What is the easiest way to wrap photos with text in ps CS4?

InDesign handles text much better that either Illustrator or Photoshop.
In InDesign there is more than one way to put a frame around a paragraph:
Select the text frame, go to Object menu - Text Frame Options and set the Inset Spacing to keep the text away from the frame edge.
Then select the text frame with the selection tool (black arrow) check the Fill/Stroke icon at the bottom or the tool box and make sure the Stroke is selected, and choose a Stroke width from the tool bar at the top of the screen.
Or you can do it a quick and dirty way by just drawing another frame and place it on top of the text frame. Give this frame a Stroke and make sure the Fill is set to None.
I selected both frames in this example simply to show that they are two separate frames. The first method (above) only produces one frame.
Your original question was regarding text wrap, the third example shows text wrapping around the photo.
Place or type your text. Place your image and go to the Window menu - Text Wrap. You can set the Offset margins individually to keep the text away from the edge of the image.
For things like this InDesign is definitely the best way to go.

What is the easiest way to send photos from my PC (Windows 7, Live photo gallery)_ to my Ipad2

I would use DropBox if you want to transfer your whole photo library.  The iPad is set up to make it very difficult to transfer content off of it.  This is to protect copyrighted materials and prevent file sharing.
Make sure you have the latest copy of DropBox on your iPad and it will automatically upload all your photos and videos to the Camera Uploads folder on DropBox.  Keep in mind this may take a long time to get them all uploaded, especially if you have a lot of videos and a slow WiFi connection.  It won't work over 3G / 4G must be a Wifi connection.  Once they are uploaded to Dropbox it is simply a matter of then downloading them to the place you want to download them to.

I have a bunch of .pmd files that I have to have access to.. I am trying to convert to .pdf. what is the easiest way to do this with updated computers?

Then you can’t do anything with those files. Even opening them in InDesign would yield very unpredictable results.
You’d need to find an old machine running nothing later than Windows XP and then buy a copy of PM which is like lighting money on fire.
That said, someone might come along willing to help out but just exactly how many is a bunch?

  • What is the easiest way to transfer photos to a SD card

I have one of those electronic picture frames that use a sd card.  What is the easiest way to transfer an album to the SD card?  How do I know when the album is too large for the SD card?  Last time it tried this it took forever.  I was told after about several minutes that the card was full.  thanks for the help.

Select the photos you want and export them them to a desktop folder setting the ,aximum dimension the size the frame wants - then drag that folder to the SD card - you can check the size of the folder prior to copyings it to be sure it will fit

  • What is the best way to geotag photos with data from GPS Tracker Log (GPX format)?

I just returned from a 4 month trip to Southeast Asia. Before I left, I set the time on my camera, a Canon 7D, to match the GPS time on my GPS tracker, a QStarz BT-Q1000X. Both times were set to UTC, also known as GMT.
I have imported the data from the GPS log into Aperture as a GPX file. Now I would like to sync the location metadata on my photos with the data from the GPS log. How can I do this using Aperture 3?
I seem to be having two problems:
Aperture wants to shift the times based on which part of the track I drag the images onto. Since the camera and gps tracker times were sync'd, I do not want any shift.
The time shifts that are displayed are 12 hours and a few minutes, rather than 0 hours and a few minutes.
    A few additional notes:
When I imported the GPS track, Aperture automatically changed the time zone of the track to Asia/Ho Chi Minh City, which is correct (GMT+7).
I have batch changed the images from Camera Time: UTC to Actual Time: GMT+7
The time on my computer is US/Eastern Daylight Time (GMT-4), or Eastern Standard Time (GMT-5) when the photos where taken.
Since I was gone for so long, and my GPS tracker memory is limited, I set the tracker to record a trackpoint once every 60 seconds.
Is there a solution to my problems using Aperture 3, or should I start looking for third party applications to geotag the photos before importing them into Aperture?
    Thank you.

I think the 12 hour discrepancy is more likely a result of the 12 hour difference between GMT+5 and GMT-7. The dates and times of the photos and the GPS track are displayed properly in Aperture. See the images below.

  • What's the easiest way to transfer photos from PC to ipad?  I've tried using itunes, but adding more photos erases photos already loaded.  Help!

How to transfer photos from PC to ipad without erasing photos already loaded.  The only option I find in itunes is to synch, which only transfers into one album on the ipad.  I'm sure I'm just missing an easy step.  Transferring photos from PC to android is a snap, can't be this hard with ipad.

Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

  • What's the easiest way to consolidate photo libraries without losing the events and folders they are organized into?

I'm working with several computers and don't want to reorganize photos when I transfer them. Is it doable? And why are there different photo libraries listed than I did not create?
    Ideas?

By 'consolidate' do you mean 'merge into one'?
If you have Aperture 3.3 or later and iPhoto 9.3 or later you can merge libraries with Aperture.
Otherwise the only way to merge Libraries is with the paid ($20) version of iPhoto Library Manager

  • What is the easiest way to sort photos within an album.  I have photos from a trip but they are all mixed up.  Photos from one part of the trip are showing up in other parts.  Please help.

I have a MacBook Pro laptop and am trying to use iPhoto.  I uploaded pictures but they uploaded out of order.  Photos taken from different locations on my trip are all mixed up and I would like to sort them in chronological order.  Things I have tried have been time consuming and often take several attempts before the moved photo "takes" to its new location within the album.  If anyone can provide step by step instructions for this senior, it would be very much appreciated.  Thank you.

following article tells how to sort photos in iphoto:

    also

article on smart albums in iphoto as well:

these should help answers your questions, also in every apple application if you look on the main menu bar they all have a help section that is very useful in getting basic how to instructions.

  • What is the easiest way to transfer photos in PSE V7 (old PC) to PSEV9 (new PC)?

I have 1 catalogue, about 9 GB using XP in the old PC) & Win7 (new PC).  I mainly want to keep stacks in place (I do not use tags).  My largest USB is 4 GB so copy/move cannot be used and am uncertain about moving (vs copying) in case something goes wrong. As explained in the documentation,  I looked at Backup and Restore and the message said the pictures had been moved.  I would prefer to do the tranfer in segments.
    Thank you
    George

Connect your two computers together, either across a network or with a cable (or a wireless connection).
    Or,
Remove the hard drive from your old computer and purchase a USB connection kit so you can attach the hard drive as an external drive to your new computer.
If you also copy the actual photos to same named paths\directories on your new computer, Organizer should be able to "reconnect" to the photos relatively painlessly, although it might take a long time for a 9 GB catalog's worth of photos....

I have an Iphone 4 and want to copy my photos to my windows PC, what is the easiest way to do this?

Your PC should recognise the iPhone as a camera and you can simply treat it as one.
Programs like Photoshop can import photos from it or you can use Camera and Scanner Wizard to import instead.
You can also double-click the iPhone in My Cmputer and drag and drop

  • What is the easiest way to copy individual photos from a pc to ipad?

what is the easiest way to copy individual photos from a pc to ipadair 2?  I have been told that transferring via itunes creates one mass file from which individual photos cannot be manipulated.

Photos synced from iTunes cannot be deleted one at a time if that's what you mean. They can be manipulated, if manipulated means editing or moving them into folders that you create on the iPad in the photos app.
I agree with Procyon256 that emailing is probably the easiest way for one at a time, but there are also WiFi transfer apps that are pretty nice for this purpose, I use this one.

    @randers4
That is exactly what I've been doing.
I get dozens of photos from a job site every day and it just takes forever.
I had hoped there was an easier - or at least more direct and simpler way.
    Thanks anyway.
