Just wondering if anyone could let me know more about this ipod 5.5 gen,
Is it the ipod classic 80gb ?
Has it got coverflow like the classic,

To clarify Bryan's post a bit, the "5.5 generation" tag is not an official designation but simple a slang name we/the discussion forums gave the second version of the 5th generation Video iPods to help differential between the two somewhat different types of 5th generation iPods as they are the same "family/line" but did have some differences (5.5 Gens got better battery life, brighter screens, a music search function, and possibly other things that slip my mind at the moment).
If you try to find them in the Apple support pages for specifications, the "5.5 Gen" ones are referred to as "Fifth Generation iPod (Late 2006)". Specs can be found here...

They don't. They are called rumors. Apple has said nothing about a new iPod touch, but its very likely there will be a new iPod touch since the last model was released 2 years ago.
But other than that, we are not allowed to speculate on Apple's decisions or possibility of new products here.

How does the system you have been given not work with your iPod? What is the problem?
What is your point about the 4th generation adaptor? The "adaptor" is merely a physical piece of plastic that sits in the Docking Station's dock and creates the exact shape for your model of iPod to fit snugly into it. So a 1st or 2nd generation iPod would not benefit in any way from a 4th gen adaptor.
Are you trying to find a portable iPod Docking Station that works without mains power?

Less complicated in what way? What exactly are you finding complicated? Simply place the iPod into the Docking Station and (presumably) select the iPod input and press play.

There are still some apps compatible, with the 2G. Also, since September, Apple has now allowed download the last version of apps that were compatible with the 2G but have been updated to no longer be compatibles

Why would you need a wi-fi card?
It sounds like you are talking about a SIM card, which has nothing at all to do with wi-fi. It is for cellular service from a wireless phone provider. If this is what you mean, then no. Ipods are not cell phones and cannot access cellular data.

There is no legal way to do this- You would need to be using the same AppleID (account)
As far as deleting the songs, in a situation like this, you should restore the iPod which will delete the songs as well as allow you to sync your own music.

Hey Sierra, You can do just what you have stated. My question, what is your "other"? If it is over 1.5 GB you most likely have corrupt files. Doing a Restore to New, Factory restore should correct it. Just make sure you make a full backup of all information on your iPod to your computer before you restore, so you don't lose your stuff, contacts, videos, pictures, non-iTunes music, etc, use the cable and connect with your computer. Then, via cable, connect to your computer, run the Restore to new, don't use your backup. Treat this iPod as if it was your first one ever. When restore is done, set up and add what info you wish to install on this iPod. The music apps etc you purchased should be on your computer, if not you should be able to retrieve purchased apps and music from iTunes. Any music, videos, apps not purchased from iTunes will be lost to you if you do not save them to your computer or the cloud first. When your done, make a current Backup and you should good to go. This is going to depend on how you are syncing music to your iPod nano. If you are automatically syncing, what option do you have selected in this menu? (Entire music library, or Selected content)
You may want to uncheck the "Sync Music" box, apply the changes, then recheck the box, and apply the changes once more. This will instruct iTunes to completely remove all music from your iPod, and then copy the files once more. If you have a large amount of music, this initial sync may take a while.
