Hi Krish,
In MD04,you see requirement of material.
Whenever there is Purchase order & Sales order created,you will find relevent Vendor & Customer name respectively when you go for Vendor & Customer tab. When you double click on Vendor It shows you details of Vendor.
Just try & Check it.

MDM-XI-ECC for Master data like Vendor and customer

If there are some changes like addition or deletion of some fields in customer or vendor, then it is not possible to use the standard pre-delivered content which SAP has provided.
So in that case, how can we handle that in XI?
For example DEBMDM or CREMDM?
The predefined content splits this into two idocs CREMAS & ADRMAS and serialises and then sends to ECC.
So when there is customization of Idocs, how can we handle it?
Any clues please?

For various reasons I would recommend not using the predefined content. Mainly for the exact scenario in which you describe. If you have to add custom fields, then you can't use the predelivered content, however you can copy the predelivered content and modify it. The MDM content for XI uses XSLT mappings, so if you are familiar with XLST then you can work with those, however I prefer to generate a graphical mapping, because it only takes a few seconds anyway. You simply have your source message be the CREMDM (or DEBMDM) format, and the target is CREMAS and ADRMAS. You simply select the top node of CREMDM and do a 1:1 mapping to CREMAS, then map the ADRC segment of CREMDM to the ADRMAS IDoc. If you use the graphical tool then you can modify your map easier if you need to add or remove fields. For example, if you want to do a IDoc reduction, then you can perform the IDoc reduction in ECC, and then swap that message type out with the one in your graphical map. Or if you want to add fields you can perform an IDoc extension in ECC, and then swap that message type out in XI. It's much easier to make these changes when you've built a graphical map.

We are converting two different companies into our SAP. We are at blue printing stage. I was assigned to gather vendor master data requirements in SAP. I sent them all the fields that we are currently using in SAP. I sent them a template of General, Company code data and purchasing views. The legacy team is coming to meet with our it team one to one to discuss the importance of the fields. Now my team manager asked us to submit a presentation about all the questions we should be asking the legacy team as well as the important information we should be discussing from SAP point of view. Can someone guide me here please. It's important.

Hi The task is pretty simple. You would need to create a mapping from the legacy data to SAP data. You would go through every field of the legacy data and identify which field it will map to. there is nothing like important field. Ideally you would get all the fields. Identify the recon account that the vendors should go to.

Yesterday when I opened up the iPhoto (which I have it in my external drive due to the size of file) I get the message that it is not compatible with the new system(or something like that) and ask me to upgrade so I did. Then another message pops ups and asked for rebuilding the Thumbnails. So I clicked rebuild. Next it asked me to do one of three things(I can't remember all of them) so I chose the last one which is to download a photo to iPhoto. Now I only have that photo I downloaded in iPhoto file but not the rest of my pictures. The iPhoto library which is stored in my EHD shows it has 349GB but it only show one thumbnail of the last picture I downloaded after the rebuild process. What can I do to recover the rest of the file?

Uploading the GL, Vendor and Customer balances

What is the procedure to upload the Opening balances of GLs, Vendor and Customer balances using T Code F-02.

The Ope item balances may be taken adn clean the data.
For AP some clients curt the check and release it later .
If that is the case no need to load AP items,Agian this is depend on the business arrangemnets.
The data may be loaded FB60, FB70 transactions.The transaction may be recorder and use LSMW
Create a GL account ( data conversion acccount)
Customer:
Dr Customer
Cr Data convertion accounmt
Vendor:
Dr Convertion Account
Cr Vendor
The data collected in Xl may be converted as Tab delimited Txt file and may be used for LSMW.
Hope this is clear. Allot the points if you get some resolution for yr doubt.

Profit Center population in the Vendor and Customer Line items

our client is asking for getting profit center in the vendor and customer line items where in the view FBL5n and fbl1n we are not getting the profit center populated - in the new gl i understand that there is a standard report based on the gl account.
but our business is not satisfied with the report and expecting report at profit center level.
Can any one suggest any way of doing this.

