What is the easiest way to use a video clip as the DVD's menu and have titles?

Ok, I"m using Ppro CS4, and I have a clip that i would like to be the title screen when the DVD starts. I then want to click on something like Play movie that will play the movie.
I want the Menu to be the actual video clip playing in the background. I am going to be importing several projects from CS3 into the fished version and would like these to be set up as seperate from the main movie......but something that can be clicked on and watched. (I guess I'm wanting titles)
any help would be appreciated. I have searched around and kind figure out how to do this. Do I need to use AFter Effects, or Encore, or what.

I would suggest that you post this to the Adobe Encore>Menus & Buttons forum. What you want to do, if I read correctly, is pretty simple. There will probalby be links available to step you though it. I'll look for this there, and start gathering some links.

Nothing at all happened to me. You could do this: f9 until you're happy on a blank timeline. File export>qt movie>self contained. Import that file, put it into your green screen timeline as the bottom layer. you're still going to have to render it.

One way would be to create your image map first. Then, use the CSS property position to position the div containing the video player relative to the image map or absolute to the page (depending on how your website layout is).
Then, use an event listener (javascript) to enable the div holding the video player to show only when the specific area on the image map is clicked.

I noticed that iMovie does actually copy video clips into your library when you convert your library from iMovie'11 to iMovie'13. Is there a way to copy video clips into the iMovie library when importing them so that they don't get lost?

What is the correct way to use Version Information from the sequence and from the deployment tool

I seem to be missing something in how the various version numbers are supposed to be used. My end goal is to log and possibly display in the UI the version of the sequence and which installer version was used to inspect a UUT. I have gotten most of the way there using:

and logging this into the report with a function which contains:

The "Deployment Version" in the TestStand Deployment Utility auto incrementing the 3rd position of a version number while the sequence auto increment is working on the 4th.
My first question is are these 2 version numbers in anyway supposed to be related to each other? As it seems to me you would want those 2 reversed, I can make several installers based on sequence version X, making changes to what supporting files are also installed.
If they are not related as I suspect that they are not. How do I programatically grabed the installer version and also log that into the result report?
is there an option to perform a custom deployment build step to log the deployment version before it builds and then reference that log at runtime of the test?

I use just ONE logic/Mainstage sound live. From the EXS25
I would like to use this live WITHOUT having to take the laptop onstage or on tour with me for that matter.
I used to run Korg keyboards but MISS the mainstage/logic sound.
So can i export the patch into a logic supported sampler rack mount and run it with a cheap midi keyboard?
Any other options??
my reasons are, everythings getting trashed onstage. smashed laptop screen and now a dented up Korg keyboard.
I would love to take JUST a cheaper style midi keyboard onstage.

EXS24 is a sampler, so a sound from that could be imported into a hardware rack mount sampler.
BUT, this is not just an export-import move.
Depending on what sound you are using, and how complex that sound is, it could take anywhere from 10 minutes to several hours to transfer the sound to another sampler.
Some sounds only have a single sample covering the whole keyboard, but some of them have many many samples, mapped to different key ranges and velocity layers.
There are programs, like Translator Pro from Chicken Systems that can do this transfer, but you may not want to invest in a program like this just to transfer one sound.

What's the easiest way to consolidate photo libraries without losing the events and folders they are organized into?

I'm working with several computers and don't want to reorganize photos when I transfer them. Is it doable? And why are there different photo libraries listed than I did not create?

By 'consolidate' do you mean 'merge into one'?
If you have Aperture 3.3 or later and iPhoto 9.3 or later you can merge libraries with Aperture.
Otherwise the only way to merge Libraries is with the paid ($20) version of iPhoto Library Manager

OK - all is working fine except one thing. I want the last slide on the move to remain on the screen. In all browsers the movie goes to black. In Final Cut, the movie stops exactly where I want it to. Anything I can do in the code to make sure the last movie frame remains on screen as a still frame?.....Thanks......Art

Is importing from a dv tape the only way to edit a video clip?

There has to be a better way of editing my clips. I am importing my video from a dv tape then pausing the clip when I want it to stop. If I dont pause my clip at the exact moment, I have to clear that clip and try it again. I'snt there a way where I can load long clips in the clip pane then edit them down there, then drag the edited clip to my timeline? I am spendind alot of time with this old editing method.

What is the easiest way to cut imported video into shorter clips?

For Christmas I am converting old family movies from 8mm tapes to an external hard drive for my parents. I have done some research and found that the external hard drive will be able to work with their blu ray player if it is reformatted to Fat 32. That part I have done--unfortunately Fat 32 will only save files up to 4 GB in size, and the videos I am importing are about 30 GB for each tape. Is there a simple way to break each import down to 4 GB a clip that is less time consuming than me overviewing every import and stopping it every 10-15 minutes? Thank you for your time everyone!

If each tape is 30GB I guess my first question would be what format are they saved in? And MP4 file might only be 600MBytes and playback for just over an hour. I don't know if the Blu-ray would play all file formats but MP4 might be an option and it would help shrink those file sizes a bit.

Next question.....you really should not try to have two wireless networks....one Arris and another Time Capsule.....unless it is absolutely necessary. Two wireless routers in close proximity can create wireless interference effects that can cause problems with either...or both...networks.
Best to turn off the wireless on one router to keep the chances of wireless interference between routers minimized.

To remove a line from a text file, the easiest way is to read it in one line at a time and write out all lines except the one you want to remove to a new version of the file. Likewise, to insert a line, you read the file one line at a time and write the lines to a new version, inserting the new line at its correct spot.
