't have permission to access this folder" message. Why do I have this folder and why can't I access it?
    Also, what is the "misc" folder? Why does it have a folder inside it called "android"? Why can I go Device/misc/android/DCIM/Camera and find copies of everything that is in the Device/camera folder? Can I delete "misc" without messing anything-up?

    the misc folder is for android apps and are virtual links to the files.
    Do not delete the files in there or they will be gone from both places.

    Does anyone know if there exists a keyboard shortcut for Document Folder in the File Save/Open Dialog? <command><shift>O works in the Finder. I tried variations of that in the dialog and didn't find any. <command>D takes you to the desktop. I tried other variations surrounding that to get to the Document Folder and didn't find any.

  • The Documents folder icon hidden...

    The Documents icon in my Home folder is hidden. The icon still appears in the sidebar, but it is missing in the finder windows and Open & Save dialog boxes.
    I can navigate to the Documents folder from the sidebar as well as using the Terminal. All of my documents that are saved in the Documents folder are still there and accessible, but the folder is not accessible from a shared computer.
    Is there any way to restore the hidden attribute of the Documents folder?

  • IWebBrowser2.Type="Adobe PDF Reader".  What is the Document?

    Hi,
    I'm displaying a PDF within the ActiveX IWebBrowser2 container and looking for a way to access (parse) the text. When displaying Excel files, Type is "Excel" and Document is a Workbook reference.  When displaying PDFs, Type="Adobe PDF Reader", but what is the Document?  I've come across threads that suggest it might be of type IAcroAXDocShim or CAcroPDDoc, but when trying to use their methods receive "class not registered".  Re: "class not registered", is it necessary to install Adobe Acrobat?  Why?  Reader is installed.  Seems to me there ought to be a way to access the text with the tools at hand, no?
    Any help is appreciated!

    Adobe don't offer such a facility in their controls, not even with Acrobat. If you want to find out more about the very rich programming interface to Acrobat, and the tiny programming interface to the free Adobe Reader, you should download and install the Acrobat SDK - many thousands of pages of documentation and a few examples (for illustration, not cannibalism).
