What's the gneral consensus on this: using the gmail app vs. setting it through "mail, contacts, calendars" on the iphone $?

Sorry for the spelling/grammar issues, below is the after coffee correct question:
What's the gneral consensus on this: using the gmail app vs. setting it up through "mail, contacts, calendars" on the iPhone 4? On another note, I've read that gmail and Apple mail don't play nice in the playground together and I can confirm that by trying to use it in Apple mail on Lion 10.7.4. I read a bit of an outdated article in which the iphone4 user set up icloud, even I know that, exchange for google contacts and calendars for sync purposes and then chose "other" and named it Gmail for Apple mail something to that effect and it played nice with Apple mail, thoughts or should I replost this under another category?

  • So What Is The Consensus On iDVD 08 ?

I have done a search but can't find the answer.
As with every piece of hardware and software there are people complaining about various problems. However, being optimistic (today!) I am prepared to believe that iDVD 08 works well usually.
So what do the "Top Users", who presumably don't have many issues, think about 08 ?
Is it generally an evolutionary improvement on the previous versions or are there any niggles that didn't occur previously ? What improvements do you find most useful ?
I will shortly be getting iLife 08 and want to know what to expect - I do believe, for instance, that most people regard iMovie 08 as a disaster for those interested in serious video editing.
    Ian.

This is merely a suggestion. You can take it or leave it. Normally I do not steer folks away from iLife'08. But in your own situation which apparently is similar to my own in that I too am working from a G4 processor along with apple's pro apps as well as i-apps (just like you apparently)..... I simply chose to purchase an earlier version of FCP and DVDSP instead (unopened apple original CD's I found on ebay for pennies on the dollar).
It was cheaper than buying the latest and greatest software and it works perfectly on my own G4 733 Digital Audio. Much more predictable to work within pro apps while maintaining professional results from start to finish as opposed to hitting a brick wall in failed attempt/s to get pro apps to function flawlessly within iDVD'08 (even tho the latter is also possible most of the time).

  • What is the use of general modifier?

    Hi,
Please note while using mvt type 201 we will give cost center and assign a G/L account.
    Eg: Cost Center -1000, G/L account 400000
It means that consumption is captured in the G/L account 400000.
Why we have to assign a G/L account for VBR key?
What is the purpose of it?

    Hi,
General Modifer used for  to break account determination down by movement type.
VBR: for internal goods issues (for example, for cost center)

A profile is used on iOS device to add specific settings and similar things to an iOS device.  Tryically, they are added when the iOS devices is controlled by a company or school.
However, some apps install a profile. If your iPod is not controlled by a company or school then it seems an app added the profile. You can good the title if the profile and see if that gives any info.

I live in China, have Dutch nationality, and no US address or Credit Card; how can I have access to products from the US iTunes store, in particular music, when such items are not available from the China iTunes store? In general, what are the differences between countries' iTunes offerings? Does one really need an address and a credit card for any country to be able to access that countries iTunes store? Why these restrictions?

    You cannot.
You cannot use another countrys itunes store.
You must be physically locates inside the borders of a country to use that countrys itunes store and a credit card issued in that country with a valid billing address in that country.
The owners of the distribution rights of movies/music/etc differ by country.  These distributors decide who can sell their content in that country.
Buy from another source if your countrys itunes store does not carry somehting that you want.

  • What is the diff between general gl a/c, control a/c, reconciliation a/c,

    Dear All
what is the diff between general gl a/c, control a/c, reconciliation a/c & offsetting a/c.

    Hi,
Normal GL Account is the account where the accounting entries are posted. GL Accounts will be broadly of two categories like Balance Sheet Accounts (Assets & Liabilities) and Profit & Loss Accounts (Income and Expenses).
Reconciliation Accounts are used where a subsidiary ledger is maintained. For example for Customers and Vendors details are maintained in separate ledgers but the control totals are posted in the Reconciliation Account which is part of GL Accounts. Similarly reconciliation accounts are maintained for Assets and Materials also. Further, in case of Customer and Vendor accounts the number of line items will be very high, hence only the totals are updated in GL and line items will be individual ledgers. Basically reconciliation account and control account are similar.
Offsetting Account: In Financial Accounting for every debit there should be a corresponding credit. So when ever any entry posted it will normally hit two GL Accounts. When we look at one line item, we will be interested where the other side of the entry is posted. This entry is the offsetting entry.
If you find this usel, please assign points.

  • What is the general way to invoke a rpc/encoded webservice?

