What is the file size that ODI can handle
Hi all,
What is the file size that ODI can handle ?????????
can it handle 1GB files without any issues?????????
Thanks
Phani
Hi Phani,
It also depends on the type of file you are transfering. If have used the XML file around 1GB and the performance is very low. But we used the Database schema to load the XML data and the performance had increased very well.
I never tried the large flat files load around 1GB.
Thanks,
Yellanki

Maximum file size that OSB can handle for JMS
Hi,
We have a requirement to process 60MB xml files over JMS in Oracle Service Bus. While prototyping this we are facing heap space errors.
Can somebody let me know what is the maximum file size that we can process? The scenario is as below.
JMS --> OSB --> JMS --> OSB --> JMS
Thanksif you don't need to access the entire content of the message, you can try using content streaming
(see this OSB - Iterating over large XML files with content streaming discussion)
See also here http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13159_01/osb/docs10gr3/userguide/context.html#wp1110513 for best practices.
Otherwise I have noticed myself that OSB is very hungry in memory when loading large messages. I had trouble even with a 5 MB binary file being loaded - this would take 500 MB RAM. in these cases I would rather look for ETL tools such as Oracle Data Integrator or Open Source Pentaho. -
I have a early 2008 Macbook Pro, need to up grade the hard drive so that I can add a windows environment what is the largest drive that I can put in this computer? Is the storage size the constraint or the physical size of the drive? Or a combination?
The largest capacity HDD that you can install is the HGST 1.5 TB HDD:
http://eshop.macsales.com/item/HGST/0J28001/
Any 2.5" 9.5mm thick SATA HDD will fit and operate in your MBP, regardless of capacity.
Ciao.

What is the file size of an episode on itunes?
I've just moved to Australia from the UK and am having to get used to download limits for the internet! I usually download my favourite shows from itunes but now I have to restrict what I download, What's the file size for an average 43ish minute show? I'm sure it says somewhere but I'm having a blind day! Thanks for any help in advance
Now that you bring it up, the one I looked at earlier was not downloaded from the iTunes store. I looked again and looked specifically for store downloads. One show is 40 min, 3 sec and 440.4 MB. Another is 50 min, 36 sec and 560.5 MB. A third is 44 min, 29 sec and 502.8 MB. All of these are 128 kbps sized at 640X480.

i have a sequence shot on the 550d/rebel T2i, I converted it to prores 422 in MPEG Streamclip and edited in fcp. What is the best export that i can do to preserve quality and prevent pixelation. Rite now, i have been just clicking on the export to quicktime function, but the quality of the footage is completely reduced and colours look desaturated and there is pixellation compared to the original camera footage. Also is there anyway i can render and export the sequence using the original footage (like an online edit or something). Also is there anyway to upgrade the final quality. I have Compressor, Dvd Studio pro, Motion, Color and Cinema tools, i dnt know if they are of any use to me and have no idea how to use hem or what they are for also.
>What is the best export that i can do to preserve quality and prevent pixelation
The best way to export is entirely dependent on what you plan to do with the exported video. For example, if you plan to go to DVD, the export process is different than if you plan for web delivery or for iPhone viewing. Compressor has presets for most final delivery formats ... start with those.
>is there anyway i can render and export the sequence using the original footage
Yes. In FCP, go to File-Export->QuickTime Movie. Check the box to make the movie Self-Contained and use Current Settings. Do NOT "Recompress All Frames." The resulting self-contained movie will play on any Mac that has the needed audio and video codecs installed.
>is there anyway to upgrade the final quality
No and maybe. While you technically cannot improve quality over the original, you can possibly 'enhance' the aesthetic quality of the video using various filters in FCP or Color.

