What is the last day to get $100 App Store Gift Card?
Does anyone know when the current educational promotion (for the $100 App Store Gift Card) expire? I've looked everywhere and can't find it.
I went into the Apple store yesterday to buy a 27” iMac but the configuration I wanted was not in stock and was told I could order it online and have it shipped to the store. This morning I got an email from by Apple Visa saying they have a special 18-month No Interest offer on all purchases over $999 if I buy something at the Apple Store or Apple online store in between 8/15-11/1. I don’t mind waiting, but I was wondering, when does the current educational promotion (for the $100 App Store Gift Card) expire? I’d like to get the $100 App Store Gift Card and the no interest, but if the promotion ends before 8/15 I would have to make a decision on which has a better value to me.
Thanks I found conflicting schedules on the promotion, some say August 20, and some say August 6. But more often then not they have September 6 as the end of the deal. This is great, I have my iMac saved in my cart and I just have to wait 2 weeks to make sure I get the no-interest deal on top of the $100 card. Being able to spread the payments out makes it easier for me to add in some upgrades, hello I7, 3TB fusion, and 2gb video card... my daughter is going to be so happy, and she can load it up with $100 app store gift card.

When i purchased my laptop at the apple store i received a $100 app store gift card and the woman that helped me took a picture of my gift card and then through it out because apparently the credit was the on my itunes. iTunes menu View > View sidebar.
Select the iTunes Store inteh sidebar, click your account name then Sign out.
Then click SIgn in. -

Why did I not a $100 app store gift card with my MacBook Pro purchase for college?
Hi, sometime in July I purchased a MacBook Pro 13 inch. for college at my local Apple Store. I got the discount and everything. I didn't even know I got a gift card until I saw that my friend had one the other day. And I also saw online that you got one. Why didn't I get one?
I actually bought it June 17. Is it too late to get one? Shoulnd't they have it on record whether or not they gave me one?

So I bought my Macbook Pro at the University of Missouri's tech store but I didn't get my gift card for the app store... is there a ay to redeem this somehow or is it impossible to get at this point in time?
You will need the numbers from the gift card to redeem for purchases at the App Store.
Best to go back to the U of M tech store and let them know.
If you received an email confirmation from the U of M tech store for purchasing the Mac, check there for the redemption code. -

The gift card is restricted to use in the Mac App Store and the iTunes Stores. It will not buy Apple hardware on the Apple Store website. -
I was given an App Store gift card (I don't have any devices for apps; I'm just an iTunes/music gal) what to do?
No gift receipt given with card; don’t feel right telling the person “thanks but this is wrong.” Especially since the nature of the thank you gift is from an emotional event for the gift giver.
My assumption is that if I attempt to redeem the App Store gift card that iTunes will apply it to a separate "ledger" for apps only and I will NOT be able to purchase music with the gift money.
I did not do what I did for this person with the thought of "oooh what I can I get in return?" I did it because I felt like it.Yep, exactly. When you go to buy any of the iTunes Store cards in the Apple Store, they say "All cards work on the iTunes Store, App Store, iBookstore, and Mac App Store. ". So it's just labeling, something which confuses a lot of people.

I had the same error when trying to update my apps on my ipod touch. I tried to input my security code numerous times to no avail. I also made sure my billing address was the same as what my bank had on file. To fix the issue I went into iTunes, logged onto the iTunes store, went to account settings and reviewed my recent purchases. Turned out that I had made a recent purchase and didn't have enough money left on my credit card to pay for it at the time. I paid off the credit card, and then input my security code once more and now it works fine. I've heard that some debit or pay as you go credit cards require a minimum balance, so make sure you have at least that amount in your account.

thanksThe Mac and the iPad uses different operating systems (iOS in the iPad, and OS X in the Mac), and they use different applications. Pages has got two versions, one for iOS and another version for OS X, so if you have Pages for your iPad, you have to pay to have that application in your Mac

And how can I see the balance remaining on the gift card?If the card has been redeemed then its remaining amount should be on your account, the card itself is now effectively zero. My account's balance shows at the top left of the store's page on my computer's iTunes, and by logging in to view my account via the Store > View Account menu option. On my devices it shows at the bottom of, for example, the Featured tab in the App Store app under my account id (or you can view your account via Settings > iTunes & App Stores and it should show on the screen that you are taken to).
As long as you are buying content for yourself then purchases should be deducted from your balance - if you are gifting content then that can only be done from a credit card.

You can view your full purchase history via your computer's iTunes : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it. Click on that and you should then see a list of your purchases (the most recent is above the list).

To use the iTunes Store, you need at least iTunes 9.2.1 which requires Mac OS X 10.4.11 or later. You'll need to upgrade her computer to 10.4 or 10.5 before she'll be able to redeem her card and make purchases.
Apple no longer offers Mac OS X 10.4, though they may still have copies of 10.5 if you call the Apple Store (and assuming that your G4 will support 10.5; it requires at minimum an 867MHz G4 processor). Otherwise you'll have to look to independent resellers or places such as eBay for a copy of 10.4 or 10.5; make sure you get a retail (black label) copy, not the system disk from another Mac (grey label).
