What is the highest memory I can up grade to with macbook pro 4,1? I want to upgrade to Mountain Lion, but only have 2 gb RAM.
DDR2 - 667Mhz is the RAM for your Macbook.....
You can upgrade to 6GB if you prefer to do so.......
But you can get away with 4GB.....

In order to install Lion you have to have Snow Leopard and then update to 10.6.8:

Personally I suggest that you stop at Snow Leopard. It still is the most efficient OS that Apple has devised and it still works great. Go to the Lions only if there are feature that you really need. There may be a price to pay in slower performance though.

DannyContribute 6.5 is the current version and Adobe only sells current versions.
Unfortunately Contribute CS3 is too old to qualify for an upgrade. Only CS4 and newer qualify.

It had a linex system in it and I installed Mac OSX 10.2 but I want to upgrade it. What is the highest OSX it is possible to run on this computer? Can you download operating systems? I see its possible to download some but how would you install it? The system it has now is nowhere near as good as 10.5.8 which I have on my macbook.
