What is the effect of deleting contents camera roll

What will be the effect of photos sent to photo stream or put into albums if I clear out camera rolls on my devices in order to save icloud storage

If you do that you risk losing the photos.  Deleting them from the camera roll doesn't delete them from photo stream.  However, photo stream photos are not backed up (only camera roll photos are), and they only remain in iCloud for 30 days.  If you ever lose them from your devices, you will only be able to get back photos from the last 30 days (if any).  Also, photo stream photos are lower resolution than the original photos in your camera roll.
If you want to keep your photos, import them to your computer from the camera roll as explained here: iOS: Import personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer.  If you want to save space on your devices, save the photos you want to keep on them to the camera roll on all your devices first, then delete them from your photo stream.  (Don't delete them from your photo stream on any of your device until you've saved the photos you want to the camera roll on all of them.)

  • What's the difference between "photo stream", 'camera roll' and 'photos' ?

I can't download the new update because I don't have enough storage. I bought more storage but my camera roll is 6.2 GB. Photo stream is 323 MB. Can someone please explain the difference between photo stream, camera roll, and photos. Thanks.

    Photo Stream is a feature of iCloud;
    http://www.apple.com/icloud/features/photo-stream.html
The Camera Roll is an album on the iPad with any photos that you transfer from a camera or memory card using the Camera Connection Kit to the iPad or any screen shots that you take with the iPad or any photos that you take with the cameras on an iPad 2, as opposed to any albums that you have synced to the iPad from your computer using the iTunes app. The Camera Roll comes and goes as needed. If you have no photos that would go into the Camera Rol, it disappears, and returns when it is needed.

  • What is the difference between PHOTOS and CAMERA ROLL

I understand what CAMERA ROLL is and I understand what PHOTO STREAM is. What is PHOTOS?

Any albums that you've created directly on your iPad in the Albums tab will contain photos that are already in the Photos app - so they will also be in the Photos tab. And when you create new albums on your iPad you are effectively just creating pointers to those photos, you aren't creating separate copies of those photos, so if you 'copy' a photo from the camera roll into a new album, if you then delete that photo from the camera roll you will also be deleting all pointers to it (so it will also be removed from any albums that you've 'copied' it into).

  • What does the "copy" option do in "camera roll"?

Forgive me, I know this is probably a stupid question, but I'm really puzzled--with iOS 7 in Camera Roll, when you select a photo and tap the little box-up-arrow icon at the lower left side, you get about two dozen options, "Message", "Mail", "iCloud", etc. on the first line, and "Copy", "Slideshow", "AirPlay", etc. on the second line. I understand the first line options, but I don't understand what the "Copy" option is supposed to do. I'm assuming when you tap it the picture is copied into a buffer so you could then paste it into something, like preferably a spot on the camera roll in order to create a duplicate of the photo. That's exactly what I'd like to do, but there's no obvious way to paste it anywhere at all.  So what am I overlooking here?
    Thank you,
    Jenna

She knows that.  She was asking how to duplicate.
The only thing I can think of is pulling it into another app and doing it a "Save As" on it.  Perhaps photoshop express might do the trick.

  • What is the difference between photostream and camera roll

Can someone help me with this i have over a 1000 pics combined and I keep deleting them but it's not freeing up any space...thoughts?
Sorry if it seems like a silly question!!!

Camera roll holds photos and videos taken on your phone.  Photo Stream contains photos streamed from iCloud that may have originated on any device logged into your iCloud account.  Photo Stream holds up to 1000 photos for 30 days, allowing you time to download them to connected devices.  Camera Roll holds photos and videos taken on your phone indefinitely, until your delete them.

  • What are the differences between delete and truncate statements.

i need few differences between executing both the above statements.like what is the effect they are going to make on the data in the table and regarding the table
    spaces

One of the main diffrence TRUNCATE is DDL while DELETE is DML thats why
you neednt to commit/rollbacked after TRUNCATING table.
If you have master/child table then TRUNCATING master table will not concerned
with child table data ,it will concerned with FK enabled KEY truncate is DDL.
While DML will concerned with detail table data when deleting master table data.