i am looking to get a new 13 inch mac book pro, what is the max RAM that I can install. I know configured from Apple is 8 GB, but can I put 16 GB after?
Yes, you can install 16GB in your new macbook pro.
Go here (OWC) and here (Crucial) to give you options on how much you want to spend.
Good luck. -
What is the file size of the OS X Mavericks 10.9.4 update?
What is the file size of the OS X Mavericks 10.9.4 update? I have a limited 4G connection, so this information would be useful BEFORE downloading, as it could put me over my limit and incur additional cost.
The Delta version is 283 MB: OS X Mavericks 10.9.4 Update
The Combo is 958 MB: OS X Mavericks 10.9.4 Update (Combo) -
What is the file size of photoshop cs6 set up
what is the file size of photoshop cs6 set up
Whatever you define it to be.
By the way, you probably mean the file dimensions in pixels (so many pixels wide by so many pixels high), not "file size". -
I have a Mac Pro Dual Core, 3 Ghz, that I purchased in the Spring of 2007. What is the latest OS that i can upgrade to? And is that OS compatible with Logic 10?
Logic Pro 10 requires OSX 10.8.4, which is not officially supported on your Mac Pro (must be Early 2008).
There are, however, unofficial workarounds to install 10.8 on those older models that you can search for on Google. -
What is the name of the file I need to resync back to what I had before I reinstalled Windows7/Itunes?
I don't want to lose all of my apps. iTunes does see the phone but either has miscalcuated and told me I'm over
the size of my allocated sizes for music/apps, but when I uncheck, it still won't sync.
Best way, I assume is to go back to the last backup. So help me out here, what are the file (s) I need and
where are they best stored? I have all my music now on my J drive, not my C drive.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks,
SueI backed up to the iCloud and to my computer. Only thing I seem to be missing is a couple playlists. I just didn't want to lose my paid apps.
So what I see in my music folder and then another folder called iTunes and then files like iTunes Library, iTunes Library extras, iTunes Music Library aren't anything that is a back up, I take it, since you said the back up would be under programs? If this statement is true, now I "get" it!
And just to be clear, in iTunes, in my apps, there are all the apps I have gotten for free or paid for. But the problem there was that the Sync was grayed out and if I check it, everything goes crazy with saying I don't have enough room. I unchecked the music folder, and still had problems.
Oh, I hate this part of the iPhone stuff! -
Hello friends,
I would like to know the fields/views that we can not change by using mass maintenance of MMR if there are open PO for that particular material in concern. Likewise there was a question in SAP certification exam having options: "base unit of measure", "material type" and so on....in general you can change any field that can be changed in MM02. if the field is grayed then you cannot. e.g. if you make use a MRP profile. and in this profile the maintenance of those fields is disabled then you cannot do it MM17 either.

What influences the file size of Lightroom catalogue?
Just a general question really...
I often read in various forums of LR users who have tens of thousands of images in their catalogue, and yet the catalogue file itself is relatively small (e.g. "I've got 100,000+ images in my catalogue, and it's 350MB). I personally have around 11,700 images in my catalogue at present, and the catalogue file is fast approaching the 8GB size (currently at around 7.69GB). To be clear, I'm talking specifically about the lrcat file here, not any associated previews. I have a resonable number of virtual copies (say around 100), and have added quite a bit of metadata (hundreds, if not thousands of keywords, GPS coordinates, captions, star ratings, flags and so on). I also carry out quite a few local adjustments to many - although by no means close to all - of my photos in the develop module and have some pretty large editing histories as a result. I also have a modest number of publishing services running, and multiple collections including a number of smart collections.
This is not a problem for me, and I have plenty of space for lrcat file to grow into so I'm certainly not losing sleep. I'm just intrigued as to why my catalogue file is (possibly) larger than it should be.
MIf you want to post (or send me) a link to the lrcat file, I'd take a look at it for you, and give you a break-down what's consuming all the bytes. But it might be fun to learn how to do that yourself (e.g. using SQL). I use SQLiteSpy, but other people have their favorites.. (or you can use a command-line client if you prefer..). One way: just run "drop table "{table-name}" on each table then look at filesize (do this to a copy, not the real thing).
Anyway, it's hard to imagine keywords and captions etc. taking much of the space, since even if you had 1000 10-character words of text metadata per photo average that still only adds up to 117MB, which isn't a substantial portion of that 8G you're seeing occupied.
Anyway, if you've painted the heck out of most of them and not cleared dev history, that'll do it - that's where I'd put my money too...
One thing to consider to keep file-size down:
===================================
* After reaching a milestone in your editing, take a snapshot then clear edit history, or the top part of it anyway (e.g. leave the import step), using a preset like:
Clear Edit History.lrtemplate
s = {
id = "E36E8CB3-B52B-41AC-8FA9-1989FAFD5223",
internalName = "No Edit",
title = "Clear Edit History",
type = "Develop",
value = {
settings = {
NoEdit = true,
uuid = "34402820-B470-4D5B-9369-0502F2176B7F",
version = 0,
(that's my most frequently used preset, by far ;-})
PS - I've written a plugin called DevHistoryEditor, which can auto-consolidate steps and reduce catalog size - it's a bit cumbersome to use a.t.m. but in case you're interested...

What is the file attribute @ and how can I get rid of it
I converted some wav files using Roxio Toast 11 and the output AIF files have a '@' in the file permissions and are not displayed in Finder. What does the '@' mean and how can I get rid of it. Would love to know why Toast adds it but I posted a question on Roxio's site and hopefully will get an answer to that.
thanks for the help
johnokay, so I yes, it does indicate extended attributes. I executed ls -l@ *.aif and got this

I then did xattr -c *.aif to clear the extended attributes which got rid of the '@' but the files are still not being displayed in Finder.