    Hi,
I have some confusion in invoking webservices, ok, let me explain my question in detail:
Usually, we access a web service througt its wsdl file, for a rpc/encoded style, for example, in Axis enviroment, I will need the java object for the complex message types, how can I get these java files? If I use the Sun provided WSDP tool to compile the wsdl file and get these java files, do they work? If I am not in the Axis enviroment, maybe I will compose the SOAP request directly, so, what is the general way?
    Thanks.

    Hello,
When you want to invoke a Web Services (RPC or Document style) you generally as you said create a set fo Java class to: map the messages information to Java code, and create a proxy/stub to do the call.
Using Oracle Application Server Web Service framework you have several way of creating this client classes:
    - using Oracle JDeveloper just do a File>New>Web Services>Web Service Proxy
    - using the command line tool, and associated Ant tasks (WSA:Web Service Assembler), see the Web Services Developer Guide

  • What is the system variables of document number in General Ledger PLD?

    Dear all,
Would anybody kindly tell me what is the system variables of document number in General Ledger Print Layout Designer?
The default print layout use transaction number (system variables 272), however, my client wants document number to be displayed in the transaction number column.
    Regards,
    Simon Chiu

    Hi
The only list available for Supported variables is for the version 2007A and for some specific localizations like Brazil and India.
For the 2007A version the list is available in the following link:
    http://service.sap.com/smb/sbo/pld
'How To Use the PLD Variables File in Release 2007 A '
But in general the variables are for documents not for reports.
In this case I believe there's no variable and you may need to fill a requirement in the Forum for that.

  • What are the general errors will come in data uploading

    Hi Friends,
What are the general errors will come in data uploading
    Thanks in Advance

    Paul
It all depends on how we configure the system. Errors may be different for different scenerios like
User ALEROMOTE Loacked for master data's
Data Sourcs has to be replicated
    Activation Failures
Error occures in data Selection Etc.
Do you have any specific error so that we can work on that.

  • What is the consensus regarding AMM

Hi I am running a test database on AIX and have just upgraded from 10.2 to 11.2
When i created my database using DBCA i set the SGA to 512 mb. When i upgraded to 11g it said the minimum was 624mb which i increased it to.
I have just had a message in the alert log : ORA-12751: cpu time or run time policy violation but cant see any issues.
Anyway after looking at various different sites I decided to switch from using ASMM to AMM. What is the general concensus regarding AMM? How do most be manage the SGA- ASMM, AMM or manually?Am i right in thinking i no longer have to worry about changing any parameters in the SGA now?
    Many thanks for any feedback

I have it running in both of my 'major' databases that I'm primarily responsible for:
Exadata V2 (Linux) - AMM enabled - memory target/max = 40Gb, SGA max = 40Gb, PGA not set, shared pool not set, buffer cache not set - runs perfectly
11.2.0.3 (running on AIX) - AMM enabled - memory target/max = 15Gb - for this one, we had to explicitly set minimum values for PGA, SGA, buffer cache, shared pool (and subpools)
If I let Oracle have complete control on the AIX-hosted database, the performance was quite wild. Not sure whether that's because of the O/S or just because of the type of workload. I would suggest setting minimum values for the key components and then allowing Oracle to decide what gets any overhead at any particular time.

    CUA
    ====
CUA behaves differently during a system/client copy and this is the approach we took and it was successful.  The goal is to take a backup of the source before CUA deletion then restore. Do not delete CUA and just attempt to rebuild it, all the roles will be gone.  Backup and restore will be the approach I recommend.
a1.  Take a snap shot of your QA user and role assignments before copy.
    1.  (Basis) First make a backup of the source system.  This is important before step 2.
    2.  After successful backup delete the CUA from the source system.
    3.  After successful copy to target system, restore backup to source system.
    4.  Depending how the copy was done, users and passwords should be in the target system but all the role assignments will be gone.
    5.  Start assigning roles base on your requirements.  If you need to restore the old QA settings that is captured in a1.
Perhaps others can add in other steps I might have missed.
    Good Luck!

  • What is the use of general maintenance task list?

    Hi expert,
I want know What is the use of general maintenance task list in SAP plant maintenance & how to use this step by step.
    Regards,
    Ram Rathode

    Hi
A task list in PM is created to perform a specific repair or maintenance task. The task list consists of work operations and components needed to complete the job. Often a task list will be associated with a functional location or equipment, where not tied to a specific technical object it is known as a general task list.
Task lists can be assigned to a order, the operations/components are imported into the order. Task lists are also assigned to maintenance plans - once orders are generated from the plan the task list is transfered to the order.