  • What is the effect of the service account permissions

    Hi,
What is the effect of the service account permissions? For example, suppose the service account for SQL Server database engine is SomeDomain\A, and has no permission to execute stored procedure X, and a user with domain account SomeDomain\B does have the
said permission. Which one will prevail, i.e. can the user execute stored procedure X? If so, what permissions must I give the service account SomeDomain\A?
I am asking this in the context of planning deployment in the production environment of a data warehouse application.
    Cheers,
    Jerome
    Jerome Smith BI Consultant, MCP

    Hi Jerome,
Service account for SQL Server Database Engine only have limited permissions. To grant the account permission to execute stored procedure X, please refer to the following
    query:
    USE database;
    GRANT EXECUTE ON OBJECT::dbo.X
    TO SomeDomain\A;
    GO
Since the user is in the context of planning deployment in the production environment of a data warehouse application, we may need to add some additional permissions. For more details, please refer to the following blog:

  • I still don't totally understand the difference on my iPhone between PhotoStream (with iCloud icon), Photos (the icon) and Albums and Camera Roll (under Photos icon) and and Camera Roll (under Camera icon).  I want to delete photos from my iPhone 4.

I  don’t  understand the difference on my iPhone between PhotoStream (with iCloud icon), Photos (the icon) and Albums and Camera Roll (under Photos icon) and and Camera Roll (under Camera icon).  They seem to be more or less the same thing, but deleting photos in one place does not delete them elsewhere.
When I tried to import from my camera to my iMac computer the computer would not recognized 900 of the 920 photos on the camera so I had to (successfully) use the Image Capture application to import them.
I want to delete photos from my iPhone 4 in order to free up storage (I only have 8GB.)  But in synching I do not want to delete any images from my iPhoto on my computer.
Is there a way that I can Delete All under Edit in either Photos or Camera on my iPhone and check about 20 ijmages to remain on the iPhone?  I could find no command to Select All and then uncheck the 20 photos I want to keep.
I have the 8GB iPhone and the iMac with OS 10.9.2 and iPhoto '09 Version 8.1.2.
    Help!

I have Version 6.1.3 because the clogged storage will not allow me to upload Version 7.1.  Catch 22.  This is basically a storage issue, I believe.  I cannot delete enough stuff on my iPhone to allow me to either back up or upload the new OS 7.  I am unwilling to pay for more storage in iCloud, so I want to delete stuff I don't need.  But I haven't yet figured out how to successfully do that.  I synch my phone and computer.  I want to delete mail on the Mail app and photos and still keep my photos on my computer on iPhoto, but not on my phone.  I seem unable to do that.  Any advice?

  • What is the effect of INDEXING on Cube? and on DSO?

    Hi,
I am trying to figure out the effect of indexing on a Cube and DSO.
    1. My findings so far indicates that Indexing is a database concept but so is partition but partitioning applies in the case of a Cube. Right?
2.What is the effect of Indexing on a cube? How is it related to the "database concept that I keep reading?
How is it implement in BI?
3.What is the effect of Indexing on a DSO? How is it related to the "database concept that I keep reading?
How is it implement in BI?
    Thanks

    Hi,
thanks for the detailed information. I will appreciate some help on these follow ups on your posting:
    On your answer to 1:
I read that there are 2 partitions, logical and physical. It is the physical partitioning which takes place at the database level, so can I assume that when you said u201CEven DSO can be partitionedu201D you meant the physical partition? And that logical partitioning is not possible in DSOs?
    On your answer to 2:
So in the above you suggested that indexes apply not only to cubes but also to DSO with the statement that u201C..secondary indexes can be built on DSO u2026u201D
If so, how come there is not feature to drop and rebuild indexes for data load to DSOs?
I will appreciate a hint on the difference between u201Cindexesu201D and u201Csecondary indexesu201D. I am ok with what u201Cindexesu201D is, is the use of u201Csecondaryu201D that threw me off.//
    On your answer to 3:
    i.
Based on the link, there does not appear to be a simply way to drop and rebuild indexes in DSOs. It appears an ABAPer needs to be involved. Isnu2019t there a simply way as in cubes, to click on buttons for the index implementation for DSOs?
    ii.
It suggests one must choose between B-tree and Bit map indexes, right? Is this the function of the BI consultant or as DBA? If the BI consultant should be able to do this, where is it implemented in BI?
Can you explain what you meant by u201Ccardinality of a column is lowu201D?
    iii.
I know how in rsa1, a Cube can be partitioned on 0calmonth and 0fisper. If this is done at the database level, then can it be done also for DSO? If so, where in BI is it done for DSOs?
You also noted that SAP DB does not support table partitioning but Oracle does.
I know in my environment, the BASIS consultants are always talking about Oracle so I am assuming we have Oracle and not SAP DB.
I never heard of SAP DB, is it a substitute for Oracle in SAP BI environments?
Is it a DB that comes directly from SAP; if so, why do companies not keep the total SAP package but prefer to use Oracle?  Is it because the SAP DB does not support table partitioning?
    Thanks

Sorry no. That's how it works.
Check if you still have an old backup and do a restore otherwise it's gone.

Hi Susan. Try a reset: Push and hold the Sleep/On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for approximately 10-15 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. Release buttons.
