I have a vintage Mac G3 B/W Desktop PPC, which still operates perfectly. But, at times Safari 4.1.3. periodically crashes. Is there a later revision that I can upgrade to? Software Update says the computer is up to date.

I am sorry it has taken so long for me to respond to your post, but I have isolated my Safari crashes to my system not accepting some new RAM that I instaled. You posted that Safari 4.1.3 was the latest version for OSX 10.4.11,Tiger,followed by a statement"Not on a G3 (85970)". What did you mean by this statement and is the 85370 an Apple document number? I need to update my system information. My system still is a G3 B/W PPC, but I have upgraded the Processor to a G4, if that makes any difference

If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.

OS X Mountain Lion is compatible with Mid 2007 (iMac7,1 or newer) iMacs, so to check that you have a compatible Mac, press , hold the Option (Alt) key and open System Information. Then, check Model Identifier. Also, the App Store will tell you if your iMac is supported when you try to purchase OS X Mountain Lion, so you can skip this step.

I'm not sure how all of this works but I read a few of yur comments and figured you'd be the person to ask! I have an iPod touch as well as my iPhone 4. I'm trying to find an otter box for the touch because I truly love it on my ip4, not to mention ive given the touch to my 6 year old and NEED the protection. Anyway, I'm not positive which generation it is and don't want to order the wrong one. The model # is A 1367.

While no one may be bothering to write exploits in PPC code any longer, at least for Flash, that doesn't mean that there aren't any still floating around. The following doesn't specifically mention PPC/Intel, but that doesn't mean there weren't critical vulnerabilities being exploited for PPC in 10.1.102.64. I wouldn't want to take the chance.

Plugins have special access to the system. When they are instantiated by the browser, they run as if you were running any regular application, which is true even for out-of-process plugins (which were never available for 10.4Fx due to Tiger SDK limitations). Like any buggy or insecure application, they can be exploited or made to crash, and because the plugin runs within the browser, such methods can also be used to attack, spy upon or destabilize the browser as well. They have also been used to attack the network the computer is running on, and a well-crafted attack vector such as that example can run anywhere Flash does, including Power Macs. Because plugins load automatically by default when the page calls for them, your system could be exploited before you even notice.
Many of these attacks can be mitigated, though not entirely prevented, by the use of add-ons that can block plugins from loading. However, there is still another problem apart from security: Mozilla is changing the environment and the technical requirements for how plugins interact with the system. These technical requirements are difficult to achieve with Mac OS X 10.4, and there are known graphical and compatibility bugs already. It is entirely possible that in the near future, extant PPC-compatible plugins will not function properly or at all.

I got a iPod Photo 60Gb and try to connect this to my Ice Link Gateway 500 in my car. It work fine on my other car using icelink but doesn't work with the new one. It say it does support iPod Photo. According to the Swedish and British Sony website, the latest version for the Xperia Tablet Z is 10.1.1.A.1.253 released on 17th of May.
But this is the latest version for the Xperia Z (phone) not the tablet Z... Or am I wrong?
It's a bit confusing, when the manufacturer cannot keep track of the phone and tablet...

Depends on if you have the WiF version or the LTE version. For LTE the latest is 10.1.1.A.1.253 and for WiFi it's 10.1.C.0.344.

The best word processor is Mellel. TextEdit, Nisus Writer, and Open/Libre/NeoOffice should also work OK.
MS Word for Mac does not do Arabic, but I am not sure about Excel and PowerPoint. If not, OpenOffice would be the only option.
iWork has bugs that probably make it unsuitable for RTL for most people.