Dear Vijay,
Let me provide you my view of solutioning for this. This is an enahcement that needs to be done
1. You can get the profit center from the given vendor and customer line item at the time of posting, using an enahcement you will be able to capture it.
2. Existing the profit center field is not populated in the BSIK,BSAK,BSID and BSAD tables
3. Hence, in the same enhancement once you capture the profit center , you can write the code that profit center is updated in these tables also.
4. This will help you to do the vendor line item wise selection in the FBL1N, FBL5N profit center wise.
Constraints of this solution:
The only constraint remains where in the for a given document if there are multiple profit center, then the system will do the splitting profit center wise for a vendor line item, which will not populate the profit center in those tables as there is only one field available in the bsid etc.. tables.
This basically would be the one the soltuion where in as seeen from the end user ther eis no change in the front end interface , the way they are doing always they can do.
You need to also take care the % of document splitting means cross profit center postings /cross document splitting charactericstics postings and the volume involved in this. so that you can suggest this to your client.

Scenario of Import P.O from same material get money from vendor and custome

My client is procuring certain material Quantity 10 by Import, As when he recieve the 10 Quantity material he founds 8 Quantity is to be Okay and the other 2 founds to be damaged, As it is import material he cannot return it to import vendor, in this situation he takes the photocopy of the 2 damaged material and get debits from vendor without actual returning to import vendor apart from this the damaged goods he sells for lower price.
So from the same material he gets the money double time one from Vendor and other from Customer.
How to MAP this Scenario in SAP ?

Hi Javeed,
Are u using QM module? If u are using, u can activate quality inspection for this material. You can do 101 movement for total qty i.e. 10 nos.
Then in usage decision, you can accept 8 nos and reject and scrap 2 nos.
If u are not using QM module, u can still post 101 movement for 10 numbers. Then you can screap 2 nos with movement type 551.
Hope this will resolve ur problem.

What is flip4mac importing in the background?

In a recent upgrade to Leopard, I installed the beta flip4mac which works perfectly, however it evokes a window with time bar "importing movie" that previous versions of flip4mac did not. I assume it may have been doing it in earlier versions in the background without the notification.
Does anyone know exactly what the plugin is doing? Importing what and to where? Into ram? It does it's "importing" in the column view if there are .wmv movies in the list. Possibly to build the thumbnails? If there are many .wmv files, it takes quite a bit of time and processing power.
I see no preference setting to turn it off as an automatic function.

Flip4mac is a great program.

Sounds like you're activating a feature within the upgraded version of Flip4Mac. The basic free player simply plays wmv content, but you can import Windows Media files into supported
QuickTime editing applications, or convert Windows Media files into other media formats with the upgraded version. These functions are available in trial mode with the free version, but have limitations.
What exactly are you trying to do? Do you have a file locally, that you're trying to play back. Or are you attempting to bring something into iMovie?

Home Sharing is designed to work on your local network not across the internet/cloud.
Stuff is accessed under the Computers column where your local iTunes library on a local computer would appear.
Home Sharing would share your iTunes content (i.e. stuff stored in itunes on the computer, not in the cloud) with AppleTV or an iPad etc on the SAME network.
AppleTV2 will not be able to see itunes content on the work computer over the internet. It's not designed to. if the work computer was on the home network it would.
iCloud is in it's infancy and is not a mature product - iTunes TV Show purchases appear on AppleTV, but currently music does not unless you are subscribed to iTunes Match. I find this rather odd to be honest, along with the inability to buy music on AppleTV2. Movies purchased in iTunes are not authorised for iCloud viewing currently either.
Maybe it has something to do with iTunes Match 'getting in the way' - i think they assume you'll use that whereas you really want to be able to access Purchased music from the cloud without subscribing to itunes Match which is overkill for some.

Nothing in the instructions about transferring via "HomeSharing" states to use the Import button.

What specific step are you having an issue with?

The enclosed ACTIVATION & USE MANUAL is very limited. It only tells you how to activate the phone after inputting a zip code. On the web there are many contact numbers for customer service but ALL REQUIRE a Verizon cell number.

A friend I know had this issue and was told to activate the phone first and then call *611. You also can dial from any other phone this number 1 888 294 6804 and choose 1. They both can handle the tranfer without any problem.

Yes you need to have the classes that you want to import. If you have them then you need to add them to your project's classpath.
